Ice Water is a Good Blend
"Center Ice, eh?" Gray asked as he stared up at the huge sign broadcasting the ice rink. A smaller sign tucked on the window stated this was its re-opening since the last ice was melted down by some fire freak. "Might as well give it a try," Gray replied to himself with a shrug as he walked through the automatic doors. Juvia poked out from behind a tree, her face red as she watched her dear Gray walk into the ice skating rink.
"J-Juvia is no good at ice skating, but for her dear Gray, Juvia would try anything!" She nodded to herself, adjusting her hat as she walked in after Gray.
Gray rented a pair of white ice skates from the front desk, unaware of Juvia following his every move. He sat down on one of the benches, tugging off his shoes as he then proceeded to pull on the ice skates. He laced them on, although he really didn't need them, and walked towards the rink. Juvia hurried to follow him, lacing up her ice skates messily at she wobbled towards the doors. Speechless, Juvia watched as her dear Gray skated backward around the big rink, seeming weightless for a moment as he spun around in the air. Even in the cold atmosphere of the rink, Juvia felt her face heating up.
"U-uh Gray!" Juvia called out weakly, her hands folded and pressed up against her stomach where a hoard of butterflies were starting to build up. Gray almost tripped from hearing a voice, let alone one he knew. Who came to Ice Skating at this time of night? Gray turned around to see a red-faced Juvia in ice skates.
"You skate?" Gray asked, gracefully skating over. Juvia began stumbling over words, her face growing in redder as she tried to explain why exact she was here. "Say no more," He cut her off, stretching out his arms towards her. A silence fell upon them as the girl stared at his hands, "Take my hands, Juvia," He whispered. Her heart lurched forward and, very steadily, she reached out to put her small hands in his. Being as gentle as possible, Gray gently tugged Juvia onto the ice. "Ever been ice skating before?" He asked, staring out slowly so Juvia could get a good feel of the ice before picking up speed.
"This would be Juvia's first time," Juvia whispered as she pulled along, her body warm as Gray spun her around.
"I have another question for you," Gray started and suddenly pulled Juvia quickly so she thumped against his chest. While they had been ice skating, Gray had lost his shirt. "You followed me here, did you not?" He tilted his head.
"W-well, maybe..." Juvia whispered as she rested her head against Gray's chest. The two stayed silent for the longest time, Gray's arms wrapped around Juvia and his cheek pressed against Juvia's head. "G-gray," She sighed contently as she buried her face deeper into his chest.
Gray gently pressed his lips to her forehead before saying, "Let's skate."
