Erza

Numbness. That's all I felt as I sat alone holding myself on top of the cliff. My flaming red hair was blowing in the wind as my eyes stared at nothing in particular.

They took him. They had taken the one I loved most into custody and I have no idea when I'd see him again. I have no idea what they'll do to him in there. The Magic Council will torture him for what he's done. They don't understand that he was being controlled. They don't understand that he was willing to do everything he could to atone for the crimes he committed.

He was willing to sacrifice himself for us.

"Erza". I didn't have to turn around to know it was Lucy standing behind me. "Everyone's getting ready to go. Do you want more time? We'll wait for you".

My friends. They have every reason to hate Jellal but are still mindful of my feelings for him. Feelings I thought I had buried after the Tower Of Heaven incident.

I don't know what's wrong with me. I should hate him. I should want nothing more to do with him but all I can think about is him holding me in his strong arms and making the pain go away.

Jellal, I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry I couldn't save you.

"No, let's head back". I stood up without facing her.

The girl with red hair. The girl with red hair. Erza..................I feel such a strong connection to you yet I can barely remember you. All I can see is your face and red hair when I think about you.

The red hair that comforted me when I was a child. The red hair and the face that gave me a purpose to keep going on but my memories are so fuzzy. I want to remember you fully. I want to remember us fully but I can't.

You looked so defeated when I was being taken away. Me, turning to look back at you was the only thing that made your eyes light up. They lit up with relief but with longing as well.

You want to come for me. You fought for the council not to take me away and pleaded my case to them, you, and all of your friends but it was no use. They didn't believe any of you.

I'm just glad I was able to help Natsu, I know I did wrong by him as well. Maybe one day everyone you love can forgive me. Maybe one day you can forgive and forget, maybe then your heart won't ache so much.

"Fernandes". I looked down and saw one of the guards standing below me from the square prison I was in. I had an idea of what would happen next. I'd be taken away to an interrogation room for questioning on all the crimes I've committed and then more than likely be tortured because of my lack of knowledge on what I've done.

They won't care that I have amnesia right now. They'll think I'm making up an excuse to get out of paying for my crimes but that's far from the truth.

I deserve to be punished. Erza deserves to heal from me.

My cell was lowered flowed by me being handcuffed immediately as the four walls disappeared from around me. I expected to walk off with them but before I could the entire room was filled with smoke followed by me being sent to a forest where I stood in front of two girls, one with black hair and the other with pink.

"I know you don't remember me Jellal but I'm here to help you, my names Ultear and this is Meredy. Just stand there and relax". Before I could say anything the pink-haired girl Meredy was taking off my handcuffs while Ultear placed an orb in front of my head.

I was confused at first but realized what was happening as my memories started to come back one by one. "Since when do you possess that kind of magic"? "Since I bought this orb from a dealer. Erza's home, Meredy and I will clear your name but it'll take a month at the latest, until then you'll need to stay with her".

"And what makes you think she'll want a criminal in her home"? "Because you both love each other idiot".

It took me a few hours to get there but I soon found myself on the streets of Magnolia with a hood over my head as I made my way over to her apartment. I had no idea where I was going or which door on Fairy Hills would be her's all I could hope for was luck.

If she's not too mad with me she'll let me into at least talk but if it's any other fairy tail members I might not be so lucky.

I snuck my way over to Fairy Hills and made my way to her apartment, thanks to Ultear I knew which apartment number it was and was able to find it without being detected.

It was a normal apartment with a regular-sized bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen. All of the apartments were right by each other so I knew I would have to be extremely quiet as I waited for her to come home. There's a chance everyone could be at her guild but there's also a chance some of them could be home.

I have to stay quiet but that doesn't mean she has to. She can scream and yell as loud as she wants to.

I sat on the bed and waited for her, a few hours later she came home and made her way into the room I was in right away.

"J Jellal". Her voice was filled with shock but there was also worry and relief mixed in. I looked up, her hair was down per usual as she wore a white shirt and black skirt with matching knee-high boots.

"We need to talk Erza, afterwards I'll leave if you want me to but you deserve to know this". "Does the Magic Council know you're here"? "No, they don't". She came over and sat next to me with a good amount of space in between.

"Let me start off by saying I had no intention of breaking out of prison, if it were up to me I'd still be there paying for my crimes". "Why are you here then"? "Ultear broke me out along with her pink-haired friend, I have no idea why they did it nor did I ask them to but Ultear claims she can clear my name within a month and told me to come here".

"It makes sense I suppose. She probably thinks I'll be willing to protect you because of how I acted when you were arrested". "Probably, I didn't except for you and your friends to try and defend me, especially not Natsu".

"He's still mad at you for what you did to me but he knows you were only trying to help". "All I've ever wanted to do was protect you Erza, I know it might not mean anything considering of how much hurt you've had to endure but I am truly sorry for my actions at the Tower Of Heaven, I was completely in the wrong and should have never hurt you like that or have sent our friends out to hurt you and your friends. I'll understand if I can never be forgiven".

"J Jellal you, remember"? I nodded. "Ultear bought an orb that has the power to return a person's memories". What happened next was completely unexpected. Within seconds her arms were around my neck with her silently crying.

"Erza". Slowly, I wrapped my arms around her and hugged her tight. "I've missed you so much Jellal, I thought I'd never see you again".

"You wanted to see me"? She nodded."I've been so lonely since you've been gone. Everyone at Fairy Tail tries to be as supportive as they can but they don't understand. They don't understand what losing you a second time did to me".

"Erza". I gently stroked her hair. "I love you Jellal". I smiled and laid us both down. "I love you too, I'm right here my love". I whispered gently kissing the top of her head.
