Cold air and ice surrounded Gray. "He looks mad!" Wendy said. "Please let this be a bad dream!" Happy said. "Natsu, Wendy, get behind me!" You said. Natsu and Wendy backed up. "He's not joking around." You said. "Why are you doing this, Gray? Is it 'cause you have a tummy ache?" Happy asked. "Don't be such an idiot!" Carla snapped. "Please don't fight!" Wendy said. "Yeah, Gray, what the hell are you doing?!" Natsu asked. "Shut up, Natsu." Gray said. "Ice make: Lance!" Gray sent lances made of ice toward you. You jump and quickly dodged. Wendy fell down. "He attacked her using his full strength." Wendy said. "Stay close to me, understand?" Carla asked. Daphne laughed. "My, my. You just don't get it do you? Start fighting back or you'll end up skewed or a popsicle." Daphne said. "Now, Gray Fullbuster, go get me a dragon slayer!" Daphne said. "You'll get one soon enough." "This isn't like you at all, Gray. Just tell me what's going on." You said. "Isn't it obvious by now? What I wanna know is why you're standing there doing nothing about it!" Gray sent more lances of ice toward you. You quickly dodged again. "Do you think this Gray is a fake?" Wendy asked. "I suppose it's possible. We have seen magic like that before. But I'm not sure-" Carla said. "No, Wendy's right. This one's definitely different from the Gray we know and love." Happy said. "Oh yeah? How's that?" Natsu asked. "Well, for starters-" Gray suddenly took off his shirt and jacket. "If you keep dodging it will get boring! C'MON!" Gray said. "He took his clothes off! This guy is the real Gray after all!" Happy said. "Are you kidding?" Wendy and Carla asked in unison.

"All right, Gray. If it's a real fight you want, you can have it." You said. "It was about time! I was starting to get bored!" Gray said. "Ice make: Battle Axe!" Gray said. "Ice Dragon: Roar!" You shout your ice collided with his. Gray charged forward and punched you in the face. You then kicked him. "Yes, yes. That's how you do it. There's nothing quite like dinner and a good show. As you can see there's no cheap imitation punching you. That's the genuine Gray." Daphne said. You jump blocked his punches. "I promise I'm not controlling his mind or anything cliche like that. He's beating your face in simply because he wants to." Daphne said. "I don't need you to tell me that. I've felt that annoying punch before. No fake Gray could ever hope to pull it off." You smirked. "Ya know I had a feeling you were letting me hit you so you could test me or something stupid like that." Gray said. Gray gasped as you head butt him. He flew backwards. "Earth Dragon: Talon!" You quickly kicked him in the face. Gray quickly crashed into the wall. "You can win this!" Happy said. "Those two are such barbarians." Carla said. You and Gray stood in a hallway across from each other. "It's time for some answers. I want to know what you think you're doing here. At the very least you owe me that much." You said. "A city without sound." Gray mumbled. "Huh?" You asked. "Whatever, I doubt you'd understand it anyway. Get ready to take your last breath." Gray sent ice lances toward you, but you quickly dodged again. You sent a lightning dragon roar toward him, but he quickly jumped out of the way. "The two of them have really stepped up their game lately." Happy said. "I'll say." Natsu said. "This is not the time for slack jawed gawking!" Carla said.

"Aye." Happy said. "I don't get why this is happening." Wendy said. "Why would Gray betray his friends like this?" Wendy asked. "Not that it's any of your business, but that handsome slab of ice offered to help me on a special project." Daphne said. "What do you mean?" Wendy asked. "I first arrived in Magnolia about 10 days ago to continue my research. I was doing some digging into (Y/n) (L/n)'s background, when I-" Daphne swallowed her food. "When I ran into Gray Fullbuster. He showed interest in my project and was very willing to lend his hand towards completing it. So he lured the wizard saint here for me." Daphne said. "She's quite the catch, wouldn't you agree?" Daphne asked. "Cold blooded betrayal, plain and simple." Carla said. "No way. I just can't believe that." Wendy said. "Me neither. She has to be lying." Natsu said. "I knew there was something going on between you two. You and Gray... are getting all lovey dovey!" Happy teased as he flew toward Daphne. "Maybe." Daphne said. "How scandalous! When Juvia finds out about this she's gonna be more vicious than all of The Oración Seis combined!" Happy said. "Could you be any more obnoxious?! Shut up, get over here and I don't want to here another peep!" Carla snapped. Happy flew back to Wendy and Carla. "I'm sorry, Carla. Please forgive me." He said. "Okay, so you and Gray are partners now, but what is this city without sound, and what's your interest in (Y/n)? I don't understa-" Wendy asked. Daphne pulled out more food. "Yes, yes. You're questions can wait. For now, how about sampling one of Metamo-Chan's flavors?" Daphne asked. "Who could possibly eat that tripe at a time like this?!" Carla asked.

"Oh yeah. Give me one of the fishy flavored kind." Happy flew over to Daphne. Happy took one and bit into it. "Do you have a single shred of self control?!" Carla asked. Happy's face suddenly turned red. "Got a kick, don't it?" Daphne asked. "Do you want any of them?" Daphne asked Wendy. "Come on, Gray. I'm all fired up now. Been a while since my last fight." You smirked. "If you're not gonna tell me what's happening, I guess I'll have to beat it out of you." You said. You charged towards him. Gray smirked. "You won't get past my Ice make Shield!" Gray created a shield of ice. "Wind Dragon: Talon!" You quickly broke his shield and kicked him. Gray jumped down a small flight of stairs. "Ice make: floor!" You gasp, then quickly jump down the stairs, dodging the ice. Gray created a hammer out of ice, which you also dodged. Gray then created a cannon out of ice, and shot a ball of ice toward you. "Light Dragon: Wing Attack!" "Don't hurt each other!" Wendy said. "This fight could keep dragging on forever." Natsu said. "Don't be so dramatic. At the rate they're going they'll wear themselves out." Carla said. "You can do it, (Y/n)!" Happy said. You ran toward Gray. "Dark Dragon: Flame Elbow!" You hit Gray with one of your elbows that was covered in darkness. You shoved him into a swimming pool. "It's a pool." Wendy said. "Gray just got the field advantage." Carla said. "Don't forget, (Y/n) has water magic too." Natsu said. Gray stood up. "You're going down, now. Good luck dodging this. Ice make: Prison!" Gray trapped you in a big cage of ice. Gray smirked, then gasped as you quickly burnt the ice cage. Gray quickly jumped behind you. "Ice make: Lance!" This time he hit you and sent you flying through a wall. "I think we both knew deep down this was gonna happen someday." Gray said. "If that's how you really feel..." you said. Gray held a big weapon out of ice in his hands. "Time to say goodbye." He said. "I couldn't agree more. Goodbye!" You cracked the floor with flames, and Gray crashed. "(Y/n)!" Wendy shouted. "Let's hurry." Carla said. "Okay." Wendy said. "(Y/n)! Are you okay?!" Natsu asked as he, Wendy, Carla and Happy ran over. "I know you won't agree, but the only way we can stop them is with my Sky Dragon magic." Wendy said. "No, child. I know you want to help, but using your magic in these tight quarters could seriously injure someone." Carla said. "Fine. I'm flying back to town for reinforcements. Be back!" Happy said. He opened the window and flew forward. "Wait. Don't touch the-" Happy crashed into the invisible wall and crashed back inside. "Your stupidity is painful to witness." Carla said.

Time Skip

"My, my. Those two like to play rough, don't they?" Daphne asked. At this point, Gray was panting, but you still had lots of strength left. Gray smiled. "Gotta say, of all the times we've fought, this one's the best by far." He said. You smiled slightly. "Yeah, you've gotten quite strong over the years, I will say this, I'm impressed." You said. "Come on, (Y/n), give him one right in the face!" Natsu said. "Yes, yes. Splendid. Everything's gone according to plan. All right, Gray Fullbuster, time to finish this little game." Daphne said. Gray generated more ice. "It'll be my pleasure." He said. Gray created swords out of ice. You charge toward him with fire surrounding you. "(Y/n)!" Gray hit you, but his eyes widened when his swords broke. You then head butt him into a wall. Natsu smirked. "Oh yeah! She won!" He said. "She certainly lives up to her reputation." Carla said. "Whoa." Wendy said. Daphne chuckled. "Impressive, Dragon girl." She said. Gray was lying on the floor, he looked to be unconscious. "Well, guess that's settled." You said. You gasped as you saw his injured state. "Oh no, Gray!" You quickly ran over to him. "I didn't overdo it did I?" You asked with concern. "Maybe I could heal him or something..." you said. Suddenly your fingers froze. You gasped. "Idiot." Gray said. "You never learn, will you?" He asked. Daphne walked behind you. "Yes, yes yes. I'll take it from here. "Hidden Darkness!" You scream as you quickly fell through a circle in the floor. Gray smirked as he stood next to Daphne. "Yes, yes. You've performed brilliantly. Seems you're worthy of becoming my partner." She said. "Appreciate it. Took a bit more work than I expected." Gray said. Natsu, Wendy, Happy and Carla came over. "(Y/n)!" Natsu said. "What do we do?" Wendy asked. Carla flew toward Gray. "You tricked us. It was never your intention to harm her, you were luring her into this setup." Carla said.

"Yup." Gray said. "She's strong but I also use my brains." Gray said. "You are such a liar!" Happy said. "Yeah! You just won because you cheated!" Natsu said. Gray grabbed Natsu and held him above the circle. "You can join her if you want, Pyro." Gray said. "Yes, yes. Quit fooling around, you imbecile. It took this much effort just to get the important part of my experiment in place." Daphne said. Gray sweat dropped. "I guess I'm not the important part?" Natsu asked. "So trapping (Y/n) was your goal from the start?" Wendy asked. "Yes. My research is finally complete. Now the fun begins." Daphne said. Meanwhile, you look around the dark place. "Natsu, can you hear me? Wendy, you there?! Hello?!" You asked. Suddenly you screamed in pain as lightning shocked you. "(Y/n)!" Wendy said. Suddenly there was a big crash. "What's that?" Natsu asked. "The sound of my little surprise." Daphne said. Daphne chuckled. Suddenly a giant fake dragon appeared in front of Lucy and Erza. "Yes, yes. It's alive! Concealment magic, dispersed." Daphne said. "Prepare to activate lacrima core!" She shouted. "Unlocking all joint restricters. Neurotransmitter lacrima connection is a go." Daphne said. Lucy and Erza just looked at the fake dragon dumbfounded. Carla and Happy quickly flew Wendy off as Natsu jumped. "Anything living that's not (L/n), get away from my precious baby!" Daphne said. "Yes, yes. Firing up this bad boy with a (Y/n) heart. Let's get this party started!" You screamed in pain as Daphne played the piano on her dragon. Part of the dragon began to light up. "Now, my Dragonoid, activate!" Daphne said.  Suddenly the eyes opened. "Interesting name choice." Erza said. "I don't think we wanna know what (Y/n) heart really means." Lucy said. You screamed in more pain as you kept getting electrocuted. "(Y/N)!" Lucy shouted. The dragon let out a loud roar. "So loud!" Lucy said. "Yes, yes. Like a newborn, it cries! Such majesty! The world's first artificially constructed dragon! The unstoppable Dragonoid!" Daphne said. Lucy gasped. "And now (Y/n)'s magic power is its life blood!" Daphne said. "It's using her magic power?" Erza asked. Wendy and Natsu quickly ran over to Lucy and Erza. "Lucy, Erza!" Natsu said. "Natsu!" Lucy said. "You're okay!" Wendy said. Erza and Lucy smiled at them. "I'm glad you two are safe." Erza said. "We were so worried." Lucy said. "We need to do something, fast!" Natsu said. "First you need to tell us what's going on." Erza said. "We don't have time for that!" Natsu said. "Where's (Y/n)?" Lucy asked. "She's inside that big dragon! This crazed lady named Daphne set up a trap for her! And Gray's the one who lured her in!" Natsu said. "What did you say?!" Lucy and Erza asked in shock. "What's worse is he's not being manipulated. It's all on purpose. Gray's doing all of this of his own free will." Wendy added. Lucy looked and saw Gray on top of the fake dragon. "Up there!" She said. Gray was watching from the top of the dragon.
