|Chapter 23| Girl Talk
|Wendy's POV|
I've been making sure that Storm is alright, he's just been magic depleted and a couple of small wounds. Nothing serious. He's probably still recovering from being asleep for a month.
"Will he be alright?" Grandine asks curiously.
I look at Storm, "Yeah he'll be-"
She cuts me off, "No, not him. Daddy."
I look at her surprised, "Of course... why wouldn't he?"
Asuka looks me with her eyebrows raised.
Grandine shakes her head, "No. I want an honest answer from you."
I smile sadly, "Well, what do you think?"
"I think that he'll come back alive and not too beat up," my daughter says matter of factly.
"Well I think so too," I tell her.
After a couple minutes of riding in silence, I look at Asuka. I've been wondering how her love life's been going, "Soo... Asuka. Made any moves?"
She looks at me with a slight blush, "On Romeo? No no no, he's too old for me. And you guys kind of have a kid..."
"Not him idiot," I say rolling my eyes. "The archer."
Her blush gets brighter, "W-w-what?! Him?! I-I'm forbiddin to fall in love with men who have a bow and arrow."
"Says who?" I ask with curiosity.
I can tell she's thinking, "Mmmyyy.... ancestry?" She says with uncertainty, then tries to cover it up, "everyone in my family has been married to a gunslinger... not an archer."
I hear Grandine chuckling, then crosses over to Asuka and points at her in the small carriage, "We all know how you make googly eyes at him."
I giggle, "See? Even Grandine agrees."
Now her face is red as a tomato, "I do not like Myko!"
I gasp in surprise and look at Grandine and say, "She called him by name."
Grandine nods quickly and repeats to Asuka, "You called him by name."
Grandine and I start chanting together, "You called him by naaame! You called him by naaame!"
"Aww shut up will ya!" Asuka yells, with imaginary smoke coming out of her ears.
I gasp as I came up with an idea, "Asuko, Asuko, Asuko," I say quietly, then turning into loud.
Grandine joins me, "Asuko, Asuko! Asuko! Asuko!"
Asuka shakes her head furiously with her hands around her ears, "STOP STOP STOP!"
I then hear a familiar voice chant with us quietly, "Asuko. Asuko. Asuko." He then coughs.
Ignoring the fact that he's awake, Asuka glares at him, "You too?!"
"Well," he coughs, "We all know how you two look at eachother."
"Aha!" Grandine chirps, pointing at Asuka with her finger between her two eyes.
She then jumps on my lap and we give eachother a high five.
"Thank Mavis that I don't have Nova or Mira with us..." I heard her mumble.
But that would've been more fun..
|Author's POV|Kazi|
Kazi got dragged back to the unknown group's base. She literally got dragged by her long, dark hair.
Once there, she was thrown into a room completely clotheless, and her head hurting from the tugging. She huddled in a corner and held her knees to her chest.
The room had cement walls and floor, even the ceiling was flat and cement. There was no windows. So Kazi was stuck in complete darkness. There was a metal door that was locked. Stuck in darkness and no way out.
It's wonderful isn't it?
No, she thought, because of me, I got another person hurt. Now he's going to come and...
She started crying, sobbing. Her long hair got stuck to her cheeks as tears ran down her face.
A couple of minutes of crying later, someone came in.
At first, Kazi thought it was Caleb. But when she looked up, she saw someone totally different. Someone that she would kill if she got the chance.
You couldn't see him that well in the dark, but if it was lighter, you can see that he has blonde hair, green eyes, tall, and skinny but strong. Basically your average
"You..." she choked out.
"Yes me," the man said.
She noticed that he wasn't bare handed. In one hand, he was holding something round with a lock, something long was connected to it.
Her eyes widened as she realized what it was he was holding.
"A-a leash?!" She questioned in disbelied.
When he got close enough to her, he took grip of her throat with his bold arm.
She put her small hands on top of his wrist, trying to pull him away from her.
He chuckled lightly, before putting his hand to her hair and yanking her, forcing her chin to rise. He opened the collar part and put it around her neck with the lock making a clicking sound as it closed again.
She switched her hands to the collar part, trying to pull it off her.
The man reached in his back pocket and pushed a button.
Kazi immediately cried in pain, "AAAH!"
She put her hands to her head and started crying, it felt like her head was being ripped apart.
"STOP! STOP IT!" She yelled.
He smirked before pressing another button, making the pain stop.
Her hands were still to her head and she was still crying. She was trembling from the pain. Her eyes were bloodshot, afraid if she closed them, then the torture would return.
The man squatted in front of her as he stuck out a snake like tongue and licked his lips.
Kazi was too much in agony to say anything.
He then stuck his creepy tongue out again and licked the tears off her face.
She winced.
He then pulled the leash to force her to look at him in the eye. She stared at him with shaky breathing.
He smirked, "You go by Kazi right? At least, that's what you told him wasn't it?"
She didn't want to speak. Kazi was too worried about Caleb to do anything.
Too worried and quiet that she dazed off, giving the man a chance to cuff her ankles and wrists together in front of her. When she noticed, she didn't care. She knew what was to come.
Her black hair was all over her face, but she didn't care. She has tried to run away before, she'd been warned what would happen if she did it again, and again. Today was that day.
|Author's POV|Caleb|
The boy opened his eyes, feeling chains bound around his hands and feet, tying him to a chair. He was in an open spaced room, with him in the center of it. To the side of him was 2 bottles of beer, now would be a good time to have some. For him anyway.
A man walked in the room, the same one who shot Caleb and made him pass out.
The mage just looked at him emotionless, no fear, no sadness, no rage in his eye either.
"So, you're her son aren't you?" The man asked, obvious that he already knows the answer.
Thinks he does at least.
Caleb didn't answer him.
"Do you know who your biological father is?"
Caleb was silent again.
The man walked over to the table with the bottles of beer and opened one, he then took a swig out of it, "Silent type eh? Your mother wasn't when I last saw her. She was very... blunt."
Caleb knew how Cana was, she sometimes had no filter. And sometimes it seemed like she loved getting on people's nerves. Apparently, she used to blame things on someone else and showed no sympathy for them. That's just how she was.
In a way, Caleb was like her. But not.
Caleb finally spoke, "I'm not an idiot. I know who got her pregnant. But, fortunately, I'm not that child."
The man took another drink of the beer and smirked, "You can lie all you want, but I know you're him."
"Actually, it was going to be a girl. But she never made it. Cana's drinking problem got in the middle of it, beer isn't good for the baby," the brunette said emotionless.
Almost there, Caleb thought as his eyes flashed a bright yellow before going back to the normal brown again.
"Liar," the man commented.
"I'm not going to lie to you, she's not my biological mother. Hell, I don't even have a mom. But, I do think of Cana and Gildarts as my family," Caleb said.
Got it, Caleb thought as the clicking of the chains unlocking was heard. The chains dropped to the ground, making a loud clattering sound.
"How the hell did you-"
The man didn't finish, he couldn't even if he wanted to. His tongue got ripped out of his mouth, blood was everywhere. Caleb wasn't anywhere near him.
He dropped the beer bottle as he watched the tongue land right in front of him, his eyes widened in fear, he put his hand over his mouth, attempting to stop the bleeding. He backed up into the table, making the other bottle drop. The glass broke as the drink was spilling rapidly.
C'mon! I was totally going to drink that... Caleb thought as he stared at the now broken glass.
Caleb took a deep sigh before looking at the unknown man and said, "Now you're really gonna know what hell feels like. But, you're gonna be way luckier than the man who raped Cana."
The man started screaming as his hand started twisting horribly, you could hear the bones breaking.
And yet, Caleb was just standing there, his eyes a bright yellow. Watching him suffer.

CREEPY CALEB! CREEEEPY! AND GROSS! DISGUSTING!
Anyway, to be continued in "Chapter 24: Sick Bastard"
I've actually had this idea for Caleb for a while now, it's gonna be something big. Yeah, everyone's dead. In that warehouse anyway. They're all just... dead. Except for Kazi, she'll be fine.
