Monstrous flames engulfed my village as my friends and family franticly ran to safety. Houses burned to the ground in seconds, it felt like no one could escape. I watch in devastation as I saw my best friend burn to death right in front of my eyes. All I could do was cry, that's all I knew how to do.

"Satoshi! what are you doing! we have to hurry!" My mother called to me.

She picked me up and held me close. The fire was right on our tail as we ran for the river. I glanced over my mother's shoulder...it was the worst mistake of my life. My father was screaming in pain as he told my mother to head for the river.

"Marian! Take them to the river! Hikaru...take care of your sis--"

Those were my father's final words before an ember of flames engulfed him. My brother ran to us, tears were streaming down his face as he tried to be brave. My mother was crying, I was crying, and my brother was crying. My friends were dead and so was my father.

I kept thinking "Why wasn't it me?! I have nothing to live for now!Father...Ayumi...why did you have to die!?"

All of a sudden, I was wet. My mother had dropped me into the calm river. She was coughing up blood as she tried to speak to us. My brother told me to be brave as the screams and cries of the village echoed through the skies. The screams of everyone burned in my soul. There were too many deaths that my mind could take. This seemed like a nightmare and I couldn't wake up.

"Satoshi...Hikaru..." My mother panted, "Become strong mages...defeat the fire...use your magic..."

"But fire beats grass!" My brother protested, "There's no way we can win!"

"Believe in your sister..." My mother had tears in her eyes and blood was leaking from her mouth...but she was still smiling.

"Satoshi...be brave...join Fairy Tail. Make friends...be...happy..."

She coughed some more, and she stopped breathing, she splashed into the river...and didn't move. My mother was dead.

"Mama?..." I said as I shook her, "Mama?!...MAMAAAAAA!!!"

The tears didn't stop flowing, I lost my Father, my Mother, and my friends...why wasn't it me?!?

Suddenly, the sky turned black...A white light pierced the sky as it rained down the blood of my friends. My brother shielded me as the light grew brighter. Then...I blacked out...

I was only eight years old when my world blew up in flames...

*Nine years later*

Usually I love trains, but this is my first time riding in one. I guess my stomach is not liking it so much. Motion sickness doesn't happen often with me, but the more I thought about it, the harder I held my hand against my mouth. The refreshments lady was strolling through the aisle when she saw me plopped over in my seat. I tried so hard to fake being okay, I really needed this train ride to Magnolia Town.

"Ma'am? Are you alright? Would you like some water?"

She asked so nicely, there's no way I could refuse a nice woman like her.

"I'm fine thanks, It's my first train ride so I'm not used to the rocking of the train." I replied smiling in pain. I hope she bought it.

"Oh, well I hope you feel better soon, Magnolia town is the next stop. Drink some water until you get there darling!" She chirped as she handed the water bottle to me.

I took it and looked out the window. Butterflies raced around in my stomach as I tried to stay calm. The train station would arrive pretty soon, then I could get some answers.

Two little boys were jumping in the seat next to me, Maybe it was their first train ride too.

"Hey mom? When I grow up...I wanna be a part of Fairy Tail!" said the younger boy.

"Me too! you can be my side kick!" The slighter older boy replied.

I keep hearing that Fairy Tail is the best magic guild in the kingdom of Fiore... I hope that they will be able to help me...

The two boys finally settled down when the refreshment lady announced, "We will arrive in Magnolia Town shortly , please stay in your seats until the train has fully stopped. Have a great day!" And with that, the train stopped with a loud shaa sound.

I grabbed my sleeping katana and woke up Rose. She was sleeping like a cat...literally. Well she was my cat anyways. Rose climbed on my shoulder and held on tight. Her dark green fur brushed my cheek with every step I took.

While walking through the crowd, a nice little shop caught my eye. I wanted to check it out and when I went inside, it had everything! Snacks, clothes, house wear...but most importantly...people! To be honest...I actually had no idea where the fairy tail guild was.

A nice young lady was oddly staring at my outfit, so I walked over to her, she might have some answers. She tried to look away as I came closer but she couldn't. She ended up running away from me. The same happened to all of the other people I tried to talk too, is there something wrong with me?

"Hey you! stop making my costumers leave!" the man behind the counter yelled.

He kinda startled me but I wanted to ask him why they were scared of me. Is it my sword? It's still in it's holder...maybe they didn't like cats.

"Why are in here anyways? You don't look like you are from around here..." he questioned

"I'm not from around here. Can you please help me? I'm looking for the guild called Fairy Tail."

"Are you a mage too? You look more like a shrine maiden to me."

This man was starting to annoy me, I wear a kimono to calm me and to conceal my power, but I had no choice. I glanced over to my left and saw a sick dying flower, it kinda looked like a hydrangea, in a flower pot on the counter. Maybe this will make him listen.

My hands hovered over the dying flower, my magic concentrated on the soul of the flower as I closed my eyes. Next thing I know, the hydrangea bloomed a beautiful blue color. It looked like it was never sick to begin with.

"How...h-how did you do that?!" the man asked astonished.

"To answer your first question, yes I am a mage. To answer your second question, I used my earth magic. Mother Nature's children are the ones that I cure. Now, can you please tell me where I can find Fairy Tail?"

"These days those mages will find you! A little while ago, a teenage girl who came to my shop, actually joined Fairy Tail! Business has been great since then!" The man seemed really excited...I hope he's not a perv...

"Really? What was her name?"

"Let's see, uh, oh that's right! Her name was Lucy Heartfilia."

"Lucy Heartfilia? I'll ask around for her. Thanks store man, see you around!"

With that, Rose and I walked out the store and into the warm Magnolia sun. We walked down the street and viewed everything and everyone. Many people were in the town, a lot of nice people too...most of them were nice. A little boy passed by me and said,"I like your cat! It's my favorite color!" I told him thank you and a smile appeared on my face. I think I might like it here.

"You there! With the green flower kimono! come on over!"

I heard a woman's voice coming from somewhere close. When I looked to my left, I noticed that a flower vender was calling me over, might as well buy something while I'm here.

What she said kinda bothered me. My kimono was dark green with red flowers, but I was the only one wearing a kimono so I curiously walked over to her. Rose pointed to some flowers that were behind her, They were brown and wilting.

"You're not from around here, are you newcomer?" She curiously asked with her arms crossed.

"How did you know?"

"I recognize all my customers. I've never seen you around here before."

"Hey miss? why are there wilting flowers back there? Can I help?" I curiously asked.

"You sure do ask a lot of questions for a newcomer. Well, when I got this order of flowers, the soil in the pots were tainted and sick. I didn't know that until it was too late." she sighed.

"Like I said, can I help?"

"I'm not sure how you can but...give it a shot."

She seemed very doubtful of me, then again she doesn't know what I can do to help her dilemma.

"Bring the flowers to the front, I need sunlight to fix the soil."

"Are you crazy?! My customers will be drawn away from my stand!" She yelled astonished.

"Calm down, a wave of customers will be coming to you if you just let me help you."

She looked hesitant, but after a moment of thought she finally brought the flowers to the front. One by one the potted flowers were lined up on the table. They were in terrible shape but the soil was the problem. I guess I could give them a head start.

I channeled my energy as my body began to glow a light white color. People crowded around us as they watched me use my magic. My hands leaked a light green mist as they held onto the wilted leaves. Then I put my hands down as the sun came out.

"Miss...nothing happened...you sure you know what you--"

I opened the water bottle that the refreshments lady gave me and drenched the potted flowers. Nothing happened for a couple seconds, but all of a sudden, the flowers bloomed into shades of red, blue, yellow, and pink.

"A-amazing! Thank you so much! They are so beautiful! What is your name young lady?" The excited woman asked

"My name is--"

"SATOSHI! I smell fish!" Rose yelled before I could finish my sentence.

"Rose! I told you to call me toshi!"

But she flew off before I could stop her, I swear that girl would do ANYTHING for fish.

"Sorry I have to go, Rose wait!" The flower vendor waved to me as I franticly searched for rose. She could have flew off anywhere, good thing I have her scent. Even though her name is rose, she always smells like a hydrangea...she has little to no scent at all.

Running in a kimono isn't easy, I really should be walking but knowing rose, she could have gotten herself in trouble. Her scent was getting closer as I kept calling her name, people moved aside as I bumped into others. Rose? where have you gone this time?

I tripped over my own feet and fell hard on the ground. My body ached, but I found rose! She was fighting with this other cat, the other cat was blue with a white tip on the end of it's tail. It looked like it was wearing a green knapsack on it's back.

"Give me back my fish!" The other cat yelled as it pulled on the fish.

"I smelled it first!" Rose protested to the other cat.

"Rose give back that cat's fish! You can't take what's not yours!" I yelled to rose from the ground.

There was a teenage boy standing next to the cat. He had spiky pink hair and was wearing a sleeveless, gold trimmed, black waistcoat. It was left open and untucked, exposing his bare, muscular chest. White knee-length trousers covered his legs, a thick black wristband was on his left wrist and he wore black open-toed sandals. The most obvious thing I saw was his scale-patterned scarf.

A blonde teenage girl was standing next to him. She was wearing a mostly white shirt with a blue cross that went across her breasts and down her shirt. A simple brown belt held up her dark blue skirt. A black whip with a heart shaped tip accompanied her left side. Gold and sliver keys accompanied her right side and were clinking away on a big round key chain. Finally, she wore black boots that cut off just below her knees. She has a very curvaceous body...I'm jealous...

"I'm so sorry! Rose gets distracted easily, I'm going to keep track of her from now on." I apologized as I stood up and dusted myself off.

"It's okay! don't worry abo--"

"You look familiar...I think I've seen you somewhere before."

The blonde girl was cut off by the spiky pink haired guy.

"Natsu! Don't inter--"

"The flower vendor! That's where I saw you!"

The spiky pink haired guy was obviously named Natsu, maybe the girl was Lucy...

"You're right Natsu! She was the one who revived those plants! Umm miss? By any chance...are you a mage?" The blonde girl asked.

"Yes I am, I use Earth magic."

"Earth magic?!?" they both yelled.

"What's your name?" Natsu asked.

"My name is--"

"SATOSHI!!! buy me fish! I'm hungry!" Rose was still fighting with that blue cat.

"Satoshi? isn't that a guy name?" Natsu questioned with surprise.

"Yes...My name is Satoshi Taker. I'm not sure why...I was born with that name." A sadden look crawled upon my face.

Why couldn't I be born with a girl name like Hanako or Haruka?

"I'm Lucy, this is Natsu and that's Happy." She must be Lucy Heartfilia!

"Are you Lucy Heartfilia?"

"Yes I am!"

"Great! I need to join Fairy Tail to--"

A light-brown figure suddenly flashed in front of our eyes as it quickly ran through the crowd of people. Women were screaming things like, "Stop thief!" And "He stole my purse!" I made sure that I still had my katana on me, it was safely sleeping in it's holder. Thank goodness.

"M-my keys...what happened to my keys! They were with me a second ago!" Lucy was franticly searching for her keys while trying to keep herself calm.

"I'll get your keys ba--" That's all I heard Natsu say before I sprang into action.

I turned my kimono shoes into my special ninja flower shoes and raced through the crowds. The enemy was really fast, but I had a trick up my sleeve. My ears listened closely for the rhythm of my opponent's footsteps as I solved the puzzle of the frightened crowd. More belongings of women were being stolen with every step I took, the train station was approaching and I wasn't going to let him get on the next train.

The crowd cleared a bit and gave me enough space. I timed my magic and focused hard. This is what you have been waiting for Satoshi, don't mess up. My body propelled up into the air as I yelled:

Earth-Make: Prison!

The pavement from the ground sprang up and trapped the thief in a strong cage. I softly landed on the cage as Natsu, Lucy, Happy, and Rose gathered to admire my performance. I did it! I trapped a bad guy!

My prisoner had slick orange hair and was wearing an open, light-brown coat with yellowish fur trimmings on its edges and sleeves, which reached down below his elbows. Below it was a high-collared purple shirt, a checkered belt with a rectangular buckle, and baggy dark pants. The strangest thing I noticed was that he was wearing a tall hat that were the same colors as his coat.

"Jet?! What are you doing stealing people's belongings?!" Lucy questioned.

"You can let him out now Satoshi, we got this." Natsu yelled to me.

I was utterly confused but I guess that they knew this Jet guy. I jumped down, waved my hands, and returned pavement to the way it was before. The people crowed around us they saw the culprit, Natsu and Lucy will have to explain this quickly.

"Droy dared me to steal your keys by running run from Fairy Tail to the Train station and back as fast as I can without getting caught." Jet explained to Lucy as he dusted himself off.

"Well you stole more than just my keys! You stole women's belongings!" Lucy snatched her keys from Jet's hands and other women picked up their things from the pile of stuff that surrounded Jet.

"Sorry, I was running so fast and I saw too many blonde girls." Jet apologized, scratching his head.

"H-h-hey guys..." I stuttered, "I think we should run...like now."

Angry women were starting to surround us, my first day in magnolia town and I'm already in trouble!

"See you guys back at Fairy Tail!" And with that, Jet sped off again.

"Jet don't leave us with them!" Lucy angrily yelled to the already out of range Jet.

"Satoshi, Lucy...get ready to run." Natsu warned.

Happy flew in the air and so did Rose, I guess Happy told rose the same thing. Lucy and Natsu had a running stance, Natsu grabbed my wrist and held on tight.

"On my mark...ready...set..."

"Wait I'm not--"

"GO!"

Natsu dashed before I could finish my sentence. We were almost as fast as Jet! Happy and Rose were ahead of us and Lucy was right on our tail. Natsu squeezed my wrist and ran faster as the angry mom of women chased us. Yeah...I think this is a good start for my first day in Magnolia Town.
