Last time on FTNG:
"Cut the crap!" Cana walked in and threw a card at both Kazi's and Remington's ear, which freaked them out, making Rem's sword dissappear and Kazi to lower hers. "For the love of Mavis! I swear, every one of our kids has this problem. Ever since Tartaros happened, Nashi, Storm, Caleb, Remington. Even Rosemary ran into one!"

Everyone stayed silent.

"Can we just all admit that we can never run from them. We can't run from the stupid demons!"

|Author's POV|

Cana didn't stop there, "So stop trying to act like nothing is happening! Just tell her why! Tell your daughter why you gave her up."

Rogue and Kagura hung their heads. They didn't want to talk. They felt guilty. Felt like they didn't deserve to be parents.

When Kazi turned around, Cana grabbed her shoulders and looked her in the eye, "they gave you away to save your little brother. He was so dark when he was born that it was an opportunity for a demon to possess him. With the help of Sting's son, they managed to create a compromise. A hard one that involved you." Another tear fell from the girl's eyes, "if the demon was within a young girl who was so full of light not even a white dragon could exceed it, the demon wouldn't be able to do any destruction. However..." Cana wasn't able to speak anymore. She squeezed Kazi's shoulders harder, and started crying. Something she rarely ever did.

Laxus came in, "you can't let a demon go. And it's extremely difficult to move it into another suitor without a... a sacrifice," Caleb clenched his fist and swallowed. Laxus continued, "Cana knew her baby wouldn't be healthy due to all the drinking she's done. And she didn't want her child to be some rapists and suffering," Kazi looked over to the doorway, where Caleb was standing. "That was the sacrificial lamb. And then we realized... you... you weren't the right person to switch the demon to."

Kazi was confused about something. But didn't say anything.

Rogue finally decided to open his mouth, "and to...to train you. To keep the thing inside of you... we had to send you to a... center... but we didn't know that..." he stopped there.

Kagura continued, "it was the same place an ally had been to when she was younger... we didn't know that she'd been tortured... we're sorry."

Kazi started crying even harder. She couldn't stand it. Her parents tried to protect her baby brother. They thought she was the perfect candidate, but they were mistaken. She would've done the same to her own.

She got out of Cana's grip and let her sword clatter in front of her. It was a sword that apparently, Erza and Kagura both worked together to wield, and had Rogue's magic added to it.

She fell to her knees and started sobbing, Rem was thinking about going and comforting her, but ended up not doing it. So, he just stood there.

"Cana, we're going. We have other things to do," Laxus said while walking out the door.

Cana nodded, wiped her tears, and followed him out. She had just acted like nothing has happened. Which Kazi thought was impossible, how could someone just... just leave?

But she didn't know that Cana could act anything out. Pretend to be sad, to be angry, or just being calm.

The master glared at Caleb on his way out. Caleb knew where he was supposed to be. Act as if nothing ever happened in the master's office.

Laxus yelled at everyone from the second floor, "everyone! I need your attention! Look at the stage!"

Everyone's attention turned to the red curtain in the guild. Some of the members that'd been out recently had forgotten what this occasion was. Others, who's stayed at the guild, was excited to see who had been chosen. But they knew it wasn't going to be any of them.

Oh they knew alright.

Everyone around the team was excited, Gale was getting pretty antsy after about 5 minutes of staring at the curtain. So, he just finally yelled out, "CAN ANYONE TELL ME THE HELL IS GOING ON?!"

Everyone stayed silent.

Well, everyone except for the people behind the curtains.

Laxus had disappeared from the 2nd floor and in the center of the stage. With Gajeel, Lucy, and Jellal on one side of him and Nova, Caleb, and Reiki on the other.

Reiki looked out of it, he was in his regular clothes, but his hair was a mess, bags under his eyes, and he had crutches with him.

"Hi everyone!" Nova greeted with a smile.

Nashi, Storm, and Gale were dumbfounded. Who could forget about the S-Class trials?

Gajeel spoke, "if you didn't already know, we're here right now to pick who's el... eli... eligible for the trials."

Gale snorted at his father's mistake at pronouncing a word.

Gajeel just glared at him.

Lucy spoke next, "25 years ago, Gajeel and I participated in the trials. Eight candidates were in it for one goal. To become S-class. Now, granted neither of us were going to become a higher class, but we had a part in the battle nevertheless."

"They had a fight against Grimoire Heart," Jellal said, "they'd beat them in a magic battle and never had any problem with them again. In fact, they made allies. That wasn't until later. Before then, they got stranded on the island for 7 whole years."

"Why are you telling us our parents experience?" Nashi asked.

Laxus grinned, "because Nashi, we're doing it the same way they did. To celebrate their victory against Grimoire Heart." He let everyone cheer for a second, "there will be eight candidates. Each one can choose someone to partner with them, however they cannot be an S-Class wizard and they have to be within our guild."

"Before we choose the candidates," Nova held her father up, "I have to tell you that in these recent days, the master and S-Class wizards have seen how some of you operate. We all agreed on eight that can go through almost any pain. Physical, mental, even socially. The candidates will be strong, and possibly with the same amount of strength when fighting against eachother."

Caleb smiled, "on this test, you will go through just about anything to your dignity. Including ripping it to shreds. But we believe, however, that even then, you will push through. Prove us wrong, and then there goes another part of your dignity."

Reiki put up a strong face, but let out a weak voice, "the trials will be held at Tenrou Island. And if you think you can have help from parents, how wrong you'll be. Yes it'll be held at the same place, but nothing will be the same. Maybe." He smirked at his last word.

"So are you going to tell us who's going or what?" Nashi asked impatiently.

Lucy chuckled. She was glad her daughter was safe.

Laxus grinned, "the eight candidates are...

"Storm Fullbuster."

"Myko Huria."

"Gale Redfox."

"Rosemary Fernandez."

As names were being read, Nashi was tapping her foot impatiently. She desperately wanted her name to be called off.

"Asuka Connell"

"Kazi Cheney."

The pinkette had no recollection of who Kazi was or if she even was a member of Fairy Tail.

"Lily Strauss."

"Nashi Dragneel."

Nashi took a deep breath of relief when she heard her name called off, she legitimately thought that she didn't make it at all.

Laxus continued, "you have exactly one month from right this second to make to the ship that's taking you to Tenrou. Don't be late or else we're leaving you."

"YES!" Nashi yelled out.

|Kazi's POV|

What? How was I even chosen? I just got here...

HELLO!! So, MERRY CHRISTMAS!! I was just here in my bed then I thought, 'I should probably update a book...' So that's what I did.

ALSO WHOA 30 CHAPTERS?! I honestly thought I'd abandon Wattpad by now. I haven't been this dedicated to something since...

Well ever.

Also, thank you guys that have been here for my journey of life this year. I know that 2016 has been a bust overall, but will probably forever be remembered by me because that's when I created this account and my first successful story. So, um, yeah.

I love you all and hope you have a great 2017! I'm planning on releasing a SAO book (omg, I'm coming out of my FT shell I know) next year! See you then!
