Chapter 12: To do is not what to do; the last day.

NATSU'S POV

I stared at the girl beside me. (CHIIIIII......(Only a true otaku an understand this). Hint: Usui did it in kaichou wa maid-sama,)

The last day. That means it is tonight. My palms became sweaty, because I was dead nervous. Only one question remained  in my mind, and that was, 'What is going to happen'?

I heard the bustling of the guild outside and I crawled out of bed. I opened the door quietly and closed it. I turned around and walked to my team, only for them to greet me with weird faces. Something is up here.

"Uh, hey." I greeted.

"How was she?" asked Happy. He must mean Lucy. But that smile lingering on his lips is telling me otherwise.

"Uh, she was a bit not okay, and all, then she became very submissive." I explained. Happy's jaw dropped to the floor in surprise. Why would he be surprised? It's not new anyways.

"And.......was it her first time? Of course it must be." said Erza.

"Are you crazy? That is not her first time!" I exclaimed. Her eyes widened in shock.

"Huh...?" asked Wendy.

"She did it not long ago, you know, I WAS there obviously. I think this is her second or third." I thought out loud.

"Okay, just to make it clear! Hearing you talk about how good Lucy was in bed is NOT something I ever planned to hear!" exclaimed Gray, rising from his seat.

"What? What are you talking about?" I asked confused.

"Wait, you two didn't have sex?" asked Erza. My face flushed.

"Wha..? No of course not!" I exclaimed quickly, my face hot. What? They thought about THAT?!

"Oh, uh sorry then." murmured Gray.

"Hold the fuck up. You thought that Lucy and I had sex?!" I exclaimed in shock....and nervousness. If that is even a word.

Everyone swayed to the side and looked to see someone behind me. I turned around and almost fell down when Lucy's body was so close.

"We had sex?" she asked.

"How much DID you hear?" I asked.

"Uh, Lucy and I had sex." she replied. We sweat-dropped. This will take some time to explain.

After all that hula buloo, Lucy understood everything. But waiitt, why is she outside? She isn't supposed to!

"....Lucy?" I asked.

"Hmmm?"

"Why are you not in your room.?"

".....Oh.....I thought I was."

We looked around frantically to see if Mira was around, thankfully, she wasn't. We rushed Lucy to her room, much to her surprise.

"It's a good thing Mira didn't see you." sighed Erza.

"But you're forgetting that I'm here too." said Wendy, and we all sweat-dropped. Oops.

Lucy went on her bed and pulled out a book, one that I had bought and brought for her. She sat quietly reading, and the rest of us took this chance to go outside and talk about tonight.

Just as we exited, we bumped into Mira and Master, who claimed that they were just about to see us.

"What are the plans for tonight?" asked Master.

"That is exactly what---------"

"EVERYONE STOP RIGHT THEREEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!!!" exclaimed Wendy suddenly. She just ran out of who knows where, and I swear she was with us a moment ago!

"Is something wrong?! What?!" asked Mira.

"I don't think it's tonight. No, it's tomorrow." she said.

"Well that just gives us more time, right?"

"No, not tomorrow night, tomorrow in the day. The moon will come out in the day. Everything will take place in the day." she explained.

"But......the sun."

"The place will look like it is night time, when in reality, it is supposed to be day light. The sun will go and the moon will appear, like night." she said further, breaking it down as she went.

"How do you know that?"

"I don't.....know actually.  All I remember is going outside with you guys then falling asleep. Then I ran outside." said Wendy strangely.

"Dream Lucy. She contacted you." said Gray.

Everything was making sense now. Wendy would never be able to figure that out, neither would any of us. And for it to be tomorrow just gives us more time.

"Excellent. Now that we have the chance, let's talk." said Master.

"Right. Dream Lucy said to make sure this Lucy here is outside, but when she is, make sure the moon is red. That is all the instructions we have." said Erza.

"Soooo, once we see the moon beginning to change it's colour, we drag her out." I summed up.

"Yes. But hey, remember when she also said that the mean part of Lucy, now, is fake? I have not seen that part of her for awhile." said Erza.

"And you're wrong about that." said Mira.

"What d'ya mean?"

"Lucy turned crazy on me one day when I accidentally tipped water over her. She was so pissed and I it was and accident! Thank fully, she was sick that time and fainted." said Mira slowly, shaking from the memory.

Was it that bad? Oh well, I'm not Mira. But for her to be shaken up, angry Lucy must have been really scary. Of course she was! What am I thinking?

ME LAZY, TIMESKIP NEXT DAY IN THE MORNING

I jumped from my bed, well, the bench and so did the rest of the team. We slept in the guild, last night. I can't believe it, it is today. It can happen anytime, we just have to look out........right?

"Guys...........it's not morning, let's get back to sleep." said Gray once he glanced outside.

"What time is it?" I asked.

"9:00 a.m." said Wendy.

"........"

"Are you sure it's not p.m?"

"No, it is 9:a.m. We went to sleep at midnight."

"So.........why is it night out?"

".........."

"CHECK FOR THE DAMN MOON!"

Everyone rushed outside, and broke our necks trying to look up to the sky. There was nothing except.....ah! I spotted it, the white moon. However, it had a light orange shade to it. Was the moon always this color?

Of course! It must be!

"The moon! There! It's starting to change!" exclaimed Erza.

My face looked stupid, as I tried to ponder on how the moon is changing.

"Natsu.......did you think that the pinkish orange color that it has was it's actual appearance?"

"........."

"Ass." muttered Gray. Happy and Charle quickly flew inside, and bumped into Master. They explained to him about getting Lucy out now, and thankfully, in no time, we had Lucy outside...under the moon.

"So do we have to wait for it to turn red now?" I asked.

"Precisely so." said Mira. Lucy, who was asleep for the while, stirred a bit but didn't actually awake. We didn't want to bother her though, in case we end up like Mira. I looked at the sky, and anyone could swear that it is night.

The moon was changing quickly.

"Will Lu-shee die?" asked Happy out of the blue. That question took me by shock.

"O-Of course not!" I replied, not really believing my answer either.

"Ryuk would have never lied. And dream Lucy said so herself. Well.....she sounded like it." muttered Erza.

"See! We're not even sure if she is going to die!" exclaimed Charle frantically.

"Let's just wait and see." I said finally, while all eyes turned to me.

"You sound like you don't care what happens." said Wendy.

"That's because I believe that apple eating reaper and I believe dream Lucy meant that too. And even if they're not sure, this Lucy here would definitely not die because she will fight. I don't know what will happen, and I don't know whether our real Lucy will ever come back, but even if she doesn't, no matter what Lucy we have, I promise to let her live and not die." I said.

I truly meant words. And I mean that promise. No matter what. Even if she was on the verge of leaving forever, I will find a way.

"It's close to red now. In fact, it does look like it." said Gray.

"It has to be darker. But you're right in one sense." said Happy. Lucy stirred in her sleep again, and this time, she woke up.

"Wha....?" she whispered, as she tiredly looked up at the sky, "Oh, it's still night."

"Lucy, it isn't." I said.

She looked at me, but didn't say anything. A weird feeling came over us all, and the moon turned a dark and bitter blood red. Lucy clutched her chest suddenly, and I panicked.

She started coughing, like she would. She was on her knees now. Something didn't feel right, because everything was foreign.

"Maybe we should step back." said Mira.

"Why?"

"There are runes surrounding her."

She was right. The same golden runes, like our Lucy would have, surrounded her. It bonded her, and memories of her being bonded by that spell flashed through my mind. Lucy looked scared, not knowing what is happening.

Thing is, neither do we.

The moon, however, was caring the shit out of me. Why did it have to be red? Huh?!

I hoped nothing painful happens to Lucy.

A golden light just appeared, near Lucy. Something about it made me feel at ease, and I don't know why. I wanted to go near it, but Erza shook her head.

"Let's just be an audience." she said.

The light had golden dust around it, the same way chains would. Everything looked so......celestial. Everything went around Lucy, and she just.........

collapsed.

There was silence among us. We didn't know what to do, until Mira ran up to her, when Lucy suddenly started feeling a lot of pain. Her chest and stomach, and Mira felt her head to say that it was hot!

"Is it a fever? Or is her sickness? Just what the hell is it?" quarreled Gray. However, Lucy mustered some words.

"Dragon's eye..............." she whispered. All this time, we never realized that the dragon's eye pendant on the necklace on Lucy was glowing......a bitter red.

"Mira! Get back!" warned Master. Mira did so quickly, and all of Lucy's power emitted from her like a force.

It went on for awhile, and then it died down, leaving her exhausted, until her weak eyes opened and I had this weird feeling.

".....I'm back."

That was all it took for me to realize what was happening.
