Third person POV.

Bryan awoke to Firework licking his face. He smiled and rubbed Firework's head before rolling onto the floor. He managed to get up with Firework's help and walked out of the room after yawning. He was still in a daze so the fact that Lo Pho was also in the room with Atlas didn't click.

''Good morning Atlas, good morning Lo Pho.'' The animals stared at Bryan for a few seconds.

''Good morning Bryan.'' As Lo Pho said that, Atlas said his greeting.

''Good morning master.'' Bryan froze at both of their voices and turned around so quickly that he would've fallen if it wasn't for Firework.

''1. Atlas, how many times do I have to tell you to call me Bryan, I am your friend not your master. And 2. I hope this doesn't sound rude but why are you here and how did you get in here?'' Lo Pho chuckled at the last part.

''Firework told me that you wanted me to help train you, so I agreed and he said that I should come over this morning.'' Bryan nodded before a thought crossed his mind.

''How did you get in here? Did one of these guys let you in?'' Lo Pho shook his head.

''One of your windows was open.'' This caused a confused look on Bryan's face.

''My window's don't open...'' Lo Pho shrugged.

"A good warrior always finds a way inside..." Everyone got a look on their face.

"Ominous, yet intriguing..." This caused a chuckle to ring out among the animals.

"Can we get started after I feed Firework and Atlas, or do we have to start now?" Lo pho shook his head.

"We can wait until you finish feeding your friends." Bryan smiled and went towards his fridge, pulling out a large steak and some cut up pieces of a porkchop.

After the two finished eating, they made their way outside and started training.Lo Pho used a bucket as a target and Bryan somehow managed to burn the entire area around it, and even hit it directly, yet it was somehow scorch-free. The same result happened with Firework causing everyone to sweat drop.

''That is one indestructable bucket.'' Bryan nodded at Lo Pho's sentence while Atlas said he wanted to try.

Atlas flew up and some of his feathers changed to a silvery color. He closed his eyes before calling out.

''Feather darts!'' After those words left his beak the silver feathers shot out and impaled the bucket, much to the surprise and amazement of everyone else.

''That was awesome!!'' Atlas blushed at Bryan's outburst while Lo Pho and Firework chuckled at that.

''So Bryan,'' Everyone looked at Lo Pho as he spoke.

''I would suggest trying not to use magic for the week unless absolutely necessary. After the week is up, you should start working on your stamina so that you don't pass out.'' Bryan blushed at the last part, while Atlas and Firework chuckled.

''I need to go out and get some stuff so I will see you later.'' Lo Pho nodded and said bye before heading out, most likely to the guild.

Bryan hopped on Firework's back after making sure he had everything, while Atlas flew into a nearby branch. Once it was confirmed that he had his money, Bryan gripped onto Firework's collar as a way of saying he was ready, causing the large wolf to start running with the falcon following from behind.

The family of two magic animals and one dragon slayer were about to start making their way back home when they all froze.

''S-st-stop! L-leave me a-alone!'' The voice was so quiet that no one other than them or a cat would have been able to hear it.

They immediately changed direction and rushed towards where the voice came from. When they got there, Bryan felt a large, fiery pit of anger well up inside of him, causing Firework and Atlas to feel the same.

A young girl was pinned to the wall by a man who was obviously much older than her. What the man said next made the family even angrier.

''Aww~ c'mon sweetie... no one is around to save you. And I can easily hurt you if you don't~'' he grabbed her shirt and started to pull it off.

Bryan immediately snapped and tackled the man away. The man turned, ready to fight, but immediately paled at the sight of the large wolf. Firework used this to his advantage and tackled the man to the ground, while Bryan turned towards the girl.

''Are you okay? Did he hurt you?'' The girl nodded at the first question and  shook her head at the second question, causing Bryan to let out a sigh of relief.

''Firework, take him to the protectors guild and tell Bri what happened. After that head straight back to the house. Make sure his journey there is long and painful.'' Firework nodded before grabbing the guy and dragging him away. Bryan turned back towards the girl.

''How about we go and get you fixed up.'' The girl was cautious at first, but something about his scent made him seem friendly.

''O-okay.'' Bryan helped the girl up and they walked with Atlas watching them from the distance.

Bryan, Atlas and the girl all got back in half an hour. Bryan learned some stuff about the girl.

-she is 12 years old.

-she doesn't have a family or a home
Which made Bryan consider adopting her.

-her favourite color is light/pale blue

Bryan gave her some spare clothes that he had since he occasionally liked to cross-dress, and still had an outfit that would fit her perfectly. He asked her to go into a guest room and get changed. When she finished, Bryan washed the dirt off her face, did her hair for her, and gave her a clip.

Bryan made some food since it seemed like she hadn't eaten in a while. After they ate for a bit, Bryan realized something important.

''We never told eachother our names!'' The girl looked surprised before looking towards Bryan.

''W-would you like to introduce yourself first?'' Bryan nodded.

''My name is Bryan and I'm a fire dragon slayer.'' This caused the girl's eyes to brighten.

''My name is Cassie and I'm a lightning dragon slayer!'' This caused surprise amongst the animals, Firework returned just before the meal started, and excitement to radiate from Bryan.

''I have a question for you Cassie.'' Cassie looked confused but motioned for Bryan to continue.

''I know this is sudden, but would you like me to adopt you?'' Cassie nodded with tears in her eyes, and basically threw her body into Bryan's arms when he offered her a hug.

''Well let's go to the Protectors guild and get my guild leader to get some adoption forms. You might even be able to join if she allows it.'' Cassie separated herself from Bryan and nodded before he helped her onto Firework's back.

He jumped on as well and Firework made his way to the guild hall.

Call it strange all you want, but I think Bryan needed to have someone that looks up to him. And the man mentioned in what I'm calling ''the danger zone" will play a roll later on in the story.
