Hello, Kittens!

So I'm also going to be doing another BNHA/Pokemon crossover this one is called 'Lovely Nightmare' it starts off as depressed Izuku so its got some angst in there and is definitely a different tune than what this fic is.

Izuku stretched as he woke up, his back letting out a satisfying pop. He planned on going to 'The Nest' today to get his aura read, he wasn't exactly sure what he was expecting though. Honestly, whatever he gets as his aura type doesn't really matter to him. He loves all pokemon and would be happy no matter what.

Izuku quickly got up, got dressed, and packed up what little he had unpacked last night. He was just reaching for his phone when it started ringing. Izuku blinked in surprise, he really wasn't expecting a call at the moment considering it was about 7 am.

He picked up his phone and hit the answer key, "Hello?"

"Hey. Sorry, if I woke you up.." A familiar voice said from the other side.

Izuku shook his head, and proceeded to realize he wasn't on a video call, "Nah. I was just packing up to leave, so you're fine, Gladion."

Gladion let out a hum on the other side, "Well that's good, I was trying to time the call to a point where you would already be awake."

"Even if I was asleep I wouldn't be bothered by the phone waking me up you know" Izuku shifted his backpack off of his shoulder and sat down on the bed, he would leave after he got done with this call, "Anyway, how's Lillie? And Nebby?"

"Both of them are doing fine. Lillie is still holding her spot as Champion and Hau hasn't had any luck in beating her yet." You could hear the brotherly pride dripping from his tone, "Hows Yuuei so far?"

"Weird." Izuku said honestly, that got a snort out of Gladion, "I've only been here for a day and it's already pretty weird.."

"How weird exactly?" Gladion questioned.

Izuku groaned at what he was about to say, "Kukuki in his wrestling costume, times ten."

Gladion let out a whistle, "So everyone in Yuuei is crazy?"

"I don't think it's that. I think they're just.. eccentric?" Izuku said more as a question than a statement, "Eh.. I'll send you a picture of what I mean later if I remember."

"Alright. It would be good to- Hey! Type:Null no!" A bang could be heard from the other side of the phone, "Shit- Sorry, Izuku. I gotta go!" He was in a rush, before abruptly hanging up.

Izuku chuckled to himself a little. 'That was amusing to listen to.' He thought. He looked down at his phone and checked the time it was almost 8 am by this point.

Izuku shrugged his backpack back onto his shoulders, put his phone in his pocket, and headed out to find 'The Nest'.

As Izuku approached 'The Nest' he pulled out the card Hawks gave him. They probably wouldn't let him in otherwise considering he didn't have a pokemon and this was some kind of battle facility.

Izuku walked up to the doors and pushed them open, he was not expecting the entire inside of the building to have an actual bird's nest motif, but he probably should've been expecting that.

"Hey, Midoriya!" Hawks said from above him. Hawks was leaning over a railing, a smile plastered to his face. Izuku almost didn't recognize him because of the pilot-like costume he was wearing, oh, and let's not forget the giant set of wings on his back.

Izuku just blinked at him for a moment, not entirely sure how to react to this, "Ah-Hi?" Izuku said, it sounded more like a question, but..

"I'm glad you made it!" Hawks said as he jumped from the railing. Izuku panicked a bit, but Hawks was caught by a Pigeot and flew him down, "Let's go get your aura read kid!" He said, signaling for Izuku to follow him.

"So, do you have any idea of what your type could be?" Hawks asked as they walked.

Izuku shook his head, "Not really? I haven't paid much attention if I'm honest." He answered, "I've been around all kinds of pokemon ever since I was little and most of them seemed to like me, no matter their type."

Hawks nodded a bit, "Well, you are a pokemon breeder, and are training to be a rehabilitator they don't let just anyone do that." He commented, "Here we are."

The two walked into a room, it seemed to be some kind of lab, but it wasn't as extensive as some of the other Izuku has seen. A short man with white hair came over to greet them, he was wearing a lab coat and was obviously the main researcher here.

"Hello, Hawks, who is this?" The man asked.

"This is Midoriya." Hawks introduced, pushing Izuku forward with one hand, "I brought him here so you could read his aura, Nezu."

"Hmm.." Nezu hummed in interest, he circled Izuku for a moment. Izuku felt like he was about to be pounced on by a Pyroar because of Nezu's unwavering eyes, "His main type is Fairy. His secondary type is Dragon. Definitely an unusual combination that you don't see very often."

Izuku blinked. Once. Twice. Thrice, "So I am the most compatible with both fairy and dragon types..?"

Hawks whistled, "Damn Kid! I figured you would be strong, but seriously leave some power for everyone else!" He joked. He knew Izuku was going to have a hard time with this Aura combination.

Dragon and Fairy were types that did not get along with each other, at least not very often. Because of Izuku's conflicting Aura most of the time those pokemon wouldn't be able to tell whether they liked Izuku or not. Some would like him immediately because one type would temporarily override the other in the pokemon's system, others would hate him on the spot for the same reason.

"Well, now that we know your type we can get you a starter!" Hawks started to walk over to a separate part of the lab, Nezu went back to his work, giving a small nod to Izuku as he was led away.

"This part of the lab is where we hatch eggs and care for baby pokemon." Hawks said, "There is a pokemon over here that will fit you and your aura to a T."

He led Izuku over to where a mother Togekiss was with her babies, "This is Athena, my Togekiss. She's my secondary ace for my team, but she's been out of commission for a while because of her taking care of her babies." He said introducing the pokemon. She looked at them through the glass separating them from her and her young. She made a small cooing sound at them as a sign they could enter.

The two of them entered and immediately Izuku was swarmed by three Togepi, "They seem to like you." He commented, holding back a laugh as Izuku was then crowned and snuggled by their mother.

"I- Uh- Yeah, you think so?" Izuku asked rhetorically, as he was on the floor, the Togepi on his lap and their Mother cooing at him, in a friendly manner. This Togekiss reminds Izuku of his Mother's Gardevoir. She would act in a similar manner, especially when there was baby pokemon around that she was caring for.

"Athena is very friendly with everyone, no matter their aura type. Overall she is very calm." Hawks explained.

Athena suddenly stopped cooing at Izuku and went back over to her nest, grabbing something from inside. She presented Izuku with another Togepi, but this one was different from the others.

Izuku and the Togepi stared at each other for a moment before Izuku spoke, "I- What?"

Hawks snorted, "You lived in both Alola and Galar, right?" Izuku nodded, urging him to continue, "Well, like those two regions have region-specific forms, so does Yuuei, but unlike those two Yuuei didn't name the forms after our region." He said.

"Then what are our regional forms called?" Izuku questioned as the Togepi sat itself in Izuku's lap with its siblings.

"Delta forms." He said petting Athena, "Pretty badass name if you ask me."

Izuku cracked a smile, "I guess, but Athena is a normal Togekiss and so are her other babies."

Hawks nodded, "Athena was bread with a Delta Togekiss." He said, "He's actually my best friend's pokemon, but he isn't a battle pokemon. Just a pet." He explained, "The two snuck off and mated without either of us noticing, and by the time we found out it was too late."

Izuku chuckled, "I know how that is." Izuku said, "Sometimes my parents' pokemon would go missing for a short time and then in the next few months we would have babies pokemon. It's why my mom and Dad decided to get most of their Pokemon fixed."

"Yeah, it's definitely a good idea if you don't want baby pokemon running around, but I don't particularly mind all that much." He admitted, "Though after this litter is all given away to trainers I am getting Athena, as well as the rest of my team fixed."

"So about this, uh- Delta Togepi?" Izuku questioned.

Hawks chuckled, "Here in the Yuuei region, Togkiss and Altraia would fight over territory a lot. Because of this, it caused some changes in both, Delta became a Fairy Dragon-type, while Delta Altaria Turned into Poison Dragon."

Izuku nodded in understanding, "So you want me to take this Togepi?" Izuku asked.

"Yep! It's a perfect fit!" Hawks said, "Plus she really seems to like you. Your aura mostly reminds her of her father. So what do you say?"

Izuku smiled down at the Togepi in his lap, "How would you like to be my starter?"

The small Togepi chirped in excitement and snuggled into Izuku, obviously agreeing to become his partner.

Izuku is now, almost, officially on his way to starting his journey.
