Day 1 of S-class trials
Tenrou Island
3 months after future team leaves

Natsu:

"You're still thinking about Nashi aren't you?" Happy asks. Natsu looked down at the cave floor. Nashi had been all that he could think about for the past few months. He nodded silently.

"I can't get her out of my head." He added. As a matter of fact, the future team was all that was ever on anyone's minds. Juvia swears that Storm is her and Gray's love child. Wendy somehow convinced Erza that Reiki was just like her. Mirajane had also gone on about how Gale looked just like Gajeel and Levy. Neither of them are admitting it though. As for Lucy, who knows. She doesn't say much about their encounter.

"You've gotta get your head in the game!" Happy determines. "It's the first day of S-class trials you can't afford to fall behind. Especially if we're going up against Erza."

Happy was right, Natsu had chosen tunnel E just so he would get the chance to fight Erza. He made a fiery fist to show how determination.

"You're right Happy. I'm all fired up now!" He yelled running down the cave tunnel. That determination didn't last long when he got a look at his opponent. He stopped dead at the sight of Gildarts.

"Natsu how long are you going to sulk? We won." Happy inquired. Natsu was sitting against a rock as Gramps announced the five teams moving on in the trials. Happy had expected his partner to be more cheerful to move on. However the means by which Natsu won his match was rather rocking.

"No... Just thinking about something."

"NATSU IS! THINKING ABOUT! SOMETHING!!" Happy shrieked.

"How little do you think of him?" Lucy muttered under her breath.

Gildarts was someone that Natsu has always aspired to be. To hear him say that he was cheering Natsu on was all he needed to hear.

"Gray! Cana! Levy! Elfman!" He called out. "Let's fight and we'll see just who becomes an S-class wizard"

"I'll take that bet." Gray counters.

"Very well then." Master chides. "Your next task is to find the grave of our first master, Mavis. You have six hours."

"Alright, I'm all fired up now! This'll be easy as -" Natsu's words were cut short by a rumbling sound. The entire island seemed to shake.

"Aah! What's happening?" Happy cried.

"Is this part of the test?" Levy asked. Master said nothing. He turned his face to the wizards around him. Just then, an ear piercing yell was heard throughout the jungle.

"Was that a monster?" Lucy inquired.

"It sounded human to me." Gray concluded.

"But who was that? And what's with all the shaking?" Cana stammered.

Two more screams filled the jungle. They were different from the first. One was clearly female and the other was male as well as the first.

"Natsu can you tell where it's coming from?" Master Makarov questioned.

Natsu tilted his head in an effort to pinpoint the origin of the yelling. His ears picked up a fourth scream coming from the West. Natsu growled, none of the screams belonged to his comrades who weren't present. So who else was on the island?

"West. There's at least four of em and as far as I can tell, they ain't supposed to be here." Natsu concluded, he lit a fiery fist in anger. "They're gonna pay for messing up my chance of being S-class! Raaaahh!!!" With that, Natsu took off into the jungle after the intruders.

Nashi:

I screamed as I fell through the portal once again. When I opened my eyes, I was falling through trees. I desperately tried to grab hold of vines or branches, anything to break my fall. My hands scraped bark and splinters cut under my finger nails. Eventually my hands caught onto a vine and my descent stopped. I breathed a sigh of relief and took in my surroundings. I was in some sort of jungle with tall trees and random cliffs and rocks.

"Where the hell am I?!" I yell at no one. I look up at the sky where the portal has disappeared. "Stupid portal! This is not home! Now take me back right now!" I shout.

"Yelling's not gonna do you any good."

I flip around on my vine and see Storm standing on the ground a mere five feet below me. For a moment I just stare at him blankly.

"Are you gonna get down or not?" He questions.

"Oh, yeah." I carefully descend the vine and join him on the ground. "Where are we?" I ask.

"Tenrou island." A new voice answers. Storm and I whirl around to see Rieki, Gale, and Kali walking towards us. Gale has arm wrapped around Reiki's shoulder and I notice her limp.

"Gale what happened?!" I exclaim. Kali flies to my side and sits on my shoulder, hugging my head.

"Ugh, I think I sprained my ankle."  She grimaces. "At least the two of you are safe."

"For now." Storm pouts. "You guys know what happens on this island." Fear strikes our hearts and we realize what is going to happen. Grimiore Heart, the seven kin of purgatory, Zeref, and to top it off Acnologia.

"Maybe it's a different date." Kali squeaks.

"While that may be true, we should find the Master just to be safe." Reiki decides.

"Reiki, you're an S-class wizard. You've done this before." I point out. Reiki nods. "Do you know where we could find the old man?"

Reiki thinks for a moment, trying to recall where the master could be. "Mavis' grave." He deduces.

"Great now lets find the Master and get the heck outta here!"

Natsu:

"NATSU! SLOW DOWN!" Happy yelled after his partner barreling through the jungle.

"Keep up Happy! We've got intruders to catch and a grave to find! Once I'm the first to find Mavis' grave and I've taken down the intruders, Gramps is sure to make me S-class."

"How're you gonna do both with only 5 and a half hours left?"

"Like this!" Natsu yelled as he ran faster through the jungle. Happy screamed at him to slow down, but he didn't listen.

Suddenly Natsu caught a whiff of a certain smell. He stopped dead in his tracks and sniffed once more.

"Why'd you stop?" Happy asked.

"I smell something." Natsu sniffed at the air again. "Smells like... Smoke and Vanilla... Could it be?"

"Who is it?"

"It's her! It's Nashi!!!" Natsu took off running after the smell. He couldn't believe that she was here. He was grinning like an idiot. He had so many questions for her.

"Natsu wait up! Are you sure it's her?"

"I'm positive! It's gotta be her."

Nashi:

"How much farther?" I moan. It's been two hours and we're still hiking through this stupid jungle.

"Almost there." Reiki states. My feet are killing me so I've resorted to a new form of transportation: Storm's back. Gale has also resorted to Reiki's back to aid her sprained ankle.

Together, we make our way up the last boulder and into the cliff where the first master lies. Sitting in front of the head stone is master Makarov. His eyes are closed in mediation and he wears a yellow Hawaiian shirt.

"I didn't expect anyone to find it this fast." He grumbles.

"Yeah well, we aren't just anyone." I brag climbing off of Storm.

Master opens his eyes, shocked to see us. "Gah! What are you four doing here?!" He babbled.

"Five!" Kali exclaims from her perch on my head.

"I don't understand, you were sent back to the future."

"We were... just not far enough into the future." Gale explains.

"In our time, you've been gone for three months." Master states.

"To us it was only a few seconds." I add.

"On another note... I SPECIFICALLY TOLD YOU NOT TO TELL ANYONE!!!" He shouts. "The entire guild is talking about the 'future team' who could be their children from the future."

My team and I sweat drop at this outburst. We had forgotten about that minor detail.

"But we didn't tell anyone who our parents were." Storm explains. I swallow hard as I think back to my final words to my father.

"Don't worry, this isn't the last you've seen of the one and only Nashi Dragneel."

"Uh oh" I mutter.

"Nashi..." Reiki snarls. "What did you do?"
