3:36pm

"CARMINE! WHERES THE LAPTOP CHARGER?!", yelled Yuri from the living room.

His wife Carmine walked in with a baby boy in her arms.

"Don't shout. You'll startle Caileen. And it should be by the desk", she replied.

"I already checked there", he said.

"Then I don't know where it could be", said Carmine.

Yuri sighed. He decided to give up searching for the charger. He walked over to Carmine and Caileen and smiled. He kissed her and he patted Caileen's head.

"He's not a dog dear", said Carmine.

Yuri chuckled and walked away. On his way to the couches passed the shelf. The shelf held all of the Medals he had won back in his figure skating days.

8:16pm

The family had eaten and were currently getting ready for bed. Carmine laid Caileen down in his crib and kissed his forehead. She walked out his room and softly closed the door.

She walked across the hall to her room. She walked in to find Yuri reading. Carmine smiled at how cute he looked with his reading glasses on. She crawled into bed next to him and snuggled up to him. Yuri set his book down and wrapped his arms around her.

"In a few hours it'll be his first birthday", she said.

"Can't wait for midnight babe. I don't think I'll be able to sleep", said Yuri smiling.

"You have to. We're gonna need all of our energy for tomorrow", replied Carmine.

"I'm going to need some motivation then", he said looking at her.

Carmine smiled then crawled on top of him. She dipped down and captured his lips with hers. After a few seconds she pulled away.

"Let's get busy then", said Yuri.

He rolled them over and Carmine laughed.

11:39pm

The house was quiet as the family of three slept peacefully. From somewhere downstairs a crash emitted through the household. Yuri jerked awake at the sound since he was a light sleeper.

He slowly pulled himself from Carmine and reached under the bed. He pulled out a pistol from underneath the bed. It was already fully loaded. He took off the safety and proceeded to walk out of his room. He slowly crept through the halls. He walked into Caileen's room. Caileen was sleeping peacefully.

Yuri checked the closet and everywhere else. He made sure the windows were locked and he walked out of the room. He closed the door behind him and checked the rest of the upstairs. He heard another sound from downstairs and proceeded to walk down the stairs.

The sound had came from the kitchen. Yuri gulped and walked into the Kitchen. He walked in and saw a black figure. Yuri raised the gun and aimed.

"Stop where you are or I'll shoot", he said.

The figure turned to face Yuri. He gasped at what he saw. The figure turned out to me a woman. She looked close to his age but the thing that bothered him was that she had no face. Like, she had skin and that was it. She had no eyes, mouth, nose or anything.

"Who the hell are you?", he said Angrily.

"You may call me Necra. I only tell you this for you are to die today", she replied.

Upstairs Carmine stirred awake. She felt around for Yuri but she didn't feel him. She jumped up and looked around the room for him. She walked into the hall and heard noises from downstairs. She is walked down the stairs and walked to the source of the sounds. She walked in and gasped.

She walked in to find Yuri on his knees while a woman stood over him with her hands on her face.

Yuri turned to look at Carmine. His face was turning black and was starting to peel.

"Run", he gasped.

Those were the last words he spoke before he died. Carmine turned and ran back up the stairs. She locked herself in Caileen's room and ran to his crib. She took him in her arms and the door flew off its hinges. It landed a few feet away from them. By then Caileen had started crying.

Carmine ran into a corner and turned to face it. She held Caileen tightly as she cried. She would do anything to protect her baby. She didn't hear anything and she turned around. She sighed and turned to face the corner again but she was met with the woman. Her screams echoed throughout the house.

The house was silent as the woman walked into the street. In her arms was a silent baby Caileen. And In the blink of an eye they vanished.
