So this is a bit of a nice, relaxing and sweet chapter.
{Wendy's point of view:}
My alarm buzzed wildly, and I groaned as sat up from my bed to turn it off. I was to tired for this. Maybe I could stay in bed for a little longer. Wait! Mylo said he knew where fairy tail is, we have to set off today!
"Wendy!It's an emergency!" Romeo said bursting into the room.
"Don't just burst into my room like that, without knocking!"
"You were only sleeping, besides we're friends it's not like you have anything to hide from me." He's such a dense idiot, he could've walked in on me changing. I'm going to have to put a lock on my door.
"Anyway, the guild is going wild, they don't want to except Mylo!" I let out a sigh of annoyance. I figured they wouldn't want Mylo in this guild. After all he is partly the reason why everyone's families were taken away from them. I'll have to convince them to let him stay.After forcing Romeo outside my room,and getting changed, we both heading downstairs into the main guild hall. We found Asuka standing in front of Mylo defensively, with everyone else shouting at her.
"Asuka, how can you fall for his lies!"
"He's the enemy! We won't accept him in our guild!" As soon as everyone realised I was here, they all went onto an awkward silence.
"I understand you may not trust him, but he's are best chance of finding all of your guilds. We're setting out today to find the guilds!"
"What today!"
"Are we actually going to find them!"
"It's about time, it's been five years!"
Everyone was right, it's been five years and as the master it's about time, I did something.
"But master!" A young female voice exclaimed seriously.
"Yes Lyra?"
"But what about your birthday? Wasn't it tomorrow?"
"We'll have to push my birthday aside for now! Everyone you have 5 hour to pack and get everything you need. We'll split into several different groups. Mylo has gave us a set of maps, to show us where we are going, do not lose them! Thank you for your attention." I ordered politely. A lot of the times, I felt like I was to commanding towards the others. I felt like I was a terrible master, I try to think what would Master Makarov do? What would Master Mavis do? But it never works. I could never be a good master like them. But the least I could do is push my birthday aside and focus on getting all the guilds back. I headed upstairs to go back to my room, when I felt someone grab my hand.
"We can't just ignore your birthday Wendy, besides it'll be nice to spend one of our last times together with Dragon Shield!" Romeo told me.
"I know that Romeo, but I've made everyone wait for 5 years now, they all miss their families, and it's my fault, because we didn't set out to find them quickly enough, I don't want to make them wait anymore, what good of a master am I, if I do that?"
"I'm sure they can wait one more day, and don't doubt yourself Wendy, your a great master, one day I hope that you can become the actual master of fairy tail, I'm sure Makarov would be proud." Romeo replied sweetly. He always knew how to cheer me up.
"Thank you, that means a lot."
"No problem, anyway I'll get Lux to tell everyone we'll set off after your birthday." I smiled at him once again, before heading off into my room.
{Romeo's point of view:}
Wait! I was asleep for a while, and I was fighting for a while before that, meaning I never had any free time meaning.....I haven't brought Wendy a gift! I'm such an idiot, I'm an idiot, argh I'm stupid, that means Asuka hasn't brought Wendy a gift either!
"Asuka!" She popped her head around the stair case.
"What is it?"
"We haven't brought Wendy a gift!"
"Well then what are we waiting for let's go shopping! Can Mylo come with us? "
She asked giving me the puppy dog eyes, begging her heart out.
"How can I say no to that face."
{Asuka's point of view:}
I grabbed Mylo and Romeo's hand dragging them excitingly into Magnolia. What should I buy? It's got to be something Wendy really likes. What does Wendy really like? She likes Romeo. I can't exactly give Wendy, Romeo as a gift, when he's literally hanging out with her 24/7. I could by her a snow globe! Like what my parents brought. I wonder what Romeo will get her? He better get her something sweet. I need to focus on getting Wendy her gift, not her and Romeo.
"So why are you buying Wendy gifts"
Mylo asked confused.
"Because it's her birthday tomorrow, duh, have you not heard of a birthday before."
"Actually I haven't."
"So you've never had a birthday party?"
I asked sweetly.
"....no." He whispered embarrassingly.
"Don't worry about it kid, one day we'll throw you a birthday party." Romeo said ruffling Mylo's hair.
"So Romeo, what are you going to buy Wendy? Any ideas?"
"I'm not sure actually, I was going to ask you, what do you think I should get her."
"You should get her chocolates, or a fancy necklace."
"Asuka, she isn't my girlfriend."
"Sure she isn't. You like her though so you should get her that."
"What! I don like her!" Romeo exclaimed ha face turning bright red.
"Sure you don't." I said sarcastically.
"Asuka's right, you clearly like her, otherwise your face wouldn't be bright red right now." Mylo said smirking. Alright know I've got Mylo on my side.
"Anyway we're going off topic what should I buy her?" Romeo replied.
"Why don't you both, split the money on something, I don't know much about Wendy, but she's probably find it sweet, if you both got her a gift."
"Yeah that's a great idea Mylo." I try my best to make sure Mylo fits in. It feels weird to think only a few days ago we were fighting and I called him a meanie. I'm glad we're friends now, he's actually a really great guy. I grabbed their hands once again and rushed to the snow globe shop. I always wonder outside it, because it reminds me of my mom and dad. Words can't say how much I miss them, as cheesy and cliche as it sounds it is the truth.
"A snow globe shop?"
"Yeah, I always liked to look at the snow globes, it opened quite a bit before fairy tail was kidnapped, so I used to look around with my mom and dad. So I promised myself that I would come to this snow globe shop everyday, because they'd want me to." Romeo placed his hand on head, and ruffled my hair lightly. He's always reassuring me. He's almost as cool as Wendy. Almost. I opened the door and skipped into the shop. I scanned the cabinets. I wanted to find a glob that represented me, Romeo and Wendy, but I couldn't find any. I wanted to find the perfect one, for Wendy's birthday.
"Hey Asuka, back again!" The shop keeper said happily.
"Yeah I'm trying to find a gift for my friend, her birthday is tomorrow."
"Hahah, well it's your lucky day I have their perfect gift. Considering your my favourite customer, I've been making this for a long time now, here." He said placing a well-sculptured snow globe on my desk. It was made out of a pristine see-through ice, and inside was every member of fairy tail. My eyes sparkled at the sight of it.
"It's made out of ice, you had an ice wizard in that fairy tail guild, did you not? So I thought I'd make the snow glob out if ice. It was a lot of work though, and creating every single member of fairy tail, I had to do a lot of research, I never even knew who that Macao guy was!"
"Hey that's my father your talking about! Even though he is forgetful..."
"Sorry Romeo."
"Anyway sir, thank you very much, how much do you want for it?" I asked.
"Don't worry about it Asuka, you've been through a lot, the least I can do for you, is to give you this gift." I thanked him gratefully, and took the snow globe.
{Time skip to tomorrow morning:}
I woke up, with a giant yawn, rubbing my eyes and stretching my arms slowly. Wait! It's Wendy's birthday today! I grabbed her present from myself and Romeo, and rushed downstairs. I saw Wendy and Romeo drinking cups of coffee, on a table chatting quietly.
"Wendy! HAPPY BIRTHDAY!" I exclaimed jumping up towards her, and holding her in a tight hug.
"Thank you Asuka!"
"Here, for you!" I said giving Wendy, her neatly wrapped gift.
"It's from me and Romeo, by the way."
"I know he told me earlier."
"Well open it, open it!"
"Okay, okay, calm down!" Her fingers lightly untangled the bow, and ripped apart the box holding the snow globe. She picked it up gently and smiled, with almost invisible tears at the corner of her eyes.
"Oh Asuka it's beautiful thank you. You too Romeo."
"No problem, I'm glad you liked it, I just wanted to make sure you have the best day possible. Huh." I said, as I noticed Mylo walking outside the guild, looking upset.
"Do you mind if I go after him?"
"Sure go ahead."
I ran after him calling his name. But the closer I got to him, the faster he ran away. Eventually he stopped running and I noticed we were at the docks. He sat down, dipping his feet into the water. Looking down sadly.
"Hey what's wrong? Are you okay?"
"Why do you care?" He spat harshly.
"Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed today."
"Sorry, it's just....oh well it doesn't matter."
"Well you can't not tell me now."
"It's just seeing you all getting along, celebrating your friends birthday, I feel like what place do I have in your guild, I don't have any friends, I never had any friends. I don't even know when my birthday is. Because I had no one to tell me. I'm jealous of you Asuka, because unlike you, I have no friends." He answers quietly. His voice shook when it spoke as if he would cry at any moment. I've never seen him like this. When we first met he seemed like he was emotionless like he was incapable of experiencing feelings. But now, I find myself sympathising him.
"That's not true. You have me right! I'm your friend!"
"You say that, but you hated me a few days ago, you can't truly care about me in a matter of a few days."
"That may be true, but that doesn't stop the fact that I'm your friend. That I chased after you to make sure your okay. And there may be a time in your life when you find yourself alone, but there's always some one there. I know that the world isn't always filled with the kindest of people, but there are some out there, and there even special people. One day you'll find that person who's there for you. A friend. And if you ask me, you already found her, because I'm right here if you need me."
I exclaimed cheerfully. His eyes widened in shock. Before he look down happily and shyly.
"Thank you Asuka."
{Romeo's point of view:}
"Say Wendy are you okay? Considering it's your birthday, you don't seem to cheerful today."
"I'm alright, but is still sweet if you to ask so thank you." She replied kindly.
"Don't pull that sweet act on me, I know you better then anyone else Wendy, so I know when your lying. What's wrong? You know you can tell me anything."
"I know I can tell you anything Romeo, but I don't want to get you involved in my problems. I mean your already involved in this mess with Fairy Tail and Poison Vile."
"That isn't your fault. So please tell me what's wrong."
"I just wish fairy tail was here to celebrate my birthday with me, they already haven't been able to for the past five years. I wish Chelia was here as well, but I can't even see her again."
"I can't really do anything about that, but I can promise you that fairy tail will be back for your next birthday."
"How can you promise that?" She asked me confusingly.
"Because I'll make sure of it. As for Chelia, remember that she's always looking down on you and while you can't see her, she's celebrating right beside you." I told her, pulling her into a sudden hug. We don't usually hug much, maybe I shouldn't have done that, umm should I let go or..what? Then I felt her arms wrap around me.
"Thank you, Romeo."
"Ughh don't mention it." I exclaimed nervously my cheeks going red. Why does my face feel so hot? It's probably just the heat right?
"Wendy."
"Yeah." She said letting go of me.
"Happy birthday!"
First of all, thank you for reading, second of all this chapter was dedicated to sky-dragon-slayer so I hoped all of you wish her a happy birthday. Well a late happy birthday anyway her birthday was on the 26th. Anyway the point is she's an amazing person. So go follow her,read her books they are amazing and please wish her a happy birthday in the comments because she deserves it. Also this is my first ever chapter that I've ever wrote that had 2000+ words, and that doesn't count the bold text so I feel like I've accomplished something. Anyway some cute moments between the characters. From friendship to a bit of romance. As much as I love Rowen I won't add it in to much, because it isn't the main focus of the story, fairy tail and family is. Just like the manga and anime.
