"What is this?" Erza demanded. Gray quickly jumped off and onto a rock. "If you've betrayed Fairy Tail, they'd better be a good reason for it!" Erza said. "I'm sorry. I don't have any reason." Gray said. "But, Gray..." Erza said. "What now?" Lucy asked. "Yes, yes, yes. After countless hours of blood, sweat and tears, I've produced this wonder of science, The Dragonoid!" Daphne said. "If you had any kind of manners, you'd at least congratulate me on a job well done." She said. "You're the one who's responsible for this madness? Release (Y/n) now or else!" Erza asked. "Sorry, but Dragon Girl stays right where she is. The Dragonoid is using her as a battery, after all. So I have no intention of letting her go." Daphne said. "This thing's gonna suck up every last drop of my power." You said.

"Hmm. You might as well say your goodbyes. (Y/n) (L/n) won't be around much longer." Daphne said. "Magic power's life to a wizard. We have to stop her before she drains her." Erza said. "You messed with the wrong guild, lady!" Lucy shouted. "What do we do? If this keeps up (Y/n)'s done for." Happy said. "I have to get out of here." You tried to use your elemental powers to escape, but only got electrocuted again. You screamed in pain. "Yes, yes. Good work, girl. Use that energy of yours for something worthwhile." Daphne said. "Things are going just as planned. My Dragonoid will soon be charged, and then I'll show the world what true power is." Daphne said. You continued to scream in pain. "If you want to try and stop us, be my guest. Then again, considering how pathetically weak you all are, I doubt you'll survive to see the Dragonoid's full glory." Gray said.

"How could you?!" Erza asked. "I seem to recall hearing about a deranged female wizard who was obsessed with dragons and even tried creating artificial ones. But I thought it was just a rumor." Carla said. "That sure sounds like her." Wendy said. "Oh now that's just insulting. I'm far from deranged. By this time tomorrow the academic world will speak my name with exalted praise and utter fear thanks to my glorious dragon." Daphne said. "Wait. If that copy cat's fully artificial, then it might explain those weird dragon eggs I found when I was a kid." Natsu said to himself. "Ha. The road's been long and filled with obstacles, but I overcame each one brilliantly. The first step was no small feat. I had to successfully incubate artificial dragon eggs, and have the young survive. Then I needed test subjects. Luckily, my hometown had plenty to spare.

But, like me, everyone there used hidden magic. So they all escaped before my dragons could reach them. Since I no longer had any test subjects, I couldn't collect any data and the experiment was ruined. I sealed them within their own spells, trapping them forever. The Dragonoids should have been able to sense the hidden townsfolk but they were defective. So I immediately disposed of them and started from scratch. "I guess that means... I came into town right behind her..." Natsu mumbled. "Then I turned my back on that miserable place. Eventually, the town became known as The City Without Sound." Daphne said. You gasped and your eyes widened. "So that's what Gray was talking about before..." you said to yourself. "After years of continuous research, I found the solution to my problem. In order for my Dragonoid to work properly I needed the power of a dragon slayer.

Yes, yes, yes. Now that you're here, (Y/n), I have a task for you. Surrender your power so that my Dragonoid can live! Do my bidding and burn baby, burn!" Daphne began to play the piano again. You screamed in pain again. "By all that is scared I swear that dreadful woman will feel my claws!" Carla said. "This chick is totally insane!" Lucy said. "Aye." Happy said. "Tell me about it." Natsu said. "Tell me Daphne, why'd you create this monster? Surely not just for show?" Erza asked. "My, my, my. You've got a kneel mind, Erza Scarlet. My ambition is to complete the ultimate Dragonoid. But this beauty is still just a prototype. And field testing it is a real blast! Testing! Testing!" Daphne said. The ground collapsed and Lucy, Wendy and Natsu screamed. "Hmm. Leg controls are lagging a bit. "Yes, yes yes. I'll definitely have to fix that for the next unit." Daphne said. "What a psycho! Is she trying to make us part of her experiment?" Lucy asked. "Give me a minute and I'll whip up nice fireball I can throw at her!" Natsu said. "We have to stop her at any cost. Understood?" Erza asked. "But what's gonna happen to (Y/n)? If we just start attacking that thing?" Wendy asked. "I don't know, child." Carla said. "Gray. Is this truly want you wanted?" Erza asked. Suddenly a magic vehicle showed up. "You've got some explaining to do!" Macao said. "And you better hope everyone at the guild likes your answers!" Wakaba said. "If you were a real man, you'd never double cross your friends!" Elfman said.

Gray's eyes widened as Elfman charged toward him. He the punched him hard in the stomach, causing him to go unconscious. "Sorry I had to do this, but Gramps wants you back at the guild hall." Elfman said. "Master sent you?" Natsu asked. "Yeah. When he got word of what Daphne was up to, he told us to come out here." Macao said. "He said he'll decide what to do with her oversized lizard. Once he gets to talk to Gray one on one." Wakaba said. Elfman jumped down with the unconscious Gray in his arms. "Erza! This is bad! I think big boy over there is about to-" suddenly the dragon's wings lit up and and lifted up. "Fly!" Lucy said. "No one said anything about it flying!" Happy said. "What did you think the wings were for?" Natsu asked. "Oh no. If it keeps going that way it'll hit Magnolia in no time!" Wendy said. "Curse you." Erza said. "Try to stop my Dragonoid and you'll just end up as another statistic in my research." Daphne said. "All right, listen, I need all of you to return to the guild and get ready for action. We have to protect Magnolia, no matter what." Erza said. "Okay. What are you gonna do?" Lucy asked. Erza quickly took out her sword. "I'm going dragon hunting. Now quit wasting time." She said. "Then happy hunting. Let's head back to the guild." Lucy said. "Yeah. You're right." Natsu nodded. "Aye, Aye, Sir!" Happy said. "I'm going. Thanks for the ride." Erza said. "Sure." Macao said. "We'll take care of Gray while you get (Y/n) back." Wakaba said. "Fight him like a real man." Elfman said. "You can count on me." Erza said.

Time Skip

"There's gotta be a way out of here." You said. You surrounded your body with multiple elements and attacked the inside of the dragon. "I see, I see, you're trying to overwhelm the system, by pumping the power output to 11. And while that's very clever, dragon girl, it won't be enough to escape me." Daphne said. "All I have to do is increase the input ratio and bam! Thanks for your charitable donation. "Okay That didn't work. This is gonna be harder than I thought." You said. Levy walked into the guild hall. "Mirajane! Elfman and the others are back but they got roughed up pretty bad!" She said. Mira gasped and ran out of the guild hall. "Elfman!" Mira cried. Cana pointed. "The other guys need immediate attention! Get them inside, quick!" She said. Mira sat beside Elfman. "Please tell me what I can do to help you." She said. "Mira, you have to save (Y/n). I owe it to her after everything she's done." Elfman said.

 "Bring her home." Elfman said. "It'll be okay. (Y/n) is as good as saved." Mira said. Elfman collapsed. "Elfman!" Mira said. Gray sat not far off.  Wendy suddenly ran over. "Don't worry. I'll heal him with my sky magic." She said. "Thank you, Wendy." Mira said. Gray looked down as he tried not to cry. Cana suddenly turned and glared at him. Cana shoved Gray roughly. "Wake up! You don't get to sleep through this. Why don't you admire your handiwork, you traitor?! You're pathetic!" Cana snapped. Juvia shoved her away. "Leave him alone! Don't you dare call him that. My beloved Gray would never turn his back on Fairy Tail. What happened to hearing both sides of the story before you start accusing someone? I have faith in him even if the rest of you don't. I always will." Gray put his hand on her shoulder. "That's enough. It's all right. You're supposed to take me to see Gramps, right? I'm ready unless you wanna sit around and talk some more." Gray said. "Fine. Start walking." Alzack said. "My trigger figure's itchy, so don't give me a reason to scratch it." Bisca said. "Are you okay?" Levy asked Juvia as Gray left with Alzack and Bisca. "Oh, Gray." She cried.

Time Skip

"Let me guess this straight. Master told you that destroying the Dragonoid should be our top priority? But what about saving (Y/n)?" Erza asked. "He said she's tough enough to survive this." Lucy said. "I see. (Y/n), we've been ordered by Master Makarov to destroy the Dragonoid by any means necessarily. But before that, I need to know what you want us to do. Answer me!" Erza said. "Sure. It's about time someone asked that." You said. Erza looked like she was going to cry. "(Y/n)." She said softly. "Now listen up. I'm only gonna say this once. Just forget about me. Destroy this thing, no matter what!" You said.
