Chapter 4

1430 words

"Where did you disappear yesterday at the party?" An inquiring voice speaks.

Wonwoo just groans in annoyance, staying under his blanket. He's feeling completely different than just ten hours ago. He's not feeling so light and bubbly anymore. The thundering headache has been bothering him ever since he woke up an hour ago and he's feeling so tired although he slept for good nine hours. Also, he had to go to the bathroom to throw up right away when he woke up, and it seems like he'll throw up soon again if he doesn't stay still at exactly where he's laying now.

He doesn't really want to answer the question. He feels uncomfortable every time he's reminded of the day before. After getting too excited by Mingyu kissing his neck and grinding against his crotch, Wonwoo run straig(well, as straight as you can while you're drunk your head off) to his dorm.

"Wonwoo, answer me. I couldn't find you anywhere even though I looked for you for an hour!"

When Wonwoo still doesn't answer - because how could he explain yesterday's events to anyone when he himself isn't sure of what happened and why - he feels the blanket being pulled off of him and the chilly air hits his bare torso, making him whine.

"Jeon Wonwoo, I require an answer! I know you have a hangover just like I do, but it doesn't mean that you can just ignore me like that!" Hoshi's loud voice makes Wonwoo grimace.

"I... was at the party...?" Wonwoo finally suggests, his voice raspy, and he tries to desperately reach for his blanket, hands grasping towards it.

Hoshi sighs, "Yeah, I know that! I myself dragged you out there."

"Yeah! It was you who forced me to go there, so it was all your fault!" Wonwoo blames Hoshi, more grumpy than usually due to the nausea.

Hoshi's eyebrows furrow in confusion, "Did something happen?" he asks softer, sitting down on Wonwoo's bed, "You're acting all weird."

Nah, not really. Only that there was this one really hot guy and I was his fake boyfriend and we kissed. Then I got so turned on that I had to run away before he noticed it, and now I'll have to face him at the school every day from now on. So yeah, nothing more than just a normal Friday night.

"Did something happen? You tell me," Wonwoo returns the question instead of answering it, and now Hoshi is the deer in the headlights.

"Do you and Seokmin have something going on or..?" Wonwoo continues inquiring, making Hoshi blush.

Hoshi shoves the blanket back to Wonwoo and mutters something like"what are you talking about? stop talking nonsense" and gets up quickly.

But before he stumbles out of Wonwoo's dorm, face all red, he mutters: "Get up, it's over midday already."

Wonwoo just chuckles slightly at him and snuggles back to his blanket. He's so not moving from his bed for the whole day. Or a week.

No matter how hard Wonwoo tries to fool Hoshi that he's sick, Hoshi still sees through Wonwoo's attempts to skip classes and makes sure that Wonwoo gets up and leaves for his classes. At times like these Wonwoo isn't sure if he's more grateful or annoyed to have a best friend like Hoshi, who lives right next door. (Even though Wonwoo doesn't admit it often, he's ten times more grateful than annoyed.)

The reason for Wonwoo's unwillingness is that he really doesn't want to run into Mingyu. He isn't sure if he'd be able to look Mingyu in the eyes and greet him like a normal person when he had been a moaning mess between Mingyu and the wall just a few days ago. He's embarrassed.

So, there Wonwoo is, walking in the hallway of his school building, balancing a pile of school books to hide his face so that if Mingyu happens to walk past him, he wouldn't be able to recognize Wonwoo.

The plan doesn't really work though, and Wonwoo regrets ever coming up with a plan that shitty when he bumps into something - more like someone - and all of his school books scatter to the floor. On top of everything, he manages to trip on one of the books, landing on his ass.

As he hits the floor he lets out a muffled groan and moans a quiet 'fuck'

"Oh my god, I'm so sorry!" the person starts apologizing, picking up the books for Wonwoo. " I was looking at my phone and I didn't notice you."

Wonwoo freezes, and lifts his eyes up at the familiar voice.

Oh my fucking god, it's Mingyu.

"Oh." Wonwoo manages to huff.

"Oh, hi Wonwoo!"

"Hi, Mingyu," Wonwoo grits out in pained voice as he holds his butt which hurts from the fall.

"Oh my god, I'm so so sorry!" Mingyu repeats, extending his hand out for Wonwoo to grip on and get up, "are you okay?"

When Wonwoo's standing safely on his own legs, he still feels wobbly.

"Yeah," he smiles (more like grimaces awkwardly, but he hopes that Mingyu doesn't notice).

"Funny to meet you again like this," Mingyu laughs and Wonwoo just chuckles nervously, nodding, and grabs his books from Mingyu, thanking him.

"Sorry about that though," Mingyu says apologetically for the third time already.

"Don't worry it was also my fault. I didn't look where I was walking." Wonwoo mutters, glancing at the clock on the wall, "Oh damn, I gotta rush before I'm late! Bye!" He lies quickly, starting to walk away from Mingyu.

"Oh okay. See you around, Wonwoo!"

"Yeah, see you!" Wonwoo answers, quick walking until he's out of Mingyu's sight. He lets out a deep sigh and curses himself for always being so goddamn awkward.

Wonwoo can't believe his bad luck when he sees Mingyu next time a few hours later sitting in their school's diner. (Or maybe I'm not that unlucky, Wonwoo thinks as he stares at Mingyu who looks so damn good in his basic white t-shirt and tight black jeans.)

Hoshi elbows Wonwoo to get his attention, "Hey, there's Mingyu! Let's go sit with him!"

"What -, you know him?"

"Nope, not really. But I do know that he's a new kid here and doesn't have many friends yet. So let's go! I bet he doesn't bite!"

Wonwoo chuckles at that, thinking back to the party. Yeah, well he did bite my neck at least once or twice...

But Wonwoo doesn't say anything and so he has to just obediently follow behind Hoshi who's already making his way to Mingyu who's sitting on the other side of the room.

"Hey Mingyu! I'm Hoshi and this is Wonwoo" Hoshi greets gleefully, Wonwoo standing next to him, embarrassed.

"Hi?" Mingyu answers confusedly, and his greeting ends up sounding more of a question than greeting.

"I'm sorry, do I know you? I usually don't forget people's names or faces but I don't remember meeting you," Mingyu says apologetically and as politely as he can.

Wonwoo looks absolutely mortified and almost turns to leave, but Mingyu notices his mistake before Wonwoo has time to.

"Oh, I mean of course I know you, Wonwoo," he corrects himself, "But I have never met you," Mingyu motions towards Hoshi with his other hand.

Now it's Hoshi's turn to be the confused one, "Wait, you know Wonwoo?" He turns to Wonwoo, "What? You know each other? How didn't I know? Why didn't you tell me?"

Before Hoshi continues inquiring, Wonwoo hustles him to sit down on the seat next to Mingyu and shoves a piece of bread from his tray to Hoshi's open mouth.

"Stop being overdramatic and calm down," Wonwoo rolls his eyes, sitting down on the seat opposite to Hoshi and Mingyu, "We met at the party."

"What? And you never told me?" Hoshi gasps, his frantic gaze flicking between Wonwoo and Mingyu.

His furious face switches to something more sly when he seems to realize something, "Oh, so that's why you disappeared that night. You were busy hoei-"

Hoshi is cut by Wonwoo kicking him to the foot under the table.

"Ouch! Watch out!" Hoshi hisses, and Wonwoo flashes a mock apologetic smile.

Mingyu just watches Wonwoo's and Hoshi's bickering, amused.

"I dare to guess that you two are pretty good friends, aren't you?" he smiles.

Wonwoo huffs, rolling his eyes, muttering something about good friends, bullshit, but nods eventually, "Well, we've known each other ever since the kindergarten."

"Okayy, well... this is going to be fun," Mingyu chuckles.
