Chapter 7
(Y/n)'s POV
I didn't know where my next class was so I just wandered around. Was this it? I went inside. Everyone looked up. I was meant to be in science class.
"(Y/n), you're late by 5 minutes," Miss Olietta (Laki) exclaimed.
"I'm sorry."
"Well, nevermind that. Take a seat."
I took the only seat left, which was beside a guy with brownish-blonde hair. He winked at me. What was that about?
"Hey, I'm Hibiki."
"(Y/n)."
"No talking, you're supposed to be doing the questions on the board."
"Sorry miss."
I got out my textbook and tried to continue answering the questions but it wasn't so easy with a playboy sitting right next to you.
"You know your eyes are like sparkling jewels." I rolled my eyes.
"Maybe you can try to talk to another girl because I'm not interested." He did a hair flick and acted all dramatic.
"Did I just get rejected by an angel?" I looked at him directly in the eye.
"Listen, can't you just understand the fact that I'm not interested?"
"...okay, fine. But it still hurts to be rejected by a beautiful girl." He t-thought I was b-beautiful?
"Hey, you okay?" I snapped out of my trance.
"Oh, I'm fine."
He went back to doing his questions. I sighed and went back to completing the questions too. Class ended. We had morning tea next. I got two different flavoured fruit & nut bars. I went outside to the little park to eat. The breeze was relaxing, the scenery helped as well. Wendy came up to me.
"Um, a-are you (Y/n)?" I nodded.
"C-could you p-please sing for m-me? I heard y-you're really g-good." She was so cute.
"There's no need to be shy. Of course I'll sing for you." She handed me a guitar. (Cross Every River by Maria Arredondo)
*Start*
As I sit here all quiet
Wonder why we're apart
And the noise from the city
Cuts a hole through the dark
As the nighttime is falling
And the day flies away
Can you hear I'm calling
Can you hear me, I say
That I would cross every river
I would sail every sea
I would climb every mountain
If it could bring you back to me
I would part every ocean
I would catch every star
I would cross every river
To be right where you are
Baby, lower your shoulder
And relax for a while
You've been running for ages
You have run all your life
But you know there will always be a part of you here
So wherever life takes you
You will always be near
And I would cross every river
I would sail every sea
I would climb every mountain
If it could bring you back to me
I would part every ocean
I would catch every star
I would cross every river
To be right where you are
Many things I should have done
Many miles I should have run
Many fights I should have won
And if the stars fall down tonight
And all is lost, no hope in sight
I'll think of you and I'm all right
And I would cross every river
I would sail every sea
I would climb every mountain
If it could bring you back to me
I would part every ocean
I would catch every star
I would cross every river
To be right where you are
I would climb every mountain
If it could bring you back to me
I would part every ocean
I would catch every star
I would cross every river
To be right where you are
To be right where you.....are
*Finish*
I put the guitar down. Wendy stared at me with her mouth open.
"Y-you really are amazing!"
"Who told you?"
"Well, I heard from Romeo who heard from his dad who overheard Gray's conversation at a café." Gray was talking about me? A boy about Wendy's age came over.
"You must be (Y/n). Nice to meet you."
"Pleased to meet you too..um..."
"Romeo, sorry." I checked my watch. The bell was gonna ring in five minutes.
"If you excuse me now, Romeo, Wendy. I must be going. I can take the guitar back."
"Thank you."
"There's nothing you need to thank me for."
Romeo took Wendy's hand and I saw her blush. I left and went to one of the music rooms. I placed the guitar back.
"Hey, I heard you play."
"Hi Gajeel."
"Wanna hear me play?" For some reason, I could tell that this wasn't gonna end well.
"Um..."
"I'll take that as a yes." He got a guitar and had somehow changed into a white suit. Um okay? He started playing.
"Shoo be doo ba!" I froze. No offence but his music wasn't that good. I stopped him in the middle of his performance.
"Um thank you for playing but I really need to get to class. Maybe you can play for Levy."
He shrugged and continued. I left the room and went to my locker. I checked my timetable. History was next. I turned around and bumped into Lucy.
"Where have you been?! We've been looking for you!"
"Sorry, I was outside singing to Wendy."
"That was you?! You are really good by the way."
"Could you please show me where my history class is?"
"Yeah, sure." I followed her to a random room. I was the first one there.
"Good morning (Y/n)."
"Good morning sir." He smiled faintly.
"I'm Natsu's brother, Zeref." My eyes widened. Natsu had a brother?!
"I never knew he had a brother."
"He...tends to forget about me sometimes."
"Oh."
I looked down. I missed my sister...a lot. Yeah, I had a sister. She was around Wendy's age. Her name was Miyu. *sigh*
Everyone else came in. Zeref taught us about the founding of Magnolia then gave us a pop quiz on what we had just learned. Class was dismissed after that.
