(Y/n)'s POV

Lucy and Natsu were versing each other. Whoever stood on the - very high - beam the longest, won. Natsu was struggling a lot but Lucy was surprisingly good at it. I bet she was gonna win.

Wait, who was that? Someone put oil on Lucy's feet and she slipped. Natsu jumped off and wrapped his arms around her so that she wouldn't get hurt.

"Lucy! Are you okay?!" She forced a smile.
"Yeah...I should be fine." Natsu's condition was worse than hers.
"Sorry Natsu," she said.
"I don't care as long as you're okay." They both blushed. Juvia was grinning. I glared at her and went over to her.
"What's your problem?!" She just laughed.
"Nothing, all I did was try to make Natsu win." I crossed my arms.
"Yeah right *sarcasm*"
"It's not like you could beat Juvia in anything," she said mockingly.
"Is that a bet?!"
"No but sounds like you want it to be." I was fuming. How could she?! And I thought we could be friends. Guess I was wrong.
"Fine, if I win this, you never touch Lucy again. If I lose, you can go away and I won't tell anyone."
"Deal." I have to win this...for Lucy.
"What do I have to do?"
"See that challenge over there?" she asked while pointing to a far corner. I nodded.
"Win and Juvia'll do as you ask."
"Fine."

We both walked to the mini competition. She stood at the back of the crowd. What was this competition? Archery?! *gulp* I've never done this before. Juvia smiled wickedly at me. I went to the front and got a bow and a quiver full of arrows.

"(Y/n)?! You're entering?!" Levy asked. I fake smiled and nodded. I got in line with all the other contestants.
"Alright everyone, shoot at least 1 arrow in or very very close to the bullseye and you can go onto the next round," Mr Nanagear instructed.

*gulp* Come on, I had to win this. Why was I last?! Everyone took their turns. Some of them got the arrow at or close to the bullseyes. It was my turn. Lucy mouthed good luck. I mouthed back a thank you. I closed my eyes. Okay, I had to do this. For Lucy! I opened my eyes.

"Whoa! (Y/n)'s gaze is fierce!" Natsu exclaimed.
"I wonder why..." (Gray)

I got three arrows and put it in the bow. I looked straight at the bullseye. And shot. One made it into the bullseye. The second one was just on the edge of the bullseye and the third one was above the first one. My mouth fell open. I...actually did it!

"The winning contestants will go onto round 2." Half of us went to the second round.
"This time, shoot at least one arrow in the bullseye in these five targets without stopping."

I looked at my hand and it was sorta bleeding. I cursed myself under my breath. Why now?! I went last again and all my arrows just made it into the bullseye.

"(Y/n) (L/n) and Alzack Connell will continue into the third and final round. Shoot at multiple targets while running."

*gulp* Oww, my hand hurt so much. Juvia was laughing at me. Did she know that this would happen?! I glared at her. Alzack went first. I noticed that he was wearing gloves. Why didn't I think of that?!

He got four out of five of them in the bullseye. I went but only two of them were in the bullseye. I mentally frowned. I looked at my hand and it was bleeding a lot.

"The winner is Alzack! Well done." Juvia walked off. My friends ran up to me.
"Good try (Y/n), you were really good. I can't shoot because it hurts my hands. You're lucky it doesn't hurt," Lucy exclaimed with a smile. I forced a smile.
"T-thanks."
"Are you okay?" Gray asked. I quickly nodded. He touched my cheek. *blush*
"You look...different for some reason."
"I'm fine."

I thought about telling them about it. My phone rang and I used my non-injured hand to get it.

"Hello?"
"Don't tell anyone. I wonder what your sister is doing. Maybe I should go and 'help' her out with her soul."
"Don't-"
"Your choice."
"I won't."
"Good." She hung up.
"Who was that?" Natsu asked.
"Just my sister asking about a maths question."
"It didn't sound like that," Gray said.

*nervous laugh* They kept bugging me about what happened but no way was I risking the life of my sister.

"Just shut up, would youse?!" They looked shocked.
"We just wanted to help," Lucy said, hurt. Oh great.
"Okay, fine. Since you guys insisted." I forced my tears back. I'm sorry Miyu. Please forgive me if you get hurt.
"Juvia was the one that made Lucy slip. I participated in that archery tournament to stop her doing more bad stuff to her but I lost. Now I can't tell anyone or else she'll hurt my sister. Happy now?!"
"Oh, I didn't know..." Lucy said. My phone rang again. Miyu was crying.
"Nee-chan, where are you? Juvia is scaring me."
"Where are you?!"

Her voice got muffled. I ran to the rooftop. She was tied to a chair and had been crying. I walked towards her but she shook her head vigorously. What?! But it was too late. Someone - most likely Juvia - started choking me. I couldn't... *deep breath* I turned around and saw Gray. He looked angry.

"That just lowered my 1% of loving you to -10," he said angrily. She was on the ground, he probably pushed her. I ran to untie Miyu and hugged her.
"I'm sorry, Miyu."
"It's okay, nee-chan." Gray came up to me while Lucy looked after Miyu.
"Thank you Gray-" He cut me off by kissing me.
"I love you and only you," he stated loud enough for Juvia to hear.
