Lucy X Reader | Goodnight
Lucy X Reader
2nd POV
[Goodnight]
Lucy and I walked back to our house after an eventful day at the guild hall.
"I'm so tired, I can fall asleep right here..." She whined.
"You can walk a little farther until we get home." I giggled, "Come on, we aren't that far." I grabbed her hand and ran towards the house.
"W-Wait I'm gonna trip!!!" She yelled out.
_-Time Skip-_
"We made it home!" I cheered.
"My legs are killing me..." Lucy cried out. She rubbed her eye with her hand.
"Come, let's go to bed then." I once again took her hand and lead her to the bedroom we shared. "Lay down, I'm gonna make sure everything's locked and turned off." Lucy nodded and climbed into bed.
I double checked the locks on the door and turned off the lights in each room. I opened the door quietly trying not to wake Lucy if she was already asleep. To my surprise, she was still awake. She was sitting up in bed facing the window.
"What's wrong?" I entered the room, closing the door behind me. I sat behind her and gently laid a hand on her shoulder.
"...I..Just feel like time has changed so much..." She softly whispered. "I know I should be over it by now...I mean everyone else is...But I'm still overwhelmed by how much time has gone by. After we won the games, I just felt like I was the only one stuck in the past. Everyone is having fun and has already adapted to the seven year change..." Lucy sniffled.
"Lucy..."
"And not to mention you... I left you for seven years, we haven't talked about it properly. Weren't you lonely? Didn't you hate thinking I was somewhere out there or I could just be-"
"Seven years of waiting can't compare to how long I want to be with you. I only thought of when I would get to see your face, Lucy, you need to let it go. You'll never move forward if you cling onto the past. I know it's been a drastic change, but everyone's still the same! The guild still has that burning passion to be the best guild out there and be a big happy family. Don't cry anymore, live in the moment." I softly spoke to her. She used her opposite hand to reach up and touch my hand that was resting on her shoulder.
"Thanks, (Name)." She let out a short laugh through her tears.
"Let's go to sleep now, Lucy. I'll treat you out tomorrow." I laid my head down on the pillow and patted her pillow. She slowly laid her head down and stared into my eyes.
"My legs are still killing me." I laughed,
"Alright alright, I'll make sure Wendy makes you feel better tomorrow before out date." I smiled.
"Mm, goodnight..."
