Talks

Hi, Kittens!

Sooo- I've been feeling a slight burnout on a lot of my stories (not this one tho) and haven't had a lot of motivation to write. Coupled with the preparations that I've been helping with for my birthday (Tody) I haven't had a lot of time to write anyway.

And then we have the issue of school starting on the 10th so that sucks too.

Anyway! I plan on writing for my other stories at least a little after my birthday is over.

Enjoy the chapter! Leave comments and feedback <3

Izuku made his way down the street, using his phone's GPS to lead him to the nearest hotel. The place was called 'Ground Zero Inn.' an odd name, for sure, but most things about Yuuei were odd.

Namely the gym leaders and elite four. They all put on some flashy costumes that represented their types and most of the time part of their personality. Some of the trainers from what he's seen from his short time walking from the airport also wore some of those costumes.

Some were pretty cool, but Izuku just didn't get it. I mean, why go through all that effort when it's so much easier to put on a hoodie or something. Izuku would understand if it was for contests or something, but for battling?

This is exactly why Bede says he has no sense of style what so ever. He's right, but Izuku dosen't like to admit that.

Maybe he'll get a sense of style while he's here in Yuuie? Hopefully, it won't be parading around in a weird costume.

Bede will murder him if that happens.

Izuku was pulled out of his thoughts by a small ding on his phone.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Sheeple

Bede: Are you off the plane?

Izuku: Yep!

Izuku: I also met someone on the flight...

Bede: Who?

Izuku: Hawks.

Bede: Izuku, I don't know who that is.

Izuku: He's the second strongest Elite four member in Yuuie..

Izuku: He gave me his personal contact info. and gave me clearance to go to 'The Nest'

. . .

. . .

. . .

Izuku: Bede?

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Izuku jolted as his phone started to ring, 'Oh boy...' Izuku thought as he picked up the phone.

"Midoriya Izuku you have five seconds to explain exactly what lead to you meeting an elite four member and them taking an interest in you, before you even laned." Bede damned. Izuku could hear the strain in his voice, he was definitely holding off a tantrum.

Izuku took a deep breath before he started explaining, "He overheard me muttering about my plans to get my rehabilitator license, getting my breeder license renewed, and participating in the Trainer's League. After that, we just talked for a while before he shoved a cad in my hand and disappeared."

"That made zero sense whatsoever, but from what I've seen of Yueei everyone makes zero sense there." Bede said, uncaring of how rude he sounds.

Izuku huffed a small laugh, "I mean you aren't wrong."

"If you start parading around in one of those ridiculous costumes I swear to Arceus I will kill you." Bede threatened.

"I'm not surprised," Izuku said. He heard his phone give off a small chime signaling it was going to die soon, "Hey, Bede I gotta go. My phone is about to die."

Bede huffed in annoyance, "Whatever. We'll finish this conversation later." He said before abruptly hanging up.

Izuuku stared at his phone for a second. Bede had been harsher to him in the weeks before he left. They were almost always together, but he was just acting really strange.

Izuku was suddenly torn away from staring blankly at his phone when he accidentally ran into someone, "Oh- Sorry! I didn't mean to bump into you!" Izuku apologized.

"Tch. Watch where your fucking going you damn extra!" A spiky blond boy yelled. He had a small cyndaquil that had black fur instead of the normal bluish-green color. The cyndaquil seemed very tired of their trainer's yelling.

"U-um.. I said I was sorry? I just wasn't paying attention." Izuku said, 'Why is this guy being so rude? There's no reason for it.' He thought.

The blond rolled his eyes before scooping the cyndaquil into his arms, "Whatever, you piece of shit. Just stay out of my way you damn Deku!" He yelled before storing away, the cyndaquil leaning over his shoulder giving Izuku an apologetic look.

Izuku looked after the boy, 'Ok then...?' He decided to just ignore... Whatever that was and keep making his way to the Inn. Jet lag was starting to get to him and he was honestly exhausted.

As Izuku got into his room he set down his backpack and face planted on the bed. He was starving, but also debating on just going to sleep and eating something big in the morning.

After a few minutes of thought Izuku decided to eat and then sleep otherwise he'd probably wake up nauseous in the morning. That tended to happen when he didn't eat.

Izuku heaved himself off of the admittedly really comfortable bed and grabbed his wallet and phone before heading out the door, making sure he locked the room before he left. Heading down the hallway he started humming to himself slightly. It was a habit he picked up from his Dad, the muttering came from his Mom.

He heard the small sound of bells next to him as he hummed. A Chimecho wat floating around him trying to follow the tune.

A chuckle was heard from the front desk as Izuku made his way into the lobby, the chimecho and him still trying to match each other's tune, "I see Bell has taken a liking to you." One of the owners said from behind the front desk. He was a very plain looking man, nothing really special about him. Brown hair, brown eyes, average height, but he was extremely kind. He decided to let Izuku stay here free of charge because it's his first time in Yuuei.

"Is that her name?" Izuku asked. The chimecho twirled around his head continuing to chime as a way to gain his attention again. Izuku smiled at her antics.

The man, Mr. Bakugou as his name tag read, nodded, "Yes. She's usually a lot more shy when it comes to tenants. I've never seen her act like this before."

Izuku shrugged, "I'm not sure why she likes me so much." Izuku replied, petting the chimecho on the head with two of his fingers.

"Hmm. Maybe it's because of your type matchup? I'm assuming you don't know what it is considering you look young enough to not have taken a gym challenge." Mr. Bakugou said with a small shrug. He quickly went back to what he was doing before.

Bell seemingly done playing with Izuku floated over to Mr. Bakugou and began to watch what h was doing. Izuku made his way out of the building. It was just about sunset now, but there were restaurants and stores would still be open for a few more hours.

Izuku walked down the same street the Inn was on and just looked around for a few minutes. There was quite a few options ranging from the classic greasy burger joints and pizza places to a few more 'Exotic' restaurants. They would be considered exotic if Izuku wasn't a world traveler.

'Maybe I can buy ingredients to make malasadas...' Izuku thought, 'Though that's more of a dessert thing. Sweet-Spicy curry sounds good.'

Izuku stopped at the nearest supermarket. He looked around for a while and grabbed the things he would need for the curry before heading to check out.

He noticed the guy next to him in the self-checkout was eyeing his ingredients a little. The guy looked up and noticed Izuku looking back at him a little oddly.

"Sorry." He started, "I just... If I didn't know any better I would've thought that you were making curry and thats not something people usually do around here.

Izuku chuckled a bit, "Actually I am." He said. He noticed the guy ad a sort of distinct style. It was a sort of grunge punk look. Izuku swears he's seen it somewhere before, but he can't place it.

"Oh." The purple-haired guy said in surprise, "Are you from Galar?" He asked.

Izuku shook his head, "I wasn't born there, but I lived there for a year until today." He said, "You?"

"Cool. I was born and raised in Galar, but decided to do Trainer's league here." He said.

Izuku smiled at him and held out his hand for the other to shake, "I'm Midoriya Izuku." He said, "Do you mind me asking what town you are from? I didn't get to go through the whole region, but I've been to a majority of it."

The guy took his hand in a firm grip, "Shinsou Hitoshi. I'm from Spikemuth."

Izuku snapped his fingers on his other hand, "That's where I've seen that style before!" He said.

Shinsou chuckled a bit, "Yeah, Spikemuth has a pretty unique style, though it's not for everyone." He said, "Have you been there before?"

Izuku nodded while bagging the rest of his items, "I've been there once. I was delivering an egg to Pierce. My mom is an exotic pokemon breeder and he requested a pokemon from her."

Shinsou seemed to squint at Izuku for a minute before some form of recognition lit his eyes, "Oh shit! I'm the dumbass that ran into you and almost made you break that egg!"

Izuku looked at him. He didn't get a good look at the guy back then. Izuku chuckled again, "Yeah and then you proceeded to say, and I quote, 'Watch where you're going Pretty Boy!'"

Hitoshi groaned, "Don't remind me! I don't even know why I said that!"

Izuku was laughing a little at his expense, "Aww so you don't think I'm pretty?" He teased.

"I- Wait! No! I never-" Hitoshi's face had a dusting of red on his pale skin, due to both embarrassment and being flustered by Izuku.

"I'm joking!" Izuku said good-naturedly. That seemed to calm Hitoshi, but his face was still red, "Anyway I've gotta go. I haven't eaten in since I got and I am staring." Izuku waved at Hitoshi as he left, "Maybe we'll see each other during the Trainer's League."
