Summary:: Don't give kid Micheal weapons (Chapter 5)
(Brandon "POV")
"GO GO GO GO!!", Ritchie ordered everyone. Holding onto his shoulders with one hand as he pointed ahead, right now having a free piggyback ride on top of his white-haired twin.
Brandon could feel the pounding energy from Ritchie's heartbeat, not from the fact they were being chased by wild wolves--well, that is the cause. But not the fear part any normal individual would have.
But his twin wasn't normal indeed. Within Ritchie's muscles shaking from struggling to keep hold on top of his brother without falling or flailing, there was the urge of excited anticipation...
In summary, Brandon knew his brother wanted to hop down and beat up every one of those savage beasts.
Or this just reflected off what Ritchie then said, " Stop being a coward and fight Austin!". Yea, Brandon knew Ritchie wanted to hop down and do it for Austin. He wouldn't let him though, of course.
"How do you expect me to fight against those things!?", Austin bellowed in his defense as he maintained his running speed. Brandon wasn't gonna lie, Austin had a good running posture. But for some reason, even being overly capable of doing so, wasn't sprinting ahead and leaving them in his wake.
He'll decode that mystery later (He was always up for some small mystery-solving), he already had an easy theory explaining why. But he just was more confused on the part on why not?
From what he learned from the oldest here, he was one to get irritated easily. Probably too easily.
"Cause your so 'STRONG', HAH! or are you just lazy?" Ritchie rejoined, not helping the circumstance at all.
Austin flared back, not solving it in any shape or form, " Says the one riding on his twins back.".
Ritchie rolled his eyes and stuck his tongue out, And not to anyone's surprise. Bri jumped to Ritchie's side of this conversation, "At least he's being useful unlike you! And he's fairly more tolerable".
Austin groaned, one fist clenching. And if not with the barrier of a life lesson, 'You can't hit a girl' Austin would have slaughtered her face intel it was bruised beyond repair.
Or Brandon was Dramasizing the action, He shrugged. Interesting relationship nonetheless.
Quickly after the arguing, the snarling of the wolves behind them ceased into a quiet echo of the crickets and birds in the area. Probably disrupted by the yelling.
They all took the risk and turned around, and just saw the youngest one there-- Micheal, standing where the wolves would have been. But the most key feature that they all couldn't miss, he was holding a scythe about four times the size of him.
"welp, they had a good life eating young children". He added randomly. Feeling his brother hold in a snark.
"You have dark humor.." Bri stared at him, her face confused and alarmed by the dark meaning in his joke. Brandon could easily tell she was wondering how he even developed that sense of humor when he was close to as old as she was.
Micheal cleared his throat and softened the awkwardness. "The scythe appeared and I sent the big puppies somewhere.".
Austin covered his mouth, to hide a small smile at the fact he called them "Big puppies".
Micheal walked up to Austin and handed him a brown teddy bear, stating casually " You dropped this.".
Austin, plugging his ears on one side to block out some of his brothers laughter. And grabbed the teddy bear. Thanking Micheal, " Thank you, that was very nice of you.".
Micheal nodded, showing no reaction.
"Oh, I also stabbed one with the scythe," Micheal added honestly.
This silenced everyone, and they all stared at him. Each one of them having their own reactions, yet Bri took it as her responsibility to lecture the younger child.
"That's not good! You go to jail for that. My pare-"
"Meh, it was considered self-defense. Right?" he broke into her lecture to spare time. Causing her to jumble her previously planned words.
"But- You, need to get.. Arrested for hurting someone!". Bri declared.
Brandon nodded, and reach to ruffle his twin's hair. Continuing, " What if someone was coming at you with a knife, no escape to flee. No help, do you have reason to attack.".
Micheal gazed at Brandon the whole time he saved him from the lecture, face sadly unreadable. reminded him of himself half the time.
Well, from what he heard from his and Ritchie's parents. He had the biggest "MEH" expression, whatever that meant.
As the other kids started talking and walk, his brother preceding to hop off of him to join the conversations.
His mind drifted away, questioning. How did they get there?
And where were their parents...
He felt something wet drip down his cheek, and he wiped it away. Knowing he needed to be strong for Ritchie...
At least he still had his brother....
