Chapter 22: Dragon Blood

"What is this about?" Laxus asked as he excused himself from the crowd to talk to Amarah.

"I know this might be the wrong time for this but on my mission, I found some information about Dragon Blood."

"Really?"

Dragon Blood is an illegal magical item, it's a fake Dragon Slayer Lacrima. It is only known by selective members of Fairy Tail and Sabertooth.

Amarah pulled out a picture of a young girl, by the looks of it she is 16 years old. Short blonde hair, green eyes, and a scar on the left side of her forehead.

"Her name is Arya, she's a new member of Mermaid Heel, and she claims to be an Earth Dragon Slayer. There's no reason to suspect that she didn't use Dragon Blood."

"That's gonna be trouble."

Laxus sighed. "I'll think about it later, just enjoy the rest of the festival."

Amarah nodded and went back to where Yaje was.

Dragon Blood first appeared simply as a rumor. No one took it seriously. Obtaining Dragon Slayer Magic in this day and age is impossible. Even if it's through a Lacrima a dragon still needs to be involved.

The existence of Dragon Blood and pieces of information about its need to remain a secret. If Dragon Blood becomes noticeable it will catch the attention of the magic council and that outcome needs to be avoided at all costs. Rumors have it that one of the manufacturers of Dragon Blood works for the magic council. Though this isn't new, guilds have kept secrets from the magic council plenty of times due to its corrupt system. Though there are specific members of the council that guilds still rely on and give information to.

"And our winner is Erza!!!" Happy cheered. "That fight certainly didn't last long."

"Owie..." Nasha groaned in pain, cuts, and bruises covering her body, although the injuries aren't too serious.

"What did you expect." Nova giggled as Nasha was carried by Greige to get healed up by Wendy.

Raiden raised his phone and captured the picture of Greige carrying Nasha bridal style.

"They're so cute." The white-haired mage chuckled as he looked at the picture.

He noticed a presence behind him and it was Laxus.

"What was that all about?" Raiden asked his father.

"Dragon Blood." Laxus briefly replied.

"What about it?" Raiden raised a brow.

"Mermaid Heel has a member that used one."

"I see." Raiden nodded.

"I won't spoil the festival with such news, I'll think about it later, might as well talk to Sting about it." Laxus sighed.

"Isn't your match next?"

"Oh yeah." Raiden gasped. "I totally forgot about that."

------

"Hi, there!!" Amarah smiled as she shook Alice's hand enthusiastically. "How are you liking the guild so far?"

"Everyone is really nice, makes me feel right at home." Alice smiled.

"That's what Fairy Tail is all about!!" Amarah giggled.

"So, who do you think would win?" Alice asked as she gazed upon the battle between Raiden and Greige.

"I hate to admit it, but Raiden has the advantage here. With Greige's water body Lightning isn't something you wanna go up against." Reiki commented.

"I can't believe you just said that," Nasha added.

"It's just facts, there's nothing more to it," Reiki grumbled.

Greige knew he would lose, he just wanted to at least give this battle a try.

He blasted a few attacks here and there and dodges the attacks as best as he could, however, the moment Raiden's lightning hit him. Usually, it could be brushed off, but with his water body the tingling sensation lingers in him, it felt like needles all over, and small movements send shocks of pain throughout his body. He fell to his knees.

Raiden did a motion with his hand and snapped his fingers. Another stream of lightning passed through Greige's body, and it was much more powerful this time.

"Greige is down," Nova commented. "Our winner is Raiden!!"

"Coming up for our finals is Erza Vs. Raiden." Happy added.

"We'll be back after a short break."

------

"Of course, we went easy on the kids," Natsu said as if it were the most obvious thing in the world.

"Yeah, this whole thing is made for them, we had our fun it's their turn," Gray added.

"Oh, I see" Erza fiddles with her fingers, embarrassed about how she acted during the matches. "I didn't think of it that way."

------

Greige, Alice, and Erica walked around town to look through a few stalls they missed.

"Isn't that Caleb." Alice pointed at the green-haired teen by the tree surrounded by children.

"Yeah, that's him, we should say hi." Erica smiled and ran towards him, Greige and Alice soon followed.

"Hey, Caleb." The green-haired teen looked up and saw his friends.

"Hey, guys." Caleb smiled at them.

"Kids, this is Greige, Erica, and Alice, they're my friends from the guild."

The kids collectively said their greetings.

"I ran into Sister and the kids I figured I catch up with them," Caleb said.

"Wanna see something cool." Greige sat down on the grass so he could be on eye level with the rest of them. The kids stared at him with curious eyes and nodded.

Greige folded his thumb and index finger to form an O shape and he blew on it and bubbles came out of it. The kids cheered in awe.

"It's amazing that even after all these years you still keep in touch with them," Erica said.

"Why wouldn't I, they're my first ever family." Caleb smiled.

------

Luke held the gun to his right and aimed it forward. He fired five bullets. Three of them landed on the bullseye while the other two aren't quite close.

"Your aim is already brilliant, Capricorn said you should work on your close combat skills," Asuka commented, eating a bag of popcorn.

"But-"

"No buts!!"

"Yes ma'am." Luke lowered his head, Asuka giggled and ruffled his blonde locks.

"It's a festival, you shouldn't tire yourself with training." Asuka giggled.

"I'd rather train than be forced to hang around them, Nasha has been bothering me all day about it," Luke growled.

Asuka sighed, "You know Luke, you guys are family you should resolve this whole thing."

"I'm more than willing to resolve things with them, the only problem is they won't admit that they lied not just to me but to everyone," Luke replied in a rather harsh tone. "All I want to know is the truth."

"But you could at least try not to put Nasha and Jude in the middle of the mess." A voice spoke.

Luke turned around and faced the dark blue curls of a certain mage.

"Greige."

Greige walked over to him and slung his arm over his shoulder. "Also, quit hiding and enjoy the festival."

Luke sighed. "Raiden is with Master, Caleb is drunk and Reiki dragged Sylvia on another 'date' so I'm stuck with me."

"But you still have me." Greige smiled.

The sweet moment between the two was immediately ruined by Asuka's comment.

"That sounded so gay."

"C'mon!!!"

"Way to ruin it!!!"

------

"Alright!!!" Happy shouted, gaining everybody's attention. "This is the final match, are you guys ready to see some action!!"

The crowd erupted in cheers.

Before happy could speak again, Sylvia walked up to him and whispered something in his ear.

"HE DID WHAT?!" The exceed shouted.

"What's wrong?" Makarov asked, sitting next to the exceed.

"That's such a huge bummer." Happy sulked for a bit before speaking again.

"I'm sorry to say but there would be no battle for today." Happy said and a wave of disappointed shouts came after.

"I know, I know, I'm disappointed too, but Raiden decided to forfeit." Happy added before turning to Sylvia to ask. "Why did he decide to forfeit again?"

"Cause he's tired and not in the mood to get beaten by Erza," Sylvia replied.

"I'm pretty he has a solid chance of beating her." Happy said while Sylvia just shrugged.

"Raiden decided to forfeit because he doesn't feel like fighting so that means our winner is Erza by default!!!" Happy repeated.
