"You put our sons who are mini versions of their fathers in dragon onesies"mom squealed "and got them to go in public dressed like that as well"Aunt Erza said in happiness "dragon onesies"Uncle Laxus asked amused making us groan and Yuri showed them the pictures and they snickered at us.

Laylas phone rang "Hello my love"a deep male voice said making me narrow my eyes "hey dad what's up"Layla asked "hi dad"Nashi, Nash and Luke said "hey kids"their dad said "so what's up"Layla asked "are you around people you trust"he asked "our boyfriends, their moms and their dads why"Layla said

Wow they must really trust us a lot of they are going to let us hear an important family conversation. My dad and I looked at each other curiously "so dad what's going on"Luke asked "so what I say will need more clarification for your boyfriends and their parents but anyways the council wants to take away your birthrights"their father said

The siblings got pissed which kinda scared the guys and i because they are absolutely terrifying when they are mad "what the hell do you mean they want to take away our birthrights"Nashi asked

"You know they've had it out for our families since your great grandfathers choose their own lovers"Their dad explains "we know that much but why the hell try to take away our birthrights specifically"Nashi asked "and can they even do that"Nash asked

"On a technicality yes they can if the entire council is unanimous and they get enough citizens to actually want our birthrights taken away then it is possible to take away our birthrights. But seeing as our grandparents and great grandparents are on the council it's going to take awhile"Luke explains

"Unless they believe that we aren't doing our Royal duties to serve the people them they will take away our birthrights. In order to keep our birthrights we would have to either prove that we are doing something to help our people or we would have to get married to someone of the councils choosing and we are not doing the second part"Layla said

"I would never wish that upon you"their dad said "thanks for telling us dad we will figure out something"Nashi said "are you guys still coming next month"Their dad asked "yeah"Luke said "you should bring your boyfriends sometime your mother, grandmothers and aunts would love to meet them"their dad said

"Dad you know the rule"Layla said "true I'll see you guys next month. Love you"their dad said "love you too dad"the four said and Layla hung up "I'm confused"Uncle Jellal said

"so our family has a habit of breaking Royal rules. The council is really supposed to make the decisions. But they make decisions that benefit them. Our great grandfathers broke that cycle the moment they gained power. They changed our kingdoms to be in the best interest of our people instead of the council. But the council doesn't like that and they have tried to get us out of power which has never worked. But now it might work because the four of us are here on vacation instead of actual work. So if they find that out we could be in big trouble unless Layla has a plan"Nashi explains

"Do you have a plan"Luke asked "of course I have a plan"Layla said rolling her eyes "it's gone require research on ishgard isn't it"Nash said "of course it is we are going to need to find out what ishgard can offer us"Layla said "does this mean we are going exploring"Luke asked

"Yes that's exactly what it means"Layla said and the other three looked excited "what do you mean what ishgard has to offer"mom asked "well we already know what we can offer from our vast knowledge to our advanced technology but we need to know what the continent of ishgard has to offer us in order to make equal trade and alliances"Layla explains

"Ah that makes sense"Aunt Erza said "so why rule were you talking about"Aunt Mira asked "well in our family we have a rule stating that you are not allowed to bring the person you are dating along with their family home unless you know for sure that is the person you want to marry for life. Which is why you haven't met our family yet"Layla explains

"So we can't meet your parents until we decide to marry you"Storm asked "yes"Layla said "wait if we do decide to marry you how are we going to ask your father for permission"Yuri asked "oh that's a whole process"Nash said

"A process"Uncle Laxus asked "Yup let's say Storm wanted to marry Nashi before he proposed he would have to ask Luke, Nash and I to get our approval. Then he would have to ask our cousins and get their approval. Then you would have to ask our aunts for their approval. Then our uncles for their approval. Then our grandmothers for their approval. Then our grandfathers for their approval. Then our great grandmother for her approval. Then our great grandfathers for their approval. Then our mother for her approval. Then our father for his approval. Then you would ask Nashi for her hand in marriage. And it would be the same for any of us"Layla explains

"What if someone says no"Storm asked "then you would have to start the process again until you get a yes from everyone"Nashi said "why that process"Reiki asked "because our family believes that if someone is will to actually though that process to get your hand in marriage then they are the one for you. If they keep persisting and going through the process then they are for you"Luke explains.

Honestly if I were to propose will I be actually willing to go through that process. My eyes shifted to Layla who looked back at me and smiled. I smiled back. For her I would do anything to make her mine.
