A/N: Hi everyone! It's been a long time! And for that, I want to apologize! This book was written by me when I was in middle school and so for that, please excuse my poor writing and grammar mistakes from the previous chapters ! I've been terribly busy since then and only recently have I been on Wattpad for the first time (and got to say, the new update's been interesting lol)

This chapter was a draft years ago and so I attempted to finish it and look over it a couple of more times before publishing it.

I just want to say, thank you to all the readers who continued to read and who still wished for an update for this weirdly childish book 😅 This was the first story I have ever written and so for that, thank you so much!

I don't want to promise that I'll update soon but for sure I still want to continue the story! So for now, I hope you'll enjoy!

3rd P.O.V

A blond mage approached a bridge that was under the cherry blossom trees. She looked up towards the sky that was blanketed with a dark shade of blue. The wind softly blew, and it was still cold enough to make her shiver.

"Natsu, that baka..." Lucy whispered under her breath, water brimming in her eyes. Being in love was not always what people told you. It was not always full of happiness and warmth. But also filled with pain and despair.

"Let's go! The fireworks are starting!" A couple ran past her, making their way to the other side of the bridge where the best view was at. Lucy sighed and stared up into the night sky, awaiting the fireworks.

boom! boom!

After some time, the first firework lit up the sky. It was a pink one, and it had reminded the mage about the familiar salmon-haired man. The thought made Lucy's heart sank even deeper.

Before the second firework could start, Lucy hears the sound of sandals thumping against the wooden bridge. Afraid to get her hopes up high, she refused to turn around.

The sound gets louder and Lucy hears panting breaths approach her quickly, "Hey, Luce! Ya know how long it took me to find you? This place is too big! They should have some sort of a map!"

Lucy's heart sped up and she finally turns around to see the salmon-haired idiot with a grin on his face. Lucy's eyes glistened with tears and a smile quivered onto her lips. "N-Natsu?"

He began walking towards her, his smile never leaving his face, "Why are you all alone? Where's Happy?"

By the time he had approached Lucy, her emotions were spiraling out of control. "Why-"

Before he could say another word, she had given him another one of her famous Lucy-kicks. "Baka! Natsu! Baka!"

Once he had recovered, he reacted dramatically once again. "Ah! That hurt! What the heck did I do now?"

Lucy wrapped her arms around his neck, startling the mage as he found his balance. "Wha-"

"Don't say anything." Her voice muffled against his neck. "Let's stay like this just for a few minutes."

He sighed in relief & pulled her in closer, her hair tickling the side of his cheek as he inhaled her familar scent. They both secretly wanted this, to be intangled in each other arms where they felt safe & happy. But the fear of not knowing the other's feelings was what kept them apart.

Another firework exploded in the sky, causing the two to pull away from each other. Her cheeks were tinted with pink, but because it was night, it wasn't very much visible. Natsu coughed in embarrassment as he scratched the back of his neck.

"A-Anyways." He coughed out. "We should be heading back now. Mira's probably wondering where we're at by now."

"R-Right!" She attempted a smile as the other mage began to walk ahead.

"Hey Natsu?" She slightly hesitated.

He turned around, his head tilting in way that warmed Lucy's heart. "Yeah, 'Luce?" It must've been several seconds that she stood there.

Thank you. Thank you for finding me.

She ran towards him and threw an arm around his shoulder, causing him to lean against her embrace. "We need to get going! I bet the others are probably looking for us!"

He could hear his heart racing, "W-Well it's because you were walking so slow! I thought you were Gramps or something!"

"What did you say?!" She screeched. "Come back here!"

She chased after the laughing young man under the fireworks without a care in the world.

Gajeel's P.O.V

Natsu clearly didn't help with the atmosphere. Let me rephrase that, that idiot of a brain just made things even worse.

For about several seconds, Levy refused to make eye contact with me for awhile as she awkwardly stood with her hands behind her back.

My mind raced with so many thoughts that I thought Levy would hear them. Should I talk about what happened last night? Maybe she still doesn't remember...

"Hey, Gajeel." Levy began, her head raised up to meet mines. "About last night..." Her cheeks began to turn red. "...A-About what I said..."

I took a step and closed the distance between us with a hug. I could feel her tense at the sudden action. "Don't...You don't have to say anything, Shrimp." She relaxed at my words and I heard her sigh in relief.

I placed my hands on her shoulder and parted myself from her. I leaned towards her face. I could lose myself in those brown orbs. "Levy. You are the many reasons why I am here today, standing right before you. You have changed me into a better person than I was back then and you made me someone I could be confident in & not ashamed of."

I took a deep breath. "Whatever happens now or in the future, promise we'll stay friends no matter what kind of fights we have, okay?"

She nods and elopes me in a hug, her head burying into my chest. "And if any of us have something that bothers us, promise me that we'll be honest with each other, alright?"

"Yeah..." I'll be honest with everything except my feelings for you. I can't afford to lose someone like you because of something that you could never accept. Staying by your side as a friend is enough for me.

After we parted, she checked her wrist watch and looked at the time. "Oh my gosh! It's already past nine! Mira is going to kill us!"

I laughed at her panic look which resulted in a playful glare at me. "Well if we're late, then let's get going!" I slung an arm around her shoulder and both of us walked back to the hotel with a slightly relieved heart.

3rd P.O.V

At cue, three of the couples arrived at the front of the hotel.

"Ah, it's Love Rival and Levy!" Juvia waved at the two who waved back.

"Hm, where did the two of you guys went?" Natsu raised an eyebrow.

Gray scratched the back of his neck as Juvia bursted in happiness. "Look what Gray-sama bought for Juvia!" She showed the two girls the matching bracelets from earlier.

"More like forced..." The ice mage grumbled under his breath.

"This is so cute!" Lucy cooed, taking a glance at Gray. "I didn't know you had a soft spot!"

"What do you mean soft spot?" He fumed back resulting in a laugh from the rest.

"Aww, did Ice Princess went soft for Juvia? How sweet!" Natsu teases his friend.

Gray growled, "Whatever! I'm going inside now!" He stomped through the automatic double doors with Juvia on his tail.

"Where is that demonic matchmaker of a woman at anyways? I expected her to be scolding us at the front." Gajeel commented as everyone went inside.

"Now that you mention it, I wonder where Mira is?" Levy asked.

The six of them entered the elevator. After a few seconds, the doors opened and they stepped into the hallway, heading to their suites.

"I'm beat!" Gajeel yawns, stretching his hands above his head. "Totally ready to sleep and never wake up again!"

Grey reaches into his coat pocket to fumble for the key card but to his surprise, it wasn't there. Adding to the fact that he wasn't even wearing his coat as he had probably stripped it off and left it somewhere when they had gone out.

"Ah! The key! I don't have it!"

The boys turn their heads to him. "What do you mean you don't have it?" Natsu exclaims. "How are we suppose to get inside?"

"Guys, don't worry! You could just go through our door to get in." Levy reaches in her bag and searches for the key card and groans when she later realizes that she doesn't have the key either. "I must've given it to Erza before she had left earlier."

"What are the odds that none of Juvia's friends have the key card? Next time, they should all bring their own key."

Lucy knocks on the door belonging to their suite, "Guys! Mira? Could you open the door? None of us don't have our keys!"

A few seconds later, a voice replies back to them from the inside. "No! First of all, I told you guys to have your keys with you at all times! And second, you came late! Now we have to stay indoors all day tomorrow!"

"Mira!" Levy exclaims. "We're sorry about all that!"

"Yeah, what Shrimp says! It was an honest mistake! We didn't know how much time had gone by!"

"Please let us in!"

"We can still have fun indoors!"

On the other side of the door, Mira stood while pondering and contemplating. Hmm, maybe we still can. There are a still lot of things that I have planned for them.

"What is Mira thinking?" Jellal whispers to Erza from inside the room.

"Who knows? Probably not something good anyway. Let's just be glad we're not involved with this." She sighs in relief, snuggling closer to the blue haired mage who wraps his arm around her shoulder and draws her closer to him.

The three troublesome couples hear the series of locks being unlatched and they are met with the innocent expression of Mira's face. "I'm glad you guys all made it back safely!" She clasps her hands together, urging them all to come inside.

"Now, let's all get some sleep! We have a big day ahead of us!"

"But I thought you were upset at us-"

"Shh! Let's leave it alone!" Lucy shushed Natsu. "Knowing Mira it's best if we deal with her tomorrow when we're fully rested."

"I guess you're right." He contemplates, later nodding his head in agreement.

"Come on Flame Brain. Let's go to our room already." Gray hollers at him, already heading in.

Natsu turns around to bid a farewell to the rest of the girls. "Good night everyone! See ya'll in the morning!"

His eyes sweep the room until he locks gazes with the blonde mage for a split second. An unnoticeable tint of blush appears on his cheeks as he closes the door on his way out.
