Lucy's POV
After saying and hearing those lovely words from my boyfriend, I enter my house calling out to father.

-Lucy: "Papa! Come greet me!" I yell out giggling like a little cute spoiled brat. After a few seconds I didn't receive a response. "Daddy!" I yell out leaving my belongings in the kitchen. 'He must be working his butt off.' I go up the stairs to give him a kiss myself. I knock on his office door while opening it slowly. "Hey daddy, I'm hom--" I interrupt my words as I see him laying on the floor, n-not breathing? I run over to him almost tripping feeling myself panic. "No no no no no no!" I yell out, not receiving any response. I lean my head onto his chest and calm down just a tinsy bit for hearing his heart beat. The calmness faded almost instantly still realizing he was still on the floor. I grabbed my phone and called Natsu. 'There's no time for a damn ambulance and I can't carry him on my own!' He picks it up almost instantly.

-Natsu: "Aw you miss me already ba--"

-Lucy: "NATSU! COME BACK PLEASE! THE DOOR IS OPEN I-I NEED YOU!" My yells through the phone crack and I burst out in tears, not wanting to say that father's life was in danger.

-Natsu: "Woah woah woah woah woah, baby take a breather, I'm getting out of the car already. DON'T PANIC! I'm going to be there in a second." He hung up the phone and once again, I threw the poor phone at the wall sobbing terribly. I pulled daddy up into my arms, leaving him under my chin and caressed his cheek softly.

-Lucy: "E-Everything w-will b-be f-f-fin--" I tried to finish my sentence but yelled out crying. "DON'T LEAVE ME DADDY!" I screamed. As soon as I did, I heard running footsteps. I turned to find the man that comforts me the most at times needed. "N-Natsu..." I say softly. He ran up to me and threw father around his shoulder, not struggling at all with his weight. I tried to be positive so much but I could only think of negative things. He started running out of the office with me behind him.

-Natsu: "What the fuck happened!" He screamed out with an angry and confused tone.

-Lucy: "I-I just found him collapsed on the floor!" I say in between my sobs. Negative voices filling me in completely.

'He won't be there for you anymore'

'Stop scaring people away'

'First your mom, then your husband and now your dad'

'Laxus has to be regretting coming back, he'll just really die around you' I clutched onto my head, trying so badly to ignore these voices. "S-STOP!" I yell out running slowly now because of the headache.

-Natsu: "Luce!" Natsu yelled out to me, his voice sounded faded. I started to see everything black...

Natsu's POV
Lucy collapsed on the floor, making my heart race the triple. As soon as she did, I heard a voice.

-???: "Princess! I'm back!" Yelled the pink haired figure in front of me.

-Natsu: "Virgo! Great timing, pick Luce up because we're going to the hospital. She must have fainted because of the shock." She dropped all her bags, 'Vacation?' and carried Lucy instantly. We appeared in the car and we both jumped in, settling the two figures down. I turned on the car the fastest I could, and drove off making the tires screech because of the abrupt speed.

"Virgo, attend them until we arrive please! Luce just found her father like this and called out to me instantly." I say to her, half way to the closest hospital already. I was reaching 120 mph almost. 'Good thing I'm a great driver' I say to myself. Arriving at the hospital, Lucy started to wake up having a blank face. After about two seconds her eyes grew wide. "Baby, it's all right. We're here." I parked the car at the entrance of the emergency area and carried out Jude, running. "SOMEONE HELP! PLEASE!" I yell out, grabbing every single person's attention from the whole area. Many medics came running with a bed and took him away from me.

-Medic: "What happened?" I signaled Lucy to follow them as they were  pushing the bed to someplace.

-Lucy: "I-I don't know! I found him collapsed!" She sobs again.

-Medic: "Medical history?"

-Lucy: "Emmm, he's diabetic and asthmatic."

-Natsu: "Baby...please don't cry..." I mumble to myself, feeling my heart break at the sight of the woman I love and her dear father. My father. They soon disappeared from our sight. I shut my eyes slowly, feeling a tear trickle down my cheek. I felt a gentle hand on my shoulder, not bothering to look I continue trying to hold back the tears falling on my face.

-Virgo: "The king-sama is a strong man. The princess will be fine as long as you're around as well." She says in a reassuring tone. I finally glance at her and nodded my head once with a tiny smile. We walked over to the waiting room and sat down. I took out my phone and decided to call the person closest to this family...

-Laxus: "Hello?" I sighed and tried to avoid my un-calm voice. 

-Natsu: "Laxus, I need you to come to the Fiore hospital... Your support is needed here."

I glance up to see Erza walking back and forth in the waiting room while all I did was pray.

-Erza: "What is with this waiting! I want to see Jude Heartfilia right away!" She yelled at the woman from behind the desk. I've been waiting here for four hours. Almost everyone was here. Erza, Jellal, aunt Grandine, Wendy, father, Levy, Gajeel, Gray, Juvia, gramps, Mavis, Zeref 'I don't even know why he's here. He's never even met Luce' , Mirajane, Laxus, Freed, Macao and all of the Heartfilia's maids and servants. Apparently they were on vacation when the incident occurred.

-???: "I'm sorry mam but there's nothing I can do!" After what seems to be forever, I saw a certain blonde walking out of the main hall with her head down, walking weakly. I shot up and ran towards her, soon everyone else was behind me.

-Natsu: "Luce! What did the medics say?!" I ask impatiently. She looks up at me with the saddest face I've seen yet. My eyes widened. She started walking closer to me and fell into my arms weakly. I held onto her tightly in my arms and kissed her forehead.

-Lucy: "H-heart cancer..." She mumbles in the most tragic tone I've ever heard yet. "They can't take him to surgery because it's too severe, they don't think he could survive it and its u-unusual for it to come up so abruptly. He's too young for that damn cancer!" She yells in pain, her face against my chest. "H-h-he..." Everyone listened closer to what she had to say. "He has less than a week to be alive Natsu!" She yells, losing the rest of the strength she had left in her legs. Before she could drop, I carried her.

-Natsu: "Just think like he'll be in peace in less than a week." I say as I caress her cheek softly, pushing the wet hair away from her gorgeous face. "He'll be happy to be reunited with your mother."

-Lucy: "N-no! I'm a selfish person, I want him to be here with me...n-not mom..." She says sadly. I know she really doesn't want to let him go but theres nothing we can really do.

-Natsu: "If he has less than a week, that means they'll let him go right?" She nods her head slowly while still sobbing. I carried her over to the seat and sat her on my lap. "Let it all out baby..." I say as I pull her closer to my chest. After an hour or so, Luce had calmed herself down and started speaking to the others finally. I look down, anxious to see Jude. I felt someone sit next to me, so I look over to see who it was, to find father there.

-Igneel: "I believe you need to have a serious conversation with Jude, Natsu." He says in a very serious tone.

-Natsu: "Yeah..." I start hearing some wheels in the distance, I look over at where Luce had come through. There was a medic with Jude on a wheelchair. He looked over at the group of people, shocked to see so many of us here. After a second, his shocking face turned into a happy one. I got up and went over to him. I look at the medic. "I can take him over to the car miss, thank you." I say to the dark skinned woman. She nods with a smile and walks away. I land my hand on Jude's shoulder and smile at him. "It is so great to see you right now..." I say and he smiles back at me. Everyone gathered around and his smile went wider.

-Jude: "Its nice to see you all. Thank you for your support..." He says lowly.

-Lucy: "Hi daddy..." She says as she held his hand.

-Jude: "Hey buttercup." She starts to tear up by hearing him saying that but doesn't release the tears. I start pushing him out of the hospital and send Virgo to tell the valet parking man to fetch my car. Everyone started saying their goodbyes to get their sleep since it was 2:43 a.m. Since it was no secret that he wasn't going to live within a week, everyone gave him a tight hug and said some nice words. When the car arrived, Virgo and I started helping him get in while Luce was paying.

-Natsu: "So, how do you feel pops?" I ask him as he deeply sighs. He looks at me with an unsatisfied look.

-Jude: "Honestly, I feel like I need to do so much here before joining your soon-to-be mother in law." He says chuckling. I sigh and nod.

-Natsu: "I will try my best to grant you whatever you need." I say as Luce walks over to us.

-Luce: "A-alright, we're ready to leave..." She says, not okay.

I'm now in the Heartfilia library alone. Luce is with her father right now and I wanted to give them some private time, 'Man this place is so boring, how could Luce love reading books like these?' I ask myself. Since I didn't find any action or love books for myself to read, I just went over to the desk and sat down. I looked at the fancy drawers and opened some just to find many pencils, pens and files. I open the last one abruptly, hear a 'thud' and felt something fall onto my shoe. I look down to find a brown worn out book with a black lace around it. 'This must be super old' I grab it, untie the lace and open it. The first pages are terrible to be honest. The first one said...

'This damn child, I can't deal with this stupid girl that killed my wife. I don't want to! I just want to drop her off somewhere...'

And so on. 'This has to be when Luce and her father were on bad terms' I thought to myself. I decided to close the book because this is really none of my business, its a personal journal after all. I put it back where it was, to only fall off again. But this time it fell open since I forgot to tie the lace. I grabbed it and was about to close the book until my eyes lay on a page that had a picture of Luce and her father, happy. I look at it and decided to read it since it was a nice photograph. They must have been on good terms by this part. I start reading...

'I feel terrible for not walking my beautiful daughter down the aisle for her wedding. I just couldn't since I didn't support the marriage but I really do regret it. I want to be there for her.
I want to walk her down the aisle before leaving this land...'

I blinked a few times and started thinking again. 'He wants to walk her down the aisle before leaving...' I stick my hand in my pocket and smile to myself, feeling something.

'Good thing I always carry this around'

Lucy's POV
I'm next to father's bed, holding his hand tightly.

-Jude: "Instead of being sad sweety, why don't we enjoy the little bit of time I have left with each other?"

-Lucy: "I'm sorry daddy... I just can't help myself but feel lost, imagining myself without you..." I say as my voice cracks at the end of the sentence.

-Jude: "You won't be lost without me, you'll have a shoulder to lean on to honey. And believe me, Natsu has a very strong and reassuring shoulder." He says as he chuckles. That sentence actually made me giggle softly, knowing that Natsu will always be there for me. "See, thats the smile I love!" He says. Suddenly a knock on the door sounded and I welcome whoever it was in. I look over to see the pink haired boy that I love dearly and smile up to him.

-Lucy: "Hey honey, something wrong?" I ask because his face looked a little red.

-Natsu: "Y-yeah...I mean, no! Just wanted to check on you guys." He says with a nervous tone. I scrunch my eyebrows at his behavior.

-Lucy: "Why are you nervous?" I ask abruptly and hear father chuckle.

-Jude: "He is, isn't he?" I nod and stand up from the chair I was sitting on. He looks at me and shakes his head as if wanting to shake off the nervousness. His face changed into a determined one. I tilt my head, confused. He glances over at father and smiles his toothy grin, gaining his confidence back completely.

-Lucy: "W-whats going on?" I ask scared if something else bad happened. Instead of receiving a terrible response, I see Natsu leaning down onto the floor on one knee.

'Maybe he dropped something'

'Of course he didn't drop anything! Don't be so dense!'

'No way'

'Yes way'

He softly grabs my hand into his and pulls out something from his pocket, the magical box.

-Natsu: "Lucy Reo Heartfilia, will you stand my idiotness and stupidities, have children with my last name, stand by me and do me the honor on calling you Lucy Reo Dragneel for the rest of the time we live by being my dearly beloved wife?" He lays the box on my hand and opens it, revealing a gorgeous ring. The center had a diamond while the actual ring had rubies and diamonds engraved on them. I could see that the inner side had 'LRD' instead of 'LRH'. I felt my heart stop beating, I felt like we were the only ones in the room, my eyes were wide and teared up, mouth shaped like an 'o'.

This was it. The time I had make a life changing decision. A person must think it's not a big deal since it's not my first time being proposed to, but it is. Because it's the person that I feel secure with. Not only do we have a connection with each other, but also he has it with my father. It inspires me how he brings out my dad's smile easily. Making me love him even more. I moved my eyes' gaze from the ring towards him, seeing his special grin. My head started moving up and down slowly.

-Lucy: "Yes. I do. I will. Of course, anything that's related to yes. For the rest of our lives." My heart started beating extremely fast again. I smiled and shut my eyes, feeling a tear of happiness stream down my right cheek. The warm, warm tear. I felt the box gone from my hand and felt the circular object around my left hand's ring finger. Once I open my eyes, I see my hand in front of me, the beautiful ring shining. I look forward completely and see Natsu pump his hand in the air practically jumping. He wrapped his arms around my waist, lifted me up and started giving me twirls around. Once he sets me down, I giggle happily and give Natsu a soft kiss on the lips. Once I backed away, I fluttered my eyes open slowly. I look over at father and see him with tears as well. "Oh daddy no need to cry, leave the crying to me!" I say with some giggles.

-Natsu: "Leave your crying for the wedding pops, because you're definitely walking her down the aisle." I look over at Natsu and give him a questioning face. He looks over at me and his grin goes wider. "I already have the plans out and you already have your wedding dress. I just need to make a call and say to prepare the plans I made, including the invitations. Tuesday sounds good right? Tuesday it is." He says with excitement.

-Lucy: "So when you asked me about the wedding plans, you already had them set?"

-Natsu: "Yup, wasn't taking no for an answer." I laugh and hug him tightly, feeling another pair of arms around us as well which was definitely father because of the smell of hospital. Once we released Natsu looked at him. "I promised that I would try my best to grant you your wish." He says smiling up to dad. Father scrunches his eyebrows and then realized something. He hugged Natsu tightly again.

-Jude: "Welcome to the family, son."
