|Gale's POV|

I. Can't. Speak. This is gonna be annoying really fast.

"If you're wondering why you can't speak, it's because I put out the gas particles for Solid Script Magic. Which is well... voice loss." Miza informs me, "It's actually really useful, that way I don't have to hear your screams when I kill you." She speaks above the rain that is pounding on the muddy ground.

She did release a gas, nobody can tell except for Dragon Slayers, only because we have sharp eyes, but even we can barely see the tiny, crystal like shards floating around.

That's also annoying.

She raises a dagger about 5 inches long above her head with one hand while the other hand was occupied putting both of my hands above my head and keeping them there. She says, "Just remember that it wasn't you, it was Gajeel."

'Miza,' I mouthed.

She cut me off, "my name isn't Miza."

The knife suddenly was coming down, I closed my eyes, expecting to feel excrutiating pain. Expecting to feel, well, a knife through my chest.

Instead, I didn't feel anything. I heard the dagger swing down... so why aren't I... dead?

I open my eyes slowly. When they're fully open, I see the small blade to my chest, barely even touching my shirt.

She lifts up the knife slowly, tossing it on the ground, it's slowly sinking in the mud. She holds her shaky hands to her face, covering her eyes while starting to sob.

"I... can't... kill you..." she cried.

She took the gas back in, having me able to talk again.

"Miza..." was all I could say.

"Don't call me that!" She sobbed, pounding on my chest.

"That's how I've known you and that's what I'll call you," I responded.

I can definitely hear Reiki struggling to fight Zeke, something bad is definitely happening. I can also hear Rosemary doing her best, but no luck.

"Damn it," I hear him mumble angrily.

I need to hurry and help Miza so then I can help Reiki and protect Nova.

"Miza, who's side are you on?"

She looks at me with her eyes red, her tears running down her face mixing with the rain.

"I don't know..." she quietly answers.

"Who's. Side. Are. You. On?" I repeat sternly. "The side with your grandfather and cousin, or the side with your uncle and cousin?"

She shakes her head, "I don't know!" She continues crying, "I don't want to go against my family!"

"Then why are you?!" I yell.

"B-because..." she stutters, "He promised me that I could..."

My eyes widened at realiation, I then had a sad expression.

"That you could get revenge for your parents..."

She hung her head, "Nova was right... it's not going to bring them back," she closes her eyes tightly, "I'm sorry."

I chuckle lightly, "I should be the one to be sorry, Sorry that my dad-"

She opens her eyes and looks into mine, "No, I mean sorry for what I'm about to do."

"What are you-"

"I'm so sorry," she whispers.

|Author's POV|

Next thing that Gale knew, Miza had raised the dagger.

But not to kill him.

She went for suicide.

"MIZA!" Gale yelled too late.

The knife was already through her stomach. Her hands placed around the dagger.

"GAH!" She screamed as she stabbed herself.

"DAMN IT!"

Gale flipped them over, his back was covered with a mud layer on the back of his head down to his feet.

He was on his knees, hovering over Miza's nearly lifeless body.

She was still gripping tightly on the hilt of the knife, taking very small breaths at a time.

She opens her eyes the tiniest bit and whispers painfully, "I'm so sorry..."

"Stop apologizing!" Gale ordered, "we have to get you to Wendy!"

"She's on the other side of the wall..." Miza informs, "Rin's walls are almost always impenetrable."

Gale looks up to see Reiki protecting Nova from her brother, the redhead on one knee while the other is struggling to hold him up. His has both of his hands on the hilt of his sword, blocking Zeke's lightning attacks.

Asuka looks completely drained and has bags under her eyes. The gun she's holding is disappearing then reappearing quickly in her hand.

Rosemary is holding Asuka up, having Asuka's arm around her shoulder. They're trying to walk, but keep stumbling while doing so.

"Leave me right here," Asuka tells her, "your brother needs more help than I do."

Rosemary ignores her. And keeps trying to push through.

Zeke can't be this strong, Gale thinks.

Gale runs his fingers through Miza's hair, "Stay with me," he says quietly.

Miza coughs, "I will... just not the way you're thinking."

Gale doesn't respond. He picks he up bridal style and runs toward the wall.

He sets her down sitting up on the wall.

"This is going to hurt for a second," he warns.

"Gale don't-"

He pulls the knife out of her stomach.

She inhales and clenches her teeth.

Gale then takes off his shirt and rips in uneven rectangles. He wraps the cloth around her waist area.

"Stop it!" She screams. "I deserve this!"

Gale just keeps wrapping the cloth around her.

"This isn't going to be enough," he mumbles, "I have to get you to Wendy."

He quickly gets up and walks backwards a ways. He then rams into the wall with his shoulder.

"Stop it!" She yells, "I told you! Rin's walls are impossible to-"

"Would you shut up and let me try?!" He yells back at her, "Solid Script Magic! Fire!"

A word of fire, made of fire, was created and went towards the wall. Nothing happened.

"Iron Dragons Fist!"

"Iron Dragon Roar!"

"Gale!"

Gale kept punching, kicking, and probably broke his shoulder from ramming into the wall.

He knew time was running out when...

He smelled something so very familiar.

Smelled like...

Beer...

|Gale's POV|

Oh thank Mavis that Caleb or Cana is here.

I don't know why, but their scent doesn't just smell familiar, it smells exactly the same.

And then the wall came apart into cubes.

So it's Caleb. Thank You Gildarts for teaching him crash magic.

I picked up Miza and ran to the other side to where Wendy was, still remembering that our enemies are here.

Wendy must've sensed somebody hurt, she stopped fighting a red head chick and turned around.

The red head stopped for a split second and said, "Gah," and disappeared, leaving magic particles behind.

I look to my right and heard Rin yell, "Zeke! He's here! Move out!"

|Author's POV|

Reiki was on the ground, holding his broken leg tightly, sweating while just doing that.

"Just let me kill him!" Zeke said, raising a lightning ball in his hand.

Reiki looked at him with agony in his eyes, breathing hard.

Zeke just looked at him emotionless.

Just as he was about to throw down the spell, a different magic attack was coming towards him.

"Damn it," he said tensely before disappearing along with Rin and Eileen.

"Oh crap!" Caleb yelled, "I was too slow!"

"Right on time if you ask me," Asuka panted, almost passing out.

Rosemary quit trying to carry her and dropped on the ground with Asuka.

Same happened with Reiki, except he passed out.

"Caleb!" Wendy yelled, "I'm going to help Reiki! Use one of your healing cards to heal this girl!"

Wendy ran towards Reiki while Caleb towards Miza.

Caleb knelt down next to Miza, "Card of healing," he muttered, he grabbed a card out of thin air, and looked down at the now unconscious girl, barely breathing. "You should be oh so glad that I even have one of these."

He waved the card over the wound, it shattered as soon as the stab started healing itself.

The brunette looks up at Gale, who is muddy all over, "my healing isn't as fast as Wendy's, but she'll be fine. Just needs a little bit more time to rest is all."

Gale let out the breath he didn't know he was holding, "Thank you."

Caleb's eyes widened.

"What?" Gale said with attitude.

"You just said the 'T' and 'Y' words..." Caleb said.

Gale facepalmed mentally, "You're really thinking about that now?"

K. So, I was originally going to have Miza actually die, but due to the fact that I REALLY wanted to make Caleb a team, I let him heal her. Also, Miza and one other girl will be on his team, but you won't know who it is until I've written and you've read a couple more chapters. It's not going to be anyone you've met yet.
