"You don't know when to give up. I'll show you." She said. You held out one of your gate keys. "Open! Gate of the Golden bull! Taurus!" You said. The cow spirit appeared. "Looks like you need some help protecting a babe, Miss (Y/n)!" Taurus said. "Have I told you lately that you have a really nice body?" He asked. "Ugh! I'd give you an earful but we don't have time for that right now! Just hurry up and beat her up, okay?!" You snapped as you pointed at Mary. "You can udderly count on me." Taurus said. "You're totes nuts if you think a cow can beat me!" Mary said. Taurus smirked and attacked her. "She's not controlling him is she?" Michelle asked. "I knew it. Her magic power can only control humans." You said. "She's right. It has no effect on celestial spirits." Lucy said. Mary kept dodging Taurus's axe. Suddenly Taurus stopped. "What's wrong, Taurus? Why'd you stop?" You asked. "Oh wow. "I know that you really want me to fight her but she's got a nice body too!" Taurus said with hearts in his eyes. "Who cares?! What's that got to do with anything?!" You asked. "I can't attack her because I just wanna smooch her!" Taurus said. "Go away!" You said as you called him back. Lucy sweat dropped. "Is it just me, or do all of your celestial spirits have incredibly unique personalities?" Michelle asked. "No kidding. That's an extremely polite way of putting it. But at least they're consistent." Lucy said. "Scorpio, you're up!" You said as you took out another gate key. Scorpio then appeared. "Wicked! You just leave this to me, (Y/n). Aw yeah!" He said. Michelle sweat dropped. "Yup. Definitely unique." She said.

Time Skip

"Hurry, Scorpio! Shoot her again!" You said. "You got it! I'll hit her this time!" He said. "Sand Spear!" He shout sand toward her and she quickly dodged and took her staff out. "Don't try it." Lucy said. Suddenly Lucy quickly jumped out of the way. But you didn't see the attack soon enough and the sand attack hit you. You screamed as you were flung into the air. "(Y/n)!" Lucy said. "Aw man, that is totally my bad!" Scorpio said. Mary smirked. "I totes found ya!" She said. She then took control of Lucy. "Geez. That took longer than I thought it would. I guess if we had known what she actually looked like, it would have been totes easy." Mary said. "Wake up, (Y/n)! I need help!" Lucy said. But you were unconscious. "Got ya now. What are you waiting for? Seriously, like, get over here!" Mary said. Lucy began walking toward Mary but tried her best to fight it. "There you go. Keep moving." Mary said. Lucy looked back at you and Michelle on the ground. She then used her stick to make Lucy give her the clock piece. "Don't tell me this is what you're after." She said. "Yup. That's all. Hand it over and I won't hurt ya." Mary said. "Please stop this!" Lucy said. "It's too late, now. "This belongs to my friend, it was her father's memento and he left it for her! There's no way I'll ever let you have it!" Lucy said. "That just makes it more fun for me. I'm totes into stealing stuff that's important to others! I love it!" Mary said. "No don't! Please stop!" Lucy said. Lucy turned to you. "(Y/n), you've gotta wake up!" Lucy gasped as she gave it to Mary. "Sweet! This is so awesome!" Mary said. "The Archbishop's gonna freak." Mary said. Mary then flung a tiny green orb into the air which began to light up.

"What? Are you serious? The Legion Platoon?" Wakaba asked. "So you're saying we were attacked by followers of Zentopia?" Cana asked. Gildarts nodded. "Yeah. There's no doubt about it." He said. "But why would the largest organized church in Fiore do something like that?" Macao asked. "I'm not entirely sure why. But the man I fought mentioned something about a holy war." Gildarts said. Natsu slammed his hands down on the table. "All that matters is they stole from (Y/n)! I swear, we are gonna get back what rightfully belongs to you." Natsu said. You nodded. Lucy frowned. "I'm sorry, (Y/n). It's my fault." She said. "It's not your fault they were able to take it. That creepy girl had you under her controlling spell." Happy said. "I'm so sorry. I wish I could have done something to help you two." Michelle said. "You shouldn't be too hard on yourself, Michelle. It's all on me. Because I'm too weak." Lucy said. "Lucy, don't you dare say that. You are not weak. You are a strong celestial wizard. One of the strongest ones I've ever seen. Why else do you think you're a part of Fairy Tail?" You asked. Lucy gasped and looked at you, then smiled. "Thanks, (Y/n)." She said. "A series of church attacks just before the Zentopia Founding Festival. A mysterious clock hand inscribed with an ominous phrase. Which also sought by The Legion Platoon. And now there's talk of a holy war." Makarov said. "Well I tell ya this much, those guys made a big mistake when they chose to mess with a member of Fairy Tail. This thing is just getting started. That's for sure." Natsu said.

"Was anybody able to follow em and figure out where they were going?" Gray asked. "Well, according to Warren, every single search team lost sight of them. But I agree with Natsu. It's not over. Not by far." Erza said. Natsu put his fist into his other hand. "Oh yeah! So let's hunt em down and teach em a lesson that they're never gonna forget! Who's with me?!" Natsu said. "We need to try to make sense of what we're facing. The Legion Platoon attacks us to steal the clock hand, and during the battle they mention a holy war. Why would they need that item? Does it play a role in this impending war? And to what is that strange inscription referring?" You asked. "This clock is real. It exists somewhere out there. But I just can't imagine what its significance could be." Lucy said. "Do you think the chaos the inscription talks about and this holy war are one and the same?" You asked. "Uh..." Natsu  said. "I don't think your brain can handle this. It looks like you're in pain." Happy said. "Shut up, Happy." Natsu said. "Chaos also means no more rules." Gray said. "Now this guy is making sense." Natsu said as he pointed at Gray.  "Slow down. The world needs rules to work like it's supposed to. So we can't just start going nuts." Happy said. "Rules like taking someone's stuff makes you a thief?" Cana asked. "Or do unto others as you would have them unto you?" Michelle asked. "Rules were created in order to protect people's freedoms and safety. Without them, there'd be strife and lawlessness." Makarov said. "Do they think if they win the war they can change the rules?" Macao asked. "I don't want those jerks deciding what's right or wrong." Wakaba said. "They definitely have some warped ideas on justice, and stealing from (Y/n) doesn't strike me as holy." Gildarts said. "We need some more clues." Lucy said. "I had a thought. If they wanted the hand maybe they're looking for other parts of the clock as well." You said. "If we can determine what they're goal is, then perhaps we can figure out the significance of (Y/n)'s keepsake." Erza said. "I say we find out where they went, and then we can just ask them ourselves." Gray said. Gray then put his right arm on Natsu's shoulder. "Ya know? I'd like to try to make em talk." Gray said. "Sounds like fun to me. I'm in." Natsu said as he and Gray fist bumped each other. "I don't even know where we should start looking." Lucy said. "I'll see what my fortunetelling brings up. It's bound to give us a few ideas." Cana said. "That's right. Just leave it to my big baby girl!" Gildarts said. "You're embarrassing me!" Cana said.

Time Skip

"Whoa. This place looks kinda familiar." Natsu said. "It's where (Y/n) grew up." Erza said. "Does the family still own it?" Gray asked. "Well, it looks like someone's been taking really good care of it." Happy said. "I suppose they'd want to keep it clean and well maintained until a buyer can be found." Carla said. "Apparently, that hasn't been easy. People have checked it out, but nobody's made an offer to but it." Lucy said. "Because nobody can afford it." Gray said. "Such good memories. Your house always reminded me of a beautiful palace out of a storybook. I had so much fun here!" Michelle said. "Wait, you've been here before?" You asked. Michelle began to sob. "We- we used to play together all the time!" She said. "Uh, that's right! Of course we did!" You said. Michelle turned to you. "You remember all of the pretty clothes you made for me?" She asked. You sweat dropped nervously. "Yeah sure, I remember." You said. "You made clothes?" Wendy asked. "I never imagined you were the handy type." Carla said. "I bet you two must have been adorable." Erza said. "She used to make the cutest outfits out of paper and flowers." Michelle said. "Huh?!" You asked. Gray face palmed. "Oh wow." He said. "How would you be able to make clothes outta paper and flowers?" Natsu asked. "Well, uh..." Gray said. Natsu and Gray suddenly imagined you and Michelle with outfits made out of paper and flowers, but in a weird way. Lucy kicked them both into the air. "Don't be creepy!" She said. "Now, do you think you can finally get serious? Is that too much to ask?" Erza asked. "No ma'am!" Gray, Natsu and Happy said. "Okay. Where do you think we should get started?" Wendy asked. "Yes, and what type of clothes should we be looking for?" Carla asked. "The first order of business is splitting into teams of two. Each time will take a different area and scour every room from top to bottom. We're looking for old clocks. Anything related to clocks. If something reminds you of the inscription, take note of it. Any literature written in ancient Potamelian. Anything out of the ordinary. Clues may present themselves in any form, so keep an open mind." Erza said. You, Lucy and Michelle went upstairs in the attic. "Oh my. There's certainly a lot of furniture up here." Michelle said. "Yeah. There's a lot of stuff in general." Lucy said. "Some of it priceless, and I'm sure some of it's completely worthless." You said. You turned around and took a curtain of a painted picture of you and your parents. "When was this painted?" Lucy asked. "I remember posing for this. It wasn't long before mom passed away." You said. "I had a pretty hard time sitting still for this painting. All I wanted to do was play. It was really hard on me when I lost her." You said. Unfortunately, I took it out on everyone around me. I think I was a little terror. I probably just made the whole thing harder for them." You said. "It's okay." Lucy said softly. "Someday I'm gonna make enough money to buy this place. I'll put everything back how it used to be, or as close as I can." You said. "Really? Do you mean it?" Michelle asked. "Yeah." You said. Michelle gasped happily. "Is something wrong?" Lucy asked. "Oh, no. It's a wonderful idea. That would make Uncle (L/n) very happy." Michelle said. "You just gave me another idea!" You said.

"Wow, this is amazing!" Michelle said. "This was dad's library. He's actually the reason I grew up to be such a bookworm myself." You said. "There's so many!" Michelle said. "And I'm willing to bet there's a book here that'll give us a clue." Lucy said. You nodded in agreement. You, Lucy and Michelle began to search the library. "Oh, man! Looking through all these is gonna take forever!" You said. "Hmm? To my daughter? What about this one?" Michelle asked as she showed you the book. "It just seems, kind of special." She said. Lucy and Michelle flipped through the pages. "All of the pages are completely blink. The book is called To My Daughter." Lucy said. "But there's nothing inside." You said. "You think maybe, there's been some kind of spell cast on it? And I wonder something else." Michelle said. Lucy called out her clock spirit. "Is he asleep?" Michelle asked. "No. He's doing a search." You said. Lucy nodded. "If anyone can figure this out, it's Grandpa Crux!" She said. Crux suddenly let out a loud scream, which scared Michelle. "Any luck?" You asked. "What we have here is nothing more than a stack of incredibly old paper. There are no spells, invisible inks, or watermarks to be found inside. And it would appear to be the case that your late father himself bound the book by hand ." Crux said. "I see. Is there anything else worth mentioning?" Lucy asked. "I do have a suggestion for you. It might serve you well to consider approaching this book as a riddle of some sort. Think of the title To My Daughter. Perhaps it could be an anagram." Crux said. "Yeah, you're right." You said. "So, we should rearrange the letters?" Michelle asked.

Time Skip

Natsu whined. "How are we supposed to know what in the heck to look for, huh?" Natsu asked. "Let's look for some food." Happy said. Natsu suddenly stepped on a piece of paper. "Oh. Are you guys just playing a game?" Natsu asked. "No, we're not." Wendy said. "Please be quiet." Erza said. "We're trying to concentrate." Gray said. "Is it some kind of puzzle?" Happy asked. "We're figuring out anagrams." Michelle said. "Yeah, of course. I totally knew that." Natsu said. "It's basically just a word puzzle." You said. "Sounds like more fun than what I was doing. Can I try?" Natsu asked. Natsu then let out a big sneeze that blew over all of the papers. "You just ruined our train of thought!" Carla said. "And we were all working so hard on it." Wendy said. "Whoops, my bad." Natsu said. Erza suddenly hit Natsu with her sword. Natsu and Happy screamed. "I was on the verge of a huge breakthrough!" She said.  "Erza looks pretty serious, doesn't she?" Wendy asked. "Yeah, no kidding. Remind me never to break her concentration." Gray said. "Well I suppose that we should start collecting the letters again." Carla said. "Wait, do you see that?" She asked. Crux screamed again. "The letters before you spell the word Myth." He said. "Yeah." You said. "Hmph. That could be important." Crux said. "I think he might be onto something." Gray said. "So what can we spell with the other letters?" Erza asked. "Duo. Great. Myth." You read. "Oh I know! Check it out! There is a pair of books known as The Two Great Myths, both were written by Will Neville, one is called "Life Of The Clockwork" and it also just happens to be where the strange inscription came from!" Lucy said.
"You have that book in our apartment, don't you?" You asked Lucy. "Yup. Talk about a coincidence." She said. "And the other book should be right here." You said as you took out a paper book. "Tadah! Key Of The Starry Heavens." You said. "Isn't that just a picture book?" Natsu asked. "It's not just a picture book, it's an amazing work of art." Lucy said. "Well, whatever it is, I bet ya the word 'key' is pretty important." Gray said. "Hmm. It seems like the perfect place to begin looking for a clue." Erza said. Carla gasped at the book. "You guys think it could be another anagram?" You asked. "No, probably not. But maybe if we look at it differently, we'll figure something out." Lucy said. Suddenly the little girl on the book turned and looked at Carla and she gasped. "What's the matter?" Wendy asked. "I don't know if there will be anything to do with the clock hand or not, but maybe my dad left some kind of messed for me to find inside this book." You said. "Uh, is there something you'd like to share with the group, Happy?" You asked as you saw the book he was holding. "This is one of my very favorite stories! Some say "The Tortoise And The Hare" is an is an amazing work of art as well!" Happy said. "Would you be so kind as to hand over the book?" A different voice asked. "I'm not giving this to some random stranger!" Happy said. A green light appeared on the door and it broke. "I don't find your joke very amusing. Sorry." Samuel said. "What's going on?" Natsu asked. "The door handle just blew up." Gray said. "What a rudimentary understanding. What happened was the handle expanded to twice its size. Which in turn, broke down the door." Samuel said. "Whoa. That's crazy." Happy said. "I don't believe it." Carla said. "He's an exceed! But he doesn't look like anyone I remember seeing in Extalia." Happy said. "He wasn't there. He must have been hatched from one of the eggs that were sent to Earth Land all those years ago! Just like us!" Carla said. "Tell us who you are!" Natsu said. "The brains of The Legion Platoon. The name's Samuel." Samuel said. Gray got ready to fight. "So you clowns came snooping around for us after all." He said. "Give back what you stole from us!" Natsu said. "I'll pass." Samuel said. "Say what?!" Natsu asked. Samuel's wings came out. "I consider this an amazing feat. Really quite spectacularly played. I mean I was certain you'd do exactly as I predicted by coming here and finding a clue, so of course you found one. I amaze myself." Samuel said. Gray generated ice on his hands. "Can I turn him into a cat-sicle?" Gray asked. "Only if I can barbecue him as soon as you're done." Natsu said. "You ready?" Wendy asked. "I am." Erza said. "Then let's go. Ice make: Lance!" Gray sent lances of ice toward the cat. "You'll get nothing more from us!" Erza said as she sent lightning toward him. "Fire Dragon: Roar!" Natsu sent a tornado of fire toward him. "Water dragon: Typhoon!" You said. You sent a pillar of spiraling water at him. Suddenly someone blocked all of your attacks and broke the walls.

"What just happened? Some guy came outta nowhere and deflected our attacks!" Gray said. "Some guy? I'm the spearhead of The Legion Platoon. My name is Dan Straight, so check me out!" Dan said. "Another personality disorder?" Happy asked. "You guys saw what I did with my shield, right? It's called Ricoochet, get it? This baby takes any attack you can throw at it and sends it right back at ya." Dan said. "No. That's a powerful shield." Erza said. "We gotta be careful about what we hit it with." Wendy said. "We don't wanna turn (Y/n)'s childhood home into a burned up pile of rubble." Gray said. "Why do all you guys gotta be such pains in the butt?!" Natsu asked. "He'll attack." Samuel said. "Come at me, it'll be the same as before." Dan said. "Not if I melt that thing first!" Natsu said as he used his Fire Dragon wing attack. The attack went right back at all of you. Everyone screamed. "Can we please take this outside?!" Lucy asked. "That girl. She's the one who has the book we need." Samuel said as he pointed at you. "(Y/n)!" Wendy said. "I'll lead him outside." You said. "But it could be too dangerous out there!" Michelle said. You held the book up. "Is that what you're after? Come and get it! I double dare ya!" You said. You began running away. "Ka pow!" Dan suddenly threw a weapon toward you. You quickly jumped back and he appeared behind you.  "Such beauty! Ka pow! Such incredible beauty! It's as if love's arrow's shot me straight through the heart! But it just keeps getting stronger and stronger!" Dan said. Everyone sweat dropped at him awkwardly. "It's almost too much for me to handle! But I can't get enough! And what do they call this lovely ness?" Dan asked shaking your hand. "Uh, (Y/n)." You said. "(Y/n)! I just can't take it! "(Y/n). Oh. Stunning perfection has a name. "Mind if I call you (N/n)?" Dan asked. "I don't know." You said. Samuel sweat dropped. "I feared this." He said. Dan begin to spin. "That voice. Those eyes. Those lips. That hair. That chest. That waist. Those legs. The perfect Fibonacci sequence in human form! Love on two legs! Beauty personified! L O V E spells love!" Dan said. "I just got super confused." You said. "True love." Dan said. "(Y/n)!" Erza said as she attacked him. "Stay back! No one comes between me and my love!" Dan said. Erza jumped in front of Dan and switched armor. "You three make a break for it. They must not get their hands on that book." Erza said. Lucy nodded. "Right." She said. "As for the rest of you, cover the girls while they escape." Erza said. "Uh, I just blanked out." Wendy said. "We got too overwhelmed by that craziness." Gray said. "Well, your ego seems to be extremely healthy." Samuel said. "Let me beat up this jerk!" Natsu said. "You're job here is to keep (Y/n) safe, so get moving." Erza said. "Let's go!" Lucy said. "Right." You said. You, Lucy and Michelle make a run for it. "I wasn't finished talking to you!" Dan said. Gray and Natsu both attacked him. "Don't blow up the house!" Lucy said.

Time Skip

"What was that? Gray asked as all of you heard a loud crash. "I hope Erza's okay." Wendy said. "Me too." Natsu said. "Come on, we need to hurry!" Michelle said.  You nodded. Lucy gasped as the three of you saw Samuel standing in front of you. "When did you get there?" Lucy asked. "Just in time I'd say. Your moves are quite easy to calculate. I simply needed to factor how someone in your panicked states would maneuver through this floor plan." Samuel said. "Time for me to shut you up!" Natsu said as he charged at him. Dan suddenly appeared and sent him through a window. "Natsu!" You said. "No!" Wendy said. "That's it." Gray said, getting ready to fight. "How dare you hurt our friend!" Wendy said. They both screamed and ran away from the giant book that was about to crush them. Samuel nodded in approval. "Precisely as arranged." He said. "Happy! Did you see where Natsu went?" You asked as you, Lucy and Michelle caught up to him. Happy sweat dropped. "Yeah, I kinda just accidentally stepped on him." He said. "He's so tiny!" Lucy said. Samuel flew in front of you. "By now, even you should have figured out that escape is impossible." Samuel said. "What the heck have you done to Natsu?!" You asked. "Those gorgeous lips are asking the wrong person. My weapon is Habaki. A spear that can change your size." Dan said. "So kindly hand over the book and we can be done with this unpleasantness. Mary has such a heavy handed approach to these kinds of situations. I much prefer a more intellectual solution." Samuel said. "Screw you, pal!" Natsu said. "Happy! Grab the book and get out of here!" You said as you gave him the book. "Aye sir!" Happy said as he flew away. "Hey! You can't just fly away like that!" Dan said. "Go! Go!" Natsu said."How simple minded." Samuel said as he grabbed the book from Michelle. "This is the one we want." Samuel said. "Aw man!" Natsu said. "He didn't fall for it." Happy said. "How did he know?" Lucy asked. "I've considered every possible outcome, and I have made plans for each one of them. Which means I will forever be a countless number of steps ahead of you. Gray, Wendy and Erza jump out and attack Dan, who blocks them. "You can have the book back now. I've memorized every single page." Samuel said. "Wait!" Lucy said. Dan threw the three attacks everywhere. "Bye, bye, (N/n). Next time we get together, let's have it be just you and me!" Dan said as Samuel flew him away. "Tell me, have you been putting on weight again?" Samuel asked. "At least he left the book." Happy said. "After making absolute fools of us." Carla said. "I can't stand guys like that." Gray said. "They will not be getting away with this." Erza said. "Come back here and make me normal!" Natsu said. You looked back at the mansion. 'Dad, what exactly are you trying to tell me?' You asked.
