I stared out my window as I sat on my bed. I could see the Guild from here. We had plans for tomorrow that all those who weren't too hurt were going to start getting ready to rebuild the Guild. And even though nobody was mad at me, I couldn't help but be mad at myself.

'This is stupid.'

I thought to myself and walked out the door. I walked down the road and just started walking around. I couldn't sleep, there was too much on my mind. Too much guilt. I walked towards the Guild and followed a path behind it. It took me up a hill and up above the entire town, I looked down at the Guild hall and all the debris to go with it. And I felt deep pain in my chest. I couldn't stop thinking how it was my fault. 

'You're useless. Pathetic. Weak.'

I suddenly realized what was happening, but it was already too late. I seemed to become numb from my head all the way to my toes. I looked to the side towards the cliff. I wanted to think, to move away, do something. But I could never control myself. I walked up to the very edge of the cliff, so close I couldn't tell if my toes were on or over the edge. 

I looked out over the water and the horizon. It was hard to tell where the sky met the sea, but if you looked close enough. You could see exactly where it split. My head then looked down off the edge of cliff, and passed my feet. That were in fact over the edge. A strong enough wind would be able to push me off.

'You're worthless.'

A voice in the back of my head called out.

'The only reason you're worth something is because of what you are in a video game. In real life, you're nothing. None of this is real!'

It shouted at me.

'You're are nothing, but another piece to somebody else's chess game. A pawn.'

It told me, and as much as I wanted it to stop. There was nothing I could do but hope it ended soon.

'Nobody will ever love you.'

It said, and then there was silence. It didn't need to say anything else, and it knew it. 

'Those are some beautifully sharp rocks down there.'

It spoke up, and I could feel tears running down my face as I also watched the tears fall down. Down towards the sea. And with that, I followed.
