Lucy's POV
I stand about ten feet away from my opponent, Natsu Dragneel. The king of lamias and lycanthropus. The royal blood, the royal hybrid. I land my fingers on my hip, where my belt of tricks were. On the side of my right knee was the wicked knife. It won't kill him, but it will hurt him. While it will kill anything threatening insight. I smile innocently before Erza comes stands between us.

-Erza: "Alright, listen carefully. These are the rules for the following battle. You will not kill each other, or hurt anyone around you. The duel is from the Dragneel house, until the Fullbuster house only." She says as she points to the house that is behind Natsu, and later to the one that is behind me which is the Fullbuster one. It was approximately twenty feet away in my eyes. "And you must not destroy the great patronum." She says as she points towards the sky.

A normal person would have no idea at all what she was talking about. But we are the opposite of that. She's speaking of the shield that protects us from harmful outsiders. "That is all. Good luck to the both of you." She says as she steps back into the crowd. We were in a circle, around countless students of the school. A pythonissam named Levy starts summoning a spell with her finger and a book in hand. Her iris becomes clear through her glasses, taking her soul to speak with our ancestors.

-Levy: "Unimus proelia Marte pugnamus, ut protegat et revelare non respexit. Minax viget moventur, relictis, in his periculo. Expecto patronum, gubernet, et protegat illos qui bene vivunt, et secundum tempus." She says before something blue is all around us. Keeping our actions from the crowd. "Knowing that you're both legacies, we have to be extra sure that you're not going to destroy us or anything. I am...um...I was called a very p-powerful pythonissam so hopefully you won't destroy my shield... Good luck!" She says as she sits down on the grass as everyone else.

-Natsu: "Pfft, you? A legacy?" He rolls his eyes and laughs. Ignoring him, I look up at the sky to find a number counting down. "5, 4, 3, " It continues, and when it does I realize Natsu in his fighting stance. Causing me to get into mine as well. "2, 1, BAZ!"

Third Person's POV
Natsu charges towards Lucy running with the speed of a lamia. Since she recognizes it, she grabs her cloak and gives it a twirl. She quickly disappears, leaving only her cloak visible. Seeing her trick, he starts concentrating on her smell. But by the time he caught on her scent, she was already behind him silently, giving him a powerful head down kick. The pain on his cheek sharpens intensely because of her special legborne powers. Him being a hybrid, his recovery was quick. Due to it, she knew she had to end it as soon as possible. Instead of giving him another kick, she throws a bottle of vervain in the air, jumps highly and gives it a kick to have great speed onto the hybrid.

On instinct, he turns and takes it into the mouth. Believing it was a bottle specifically for hybrids, he thought the creation of one was impossible. So he bites and crushes it in his mouth. Only to realize that it wasn't for hybrids, but for vampires. The sensation of burning was growing more and more on his lips and mouth. It had been years since Natsu had felt such pain of a venom. Due to the pain, he turns his eyes yellow and grows sharp terrifying claws along with fur and hair everywhere. His teeth were becoming bigger and bigger. When his lamia side is exposed, his lycanthropus takes over, protecting himself. As a red wolf completely, his tongue shakes off the burning sensation quickly.

All of this occurred while Lucy was falling and was about to jam her leg into his head, until he bites it, and throws her across the floor. Gaining cheers from the crowd.

-Lucy: "Ah!" She yells as she checks her pained leg. Which was perfectly fine on the outside at least. Natsu howls significantly with his anger and charges at her once again. Lucy on the other hand was holding fear in her insides. The outcome would have been disastrous if the cloak didn't remind her of something.

Repel, repel, repel

Goes on in her head. At the last second, Natsu had already brought his paws in the air to scratch her eyes out. She drags her cloak in front of her, causing him to fall back when he touches it. This special cloak was her father's. It protects from Lamias and Lycanthropus with an enchanted spell. Natsu started feeling a massive headache, causing him to whimper. It was a mistake to declare war on a guardian if you were a lamia or lycanthropus.

They specialize on you, yet you believe you can defeat them? Now that he was distracted, Lucy once again took out one of her tricks. Wolfsbane. Another venom that is a danger to him, specifically if he's in his wolf form. She throws the bottle, and through half way of the kick, he turns himself into his human form. Causing her to gasp and start falling. Not letting the bottle drop and get wasted, she grabs it and crashes to the ground on her back. She grunts as the sharp pain stings her everywhere, including her neck. Grabbing her cloak, she swings it over once again to escape. For only Natsu to grab it and pull it away. It didn't repel him off because he was using his human form, and brute force. After doing so, he glares at her, with a challenging glare.

-Natsu: "You're good..." He says as his eyes turn yellow once again. Before he can turn into the beautiful wine red wolf, she takes out her wicked knife and slashes him. Being careful to not stab it for no deep wound. He loses his balance and quickly falls to his knees. Indulging the burning sensation. Lucy on the other hand ignores the back ache she has, and jumps to her feet. Natsu notices quickly, and stands straight. Their stare was heaving the air's pressure. The roars around silenced, realizing the seriousness they kept at each other. The strong hybrid and guardian were waiting, who would make the first move.

-Lucy: "Well. I think it's about time someone makes a move." She says before something on her back moves. Natsu's eyes widened. He completely forgot who his custos was. Big mistake. "Gemini!" She yells as Lucy and her copy begin their hand and feet combat fight. They both lift their feet and mimic a kick, one from the right and the other from the left. Natsu quickly grabs their feet, and throws them towards the Fullbuster abode. Causing them to cry out of pain due to the patronum.

-Natsu: "I'm fired up." He says as his fist engulf in flames.

-Levy: "A celestial custos... She's one of the gifted..." She mumbles. Lucy's eyes widen at his gift. She had never seen someone with the power of such hot flames. He runs towards her, and she thinks hard, until her eyes landed on the water. A river that was full of mermaids and mermen jumping, giving flips in the air. Her left hand lands on one of her golden keys.

-Lucy: "Gemini, distract for me." She says as she slips out one of the golden keys with two blue u's. Seeing as Natsu was fighting Gemini, she took the chance and slipped towards the nearby river. As Natsu was punching and kicking, he realized she didn't have the same moves. He starts looking around, blocking Gemini's attacks, to spot the one he was searching reaching the river. Realizing that she was up to something, he moves towards a direction where he and Gemini and Lucy in front. Natsu then turns his iris' once again yellow, getting the chance to turn into a now on fire yellow and red wolf. His head lifts up and he starts howling in the air, fire along with it. Still howling, he moves his head down, the fire heading towards Gemini and Lucy. "Aquarius!"

Just as he believed he had victory in his hands, a water hit came battling against his powerful fire. He jumps on top of a tree before it can hit him hard. "Dead." A voice creeps into his ear. He slowly moves his head towards the voice, to spot the blond smirking in victory with the wicked knife on his neck. The silence is crashed with a tsunami of cheers. They jump off the tree and are welcomed by the fairies. Natsu begins to change back to normal, slowly this time though.

-Natsu: "Hmph. Maybe you are worthy of protecting me." He says as he extends his arm out to her. She hides the knife back into place and smiles.

-Lucy: "Maybe." She says as she sets her hand on his extended one. A symbol on the top of their hands starts printing. It was the symbol of the Japanese In and Yo. The adopted Chinese Yin-Yang.

-Erza: "Taming the wolf the same day. Good job Lucy, I told you. I knew you were strong enough." Lucy smiled at this. She started gaining confidence in herself. She really did achieve his acceptance the same day she met him. That's what the symbol is to Custos. It symbolizes the trust they now felt for each other. Natsu truly believes that Lucy is worthy of protecting him. "Now that it's imprinted, you both will receive visions of each other."

-Natsu: "May our adventure together begin!"
