A/N: I'm back after a long hold. Thanks to the pandemic, I don't have to study for any exams. Yay, but that means no prom for me. Anyways, now that I don't have any exams or homework and can't see any of my friends, I'm bored. So, I have decided to continue this. I'm warning you now updates will be slow due to me trying to think of what to write and trying to not have similar plotline as other fanfiction. 

Gray p.o.v

There was no sign of Natsu or the other dragon slayers. With a long sigh, I decided to head back to the guild, hoping someone has found them or have found a clue to their whereabouts. 

~Time skip back to the guild~

Once I was back at the guild, I saw that almost everyone was back. It seems the girls and Romeo have found something. The master calls for everyone who is currently not back to return.

"Listen up brats, it seems that the girls and Romeo have found out the reason to the dragon slayers mysterious behaviour," the Master says.

"What's going Master," I asked

"Levy"

"We found a book in the guild's library and found out that the dragon slayers are going through mating season"

"WHAT?!" Shouted everyone.

"Yea, until the slayers find their mates, they will continue to go through this. From what we have gathered it will only get worse the longer it takes for them to find their mates. Luckily, we know a way to find out who the mates are. From what the book says it has to be someone who the slayer is usually around or have a close connection with. The mate would have a mark somewhere on their body to show which dragonslayer they belong to. "

"Thank you, Levy, is there anything else we should know "

"If the slayers mate rejects them they die"

"WHAT!" Shouted everyone.

"Listen up brats, does anyone have any idea who the mates might be," the Master says.

"I have an idea of who might be the mates, but Natsu's mate is the one I'm having trouble trying to figure who it is, " Erza says suddenly.

"Ok, Erza who are the mates for the slayers,"

"My guess is that Levy is Gajeel's mate, Kinana is Cobra's mate, Kagura is Rogue's mate, Mira is Laxus's mate, Yukino is Sting's mate and Romeo is Wendy's mate," Erza says seriously.

All them seem to blush after Erza finishes.

"What about Natsu's mate?" Lucy asks.

"That's the problem, Natsu's mate could either you, Lucy, or Lisanna," Erza says. She turns to Levy, " Levy is there any the clue as to finding out who the mates could be? Maybe where the mark could be found."

"Let me see," Levy looks through the book quickly, "Ah-ha, I found it, it says the mark can be found on either the shoulder blade, the shoulder or the neck on the mate."

"Well then all those that have been mention please go into the infirmary and confirm Erza guess. Romeo why don't you and your dad go into my office to check," says the Master

"Yes Master," they all say. Soon they're all gone into their respected room.

A few minutes later Romeo and Macao return. They both confirm that Romeo is Wendy's mate. That just leaves us with 6 out 7 mates a counted for.

Another couple of minutes later all the girls except for Lucy and Lisanna have returned. They confirm they are the chosen mates. Now, it just leaves Natsu's mate.

Soon both girls return. Both have different reactions. Lisanna looking relieved, while Lucy looks disappointed. I'm guessing Lisanna is Natsu's mate.

"Well, who is it, by the looks of things I'm guessing it's Lisanna," Erza says.

Both girls look at each other. Than Lisanna breaks whatever staring contest thing they just had.

"Actually, it's neither of us," Lisanna says.

"WHAT?!"

"Yea, it's true. We double-checked, even looked at other places where the mark could but found nothing," Lucy says sadly. Damn, she probably had hoped it would be her.

"Seriously, then who the heck is flamebrain's mate," I said. We all started to think who else it could be.

"Gray, your clothes," Cana says suddenly.

"What! How did that happen" I jumped when I saw I was in my underwear.  I was about to look for my clothes when Erza stopped me.

"Wait, Gray, what's that on your shoulder?" Erza asked. Everyone turns to us. I look at my shoulder and was shock to see a fire symbol. This could only mean one thing.

"Your Natsu's mate," Erza says.

I was frozen still. Does this mean Natsu likes me? I had no idea. Ever since we were little, I had a  small crush on him. The only reason I fight with him is just so I can see him get rilled up, he looks really cute when he gets mad. I broke out of thought from someone shouting.

"NO! That can't be true Gray-sama can't possibly like him, much less be his mate. If he's anyone's mate, then he's mine. I won't accept this. Gray-sama is my soulmate! MINE!" Juvia starts to scream and looks like she's about to cry. Cana and Lisanna take her out of the guildhall, hopefully, to calm her down. I turn to see Lucy storm out the guild. Guess Juvia isn't the only one to be upset by the news. 

*sigh* why does this have to create so much drama. Not only do we have to deal with the missing slayers, but now we have to deal with two girls who seem to upset with the news. I'm so glad I'm not a dragon sl... wait a minute. I may not be a dragonslayer, but I am a demon slayer. Damn it, now I'm going to have to go through this again, at least I know for the fact who my mate, that's only if there is a demon slayer mating season. 

"Master, what do we do now? We may have found the mates, but the dragon slayers are still missing," I said to the Master.

Before the master could say anything, the guilds open. We all turn to see who it was. It was the missing dragon slayers and some girl with them.

A/N: And done. Phew, this might be my longest chapter yet. I hope you guys enjoyed. Also what your guys opinion on the plot twist. I bet you all thought it was going to be Lucy. Sorry not sorry, I don't really like Lucy and I don't like NaLu either. I always preferred Gratsu. Anyways, please leave a vote or comment.
