Chapter 1-- Fairy Soul

"What the heck is a Fairy Soul?" Soul Eater demanded, running alongside Maka.
"I have no idea, but Kid told me to come to the library and bring you. Something to do with a Fairy Soul," Maka Albarn replied.
"Here," Soul said, making a sharp turn into the library.
"Kid, what the heck made you want us to come here so quickly?!" Maka said.
Death the Kid appeared in the doorway across from Soul and Maka. His black hair was not as controlled as usual, and he didn't have the skull family emblem around his neck. "Come quickly!"
Maka and Soul ran into the room he disappeared into. "What?!" Soul asked irritably.
Liz Thompson was flipping through a book, scanning the page, then sighing exasperatedly before turning the page again. Her long sienna hair was brushed back behind her. She looked up from her post on the floor and said, "Do you know what a Fairy Soul is?"
"Wait," Soul said, acquiring a thoughtful expression. "It sounds familiar..."
"Well, of course!" Liz responded. "All Weapons know about it!"
"Of course!" he said, snapping his fingers with success. "The Fairy Soul is a soul that everyone has, but not everyone knows about it."
"I can't sense a second soul..." Maka said, confused.
"My father can't even see it," Kid explained. He picked up the skull from a table and fixed it to his shirt right above his sternum. He checked in the mirror to make sure it was symmetrical, then, annoyed, adjusted it minutely.
"Kid!" Liz said, irritated.
"Cock-a-doodle-dooooooo," Patty Thompson said, imitating a rooster from the next room over.
"Rooster!" Liz called.
"Good job!" Patty responded. She started flipping through a vibrantly-colored book with childish pictures and about three words per page.
"We're keeping her busy," Liz explained.
Kid nodded, turning around from his place at the mirror. "Sorry about that..."
"No problem," Maka said.
"Another dimension has Kishins manifesting in it," Kid said. "We have to kill them before they eat the souls of everyone there."
"What's the dimension's name?" Maka asked.
"Fiore," Liz said. "Wizards 'n' stuff."
"Magic?" Patty gasped, running into the room. She wrapped her arms around Liz's shoulders. "Is that true?"
"Patty, go--" Liz began to tell her.
"NOOOOOO, I WANNA GO TO FRUITORY!!"
"Fiore, and you will go."
"So when are we going?" Patty whined.
"Right now," Kid said. "We have to go to the Death Room to the portal to get there."
"Let's go!" Soul said with high energy.
"We have to get BlackStar and Tsubaki first."
"But I wanna go to Fruitory NOOOWWWWWW!" Patty yelled.
"Why aren't they here now?" Maka wondered, ignoring Patty's outburst.
"We invited them, but they didn't show up," Liz said irritably.
"The Star is here!"
"Oh no..."
BlackStar burst in the door, followed by the quiet Tsubaki Nakatsukasa. "BlackStar," Tsubaki said quietly, "we were supposed to be here a half-hour ago."
"The Star can be late when he wants to!" BlackStar said loudly, then laughed obnoxiously. He stood on the table.
"Let's go," Maka said, walking out the door.

"This is Fruitory?" Patty said wonderingly.
"Fiore," Maka corrected her.
"Follow me, we're going to the most powerful place here to see if they can help us defeat the Kishins," Kid said, then zoomed off on his skateboard.
"Wait for us!" Soul called.
A few minutes later, they were at the doorstep of a huge building. A gateway in front of it claimed it to be named "Fairy Tail Guild Hall".
Maka knocked with the hand that wasn't occupied with holding Soul in his Weapon form. BlackStar had Tsubaki as a chain with a blade on it, and Kid had Liz and Patty in Weapon form also.
A young man with pale pink hair opened the door. He took a quick look at the Weapons and jumped back. "What do you want? What guild are you from?!" he demanded.
Everyone in the guild hall turned, suddenly eerily silent. A girl with blonde hair with a small section tied off to the side of her head walked next to the pink-haired guy. A boy about the same age as both of them joined them. He had black hair.
"Calm down," Kid said impassively. "We're here to ask you something."
"Like what?" the girl asked, reaching for a pouch on her hip.
"Help to defeat Kishins," BlackStar said as if it was obvious.
"What the heck are those?" the black-haired boy asked.
"They eat souls. They've infested this region. We read that Fairy Tail was the strongest wizard guild of Fiore, so we came to ask for some assistance," Kid explained.
"Eat souls?!" a collective gasp sounded.
"What's wrong with that, huh?!" Patty demanded.
"Did that gun just... talk?" the girl asked.
"D**m right I talked! What do you expect?! I'm a human being, too!" Patty raged.
"Patty, calm down," Liz urged.
Patty turned into her human form, a bright purple flash accompanying her transformation. "Why should I?!" she demanded.
Liz transformed into a person and held Patty back. "Patty!"
Kid held out his hand. "Would you like to protect your dimension from soul-eating Kishins?" he said.
The pink-haired boy's expression softened. He grasped Kid's hand. "Sure!" he said, holding his fist up.
Kid seemed unperturbed by his actions.
"I'm Natsu Dragneel," the boy said.
"I'm Lucy," the girl said.
"I'm Gray Fullbuster," the black-haired boy greeted.
"I'm Maka Albarn."
"Death the Kid."
"Soul Eater," Soul said, coming out of his Weapon form.
"Liz Thompson."
"Patty Thompson."
"BlackStar!" BlackStar shouted, which he laughed after.
"Tsubaki Nakatsukasa."
"Nakatsu-huh? That's cool," Natsu complimented.
"Thanks," the black-haired girl responded coyly.
