Lucy's POV

-Zeref: "If you say so. I wish you luck in the afterlife." He says before a spread of fire revolves around them. Turning black slowly. Layla throws her wicked knife towards Zeref, hitting his shoulder, causing blood to smear. Then, she brings out her Aquarius key onto the river.

-Layla: "Aquarius!" She shouts before the familiar zodiac appears, making a water hit onto the flames. His death power was interrupted with mother's knife.

-Aquarius: "You idiot Layla. I can't hold  the flames down forever, they'll just come back and they will when I run out of water!" She shouts at her.

-Layla: "I just need you to distract for me!" She shouts before summoning another key. "Scorpio!"

-Scorpio: "Alright!" He shouts motivated before throwing sand onto the water Aquarius was pouring on the flames, making it familiar to mud to keep the flames from rising once again. As they do so, Layla summons two more spirits at once.

-Layla: "Gemini, Horologium!"

-Horologium: "What can I do for you Layla?"

-Layla: "Keep Lucky safe, but don't run off with him! Or else..."

-Zeref: "I don't need my flames to have you wrapped around my finger Layla." He says as he pulls out the wicked knife and throws it into the river. Horologium keeps Lucky inside his box and hides behind a tree. The baby began to cry so he started to read a children's story. As he did, Gemini and mother united and began to have a fist fight with Zeref.

-Layla: "Duplicate!" She shouts, having a third copy of herself from Gemini. Layla takes on Zeref's torso as the twins spread themselves to confuse him.

-Zeref: "Your smell is unique my love." He says before choking the twins and throwing them across the river. After, he punches Layla's belly, and chokes her neck as well, bringing her face close to his. "Such beauty... to waste." He says as he tightens his grip on her, making her face turn red.

-Lucy: "Mom..." I say as I get goosebumps at the sight. There she is. My honorable mother. Giving her life to her family.

-Zeref: "Oh? What's this?" He asks as he looks down onto her hand. Her eyes widen once again as she whispers.

-Layla: "Gemini..." She pulls her hand out towards one of the twins that received the wicked knife from Aquarius and cut her hand off brutally. Bleeding out ridiculously.

-Zeref: "Stubborn." He says before the other twin kicks Zeref's testicles, making Layla drop and get caught by the original Gemini. She quickly takes Layla to the flames where Aquarius and Scorpio stop laying low and burn her wound. Layla screams but knows that it's all necessary. "That's it!" He shouts. Quickly bursting his flames everywhere, making the celestial spirits wash away.

-Horologium: "Forgive me Miss Layla..." He says before dropping the baby onto the floor, making Lucky cry all over again.

-Zeref: "If you don't want to live with me, you won't live at all. But you will to witness this." He says before walking towards the baby and carries him sweetly. Rubbing his cheek neatly. "He truly is beautiful Layla."

-Layla: "Zeref please... if you love me, don't do this. Don't be the monster your brother is! You still have humanity in you. I know it."

-Zeref: "You murdered the human Zeref a year ago Layla." He says, shifting his hurt smile onto her. "And you'll receive your punishment." He says before wrapping his hand around the baby's face and begins to crush it slowly. Making Lucky cry out for his mother.

-Layla: "No!" She cries before he finally ends the baby's suffering and crushes his head completely. Spreading  blood everywhere. Zeref drops the baby's body and licks his entire hand.

-Zeref: "Interesting." He says as Layla begins to scream in pain of seeing her baby be brutally murdered. She begins to crawl over to his body until Zeref grabs her hair and pulls it across the grass. "So remember me reading minds? Well it's nice to know that your child remembers the word Ceiba. A family reunion seems to be in order. Let me be a gentleman and give you a ride." He smiles at her while she just weeps.

-Layla: "My Lucky..." She whispers tragically. My heart beat has been crazy this whole time. But now, my mind is just blank. This is a joke right? This couldn't have happened. All my parents wanted was happiness. A life together. And this is what they get?

-Zeref: "How do you feel Layla? Was happiness for a year worth it?" She doesn't answer right away. But finally did so after a minute or two.

-Layla: "You weren't like this. The Zeref I knew would have done anything for my happiness. And you just took a big part of it away."

-Zeref: "Would you like an empty apology?"

-Layla: "Go to hell. Jude will outsmart you." She says before they arrive at the beautiful huge tree. And there sat Jude with my baby self in his arms.

-Zeref: "Jude, Jude, Jude. Where could you be my friend?" He asks before raising flames around the tree. Father held his breath and let my baby self suck on a pacifier. To not make a single sound. My father was keeping himself calm until he looked at what Zeref was pulling around and how she was. He quickly looks down on his hand and sees a missing vein.

-Jude: "No..." He says as his heart drops into his stomach.

-Zeref: "Ah, there you are." He says before letting everything around him die. "I'll smell your age out."

-Jude: "You bastard." He says before he lays the baby down on the tree, still invisible and carefully. His eyes become clear before each of his hands hold two orbs. One with a green orb and the other with a blue orb. He quickly throws the green one towards Layla, causing her to fall asleep and float in the air. Then he throws the blue one towards Zeref's foot, making his leg have a burst of water that becomes ice, slowly freezing his whole body. As Zeref realizes this, he quickly turns into his dark werewolf, interrupting any freezing he could receive.

Sensing the danger my baby self could be in, he quickly summons a black orb and throws it at her, causing her to fly away slowly. After, Jude claps his hands together and creates a water shield around him that causes him to float. Zeref on the other hand was already in his wolf form and was howling the black fire in the air trying to hit Jude. With just a hint of the fire hitting him, it was already cracking the shield. Obligating Jude to have another strategy. Before Zeref could howl another time, Jude lunges away ice spikes from his floating orb, hitting everything below him.

As the shield breaks, Jude stretches his leg onto the floor and hits it with his fist. Summoning runes that began to crack the ground. Zeref jumps into the air turning back to his normal form. As he did, the grass around him was already dying once again. And the ground's crack became even more dangerous but backfired onto the chanter. Jude.

Not giving in at all, he jumps onto a tree and chants another spell, making the tree grow more and more. But to Jude's blind side, he forgot that everything around Zeref dies slowly. Not letting the tree grow another inch. The problem between these two powerful malficus' was that Jude was specialized in nature. Something that Zeref counters.

-Jude: "I will risk my life for the ones I love. And if the price for my final form is necessary, then so be it." He says before his hands direct to the sun and he pulls the eternal power from it. Consuming so much light from it, his skin was beginning to shine immensely. The sun favored my father obviously. So his power brought his body to be full of gold armor along with a staff that was gold as well with an orb on it's tip.

-Zeref: "Truly beautiful, I must admit. Well, shall we make this an even battle?" He asks as the bones from his body crack and turns into a werewolf once again. But to everyone's surprise, he did something so unexpected. His claws knifed down at the ground and he howls, consuming spirits and souls. Which all of them yelp in pain. "Come to me the wretched and cursed to feed your blood lust." He says, receiving a fading look as he consumes all of them. Along with grey horns that grew on his head while his tail was full of wretched thorns.

As they both turn into their final forms, they both prepare their stance and rush towards each other in battle. Jude begins with hitting Zeref with the corners of his staff until he jumps back and shoots a ray of light onto him. Zeref dodges the ray and howls the pain the souls feel onto him, making Jude's emotions loose. Also creating illusions on him. He quickly shakes his head and jumps high, hitting light beams under him constantly to stay in the air attacking Zeref even with his quick speed. The wolf jumps higher and grabs the bright man, throwing him onto the floor.

-Lucy: "It's not looking so well for dad..."

Jude hits the floor and arches in pain but quickly recovers by shining upon Zeref. Blinding him completely. As he does, he gives twirls on his staff in a helicopter style trying to hit Zeref. But a wolf's strength isn't sight. It's smell and hearing. Which causes him to dodge it and claw at Jude, trying to tear his armor. To make even more damage, he howls black fire and the excruciating pain the souls feel on him. Cracking his chest plate already. Jude shouts in pain but knows it's worth it because of the unexpected burning sensation Zeref received from the ray of lights.

In panic, Zeref releases more souls from the underworld onto Jude. They all attack him and begin to consume his health. Jude sacrifices his gauntlets and gives another ray of light. But as he does so, he receives two sun horses to fight for him. One knocks away all of the souls and the other attacks Zeref directly. The werewolf won't let itself be exposed, so he bites away at the shining horse and destroys it. Giving another ray of light.

-Zeref: "How bothersome can your light be!" He shouts, giving me an incredible headache.

-Gray: "Lucy! Are you alright? You're pale again!" He worries and I shake my head.

-Lucy: "I'm fine. Don't worry." I say, continuing to watch the horrifying battle. Everything has been so overwhelming. The past is so horrible. Now I understand clearly why everyone was hiding it away from me. I had a twin brother. And he died even with the fight my mother put up.

-Zeref: "Enough of this." He says before he howls once again, releasing all of the souls that were in his body. At the sight of Zeref doing this, father did the same and sacrificed all of this armor, releasing all of the sun horses onto him. My heart started to beat faster at the sight. This was it. Once the horses and souls reach each other, a mix of light and darkness bursts, causing Gray and I to yell and shut our eyes, hiding from the strong explosion of power.

When all of it cleared up, my armorless father pointed his cracked staff at Zeref, giving away the last ray of light. While Zeref howls his black fire, having both powers clash. And once again, an explosion of light and darkness consumes our sight. When it clears up, the forest was wiped away. Everything was destroyed. Both men were in they normal form, but only one was standing.

-Lucy: "No!"

-Zeref: "I didn't expect anything less from the most powerful Maleficus." He says as he falls to his knees and  breathes heavily while my father lied there. Gone. As soon as the man died, a shout of his name was heard by a very familiar voice. Zeref looks up and sees Layla on the floor, crawling towards the man she loved. "I see you've awakened my dear."

-Layla: "My love... it's alright. We gave our life together. Together. I love you so much Jude." She says as her tears fall on his face. She kisses his eyes closed and rubs his hair softly, wishing she could see him open his eyes one more time.

-Lucy: "Ma... Pa..."

-Zeref: "I'd say I gave you enough time. You already said your goodbyes Layla." He says before grabbing her neck and begins to choke her in the air. The fact that mother wasn't even resisting literally made my heart break. It was falling deeper and deeper into my stomach, as though there wasn't an end to it. But there was. And that bottom broke it completely. I begin to cry nonstop and hug Gray as tightly as possible.

-Layla: "Live on, my dear." She says as her eyes were set on the sky, appreciating her last piece of life flying away. So thankful that Zeref never detected her invisibility. And there, was my mother's last breath. Her eyes became lifeless slowly, and her color was fading. As soulless Zeref was, a single teardrop fell from his eye. And all because of this battle, I'm here.
