"Dad's right, I have to get out of my imagination. This is stupid after all."
Jimin stared down at the phone in his hands.
She ended things
Just like that
...
again
The fairy felt his hands, no, his whole body trembling, shaking at the impact her words have left on him.
He'd tried to call her a few times after her last call, but she didn't pick up, leaving Jimin in utter confusion.
That is- as much as he hated it, he was pretty sure that he was understanding things right.
Her fucking dad told her to keep studying, to keep doing as he wishes and she obediently followed those words.
Honestly, Jimin felt like he didn't have a right to despise her for that. As a fairy, he didn't grow up with parents, thus he didn't know what kind of sense of owing came along with being a son.
He sighed frustrated, rubbing his hand through his hair.
He hated it, hated her in some way, though he was sure that he'd never be fully able to hate her, ever. But again, he knew why she made this decision, knew that she felt powerless in front of her father.
But she wasn't. She wasn't powerless and she needed to fucking understand it.
'Give her some time' Namjoon had said when Jimin messaged him, 'She'll need a night to sleep about it, this is all going too fast.'
As always, Namjoon was smart. And he, too, cared about Y/N a lot, so Jimin left it like that and forced himself to forget it for the night.
But still, the possibility that his human would abandon him once again kept him awake, until he gave in and stood up, stretching his arm out toward the large mirror in his room.
He needed to go home. To the fairy realm.

"Are you sure you don't wanna do this, Hyung?" Minhyuk asked with wide eyes.
Jimin smiled at the younger dancer, shaking his head.
"But America would be a huge chance!" The younger said shocked, "Especially for someone like you! You're a good dancer and pretty!"
Jimin giggled, happy to see his dongsaeng care about him like that, "I know Hyuk. Honestly, I would've done this. Dancing in the US sounds... magical. But no-" He felt a fond smile worm it's way on his face, "- I have someone here in Korea, someone whom I don't want to leave behind."
"Awww Hyungie's got a girlfriend!" Minhyuk chimed up immediately, earning a nudge into his side.
"No, it's not like that..." Jimin said sheepishly, watching how the younger's expression got upset immediately, "--at least not yet."
Minhyuk's face lit up immediately and he began jumping up and down, "Hyungie's got a girlfriend!"
The fairy laughed as he watched the other dancer getting all worked up.
It was true that under other circumstances he would've totally taken every opportunity to leave South Korea and dance in the US. But not now. Not when he had Y/N here.
He would never abandon her.

You felt dull when you woke up, nightmares having haunted you through the whole night.
34 missed calls
Your heart felt a pang when you saw this, but a part of you was scared to call Jimin back. A very childish part of you feared that, if you did call him back, your dad would storm out of a corner and shout at you for not obeying his orders.
"Finally awake, sleeping beauty?" Seokjin asked when he saw you waddling into the kitchen like a zombie.
You didn't look him in the eyes when you nodded, humming a small 'hi'.
"Gosh, you look terrible." He said, clueless to what had happened a day prior.
"Fuck you too." You mumbled, earning a cackle from the older.
"I'll be going now." You croaked, knowing that this was a shocking statement, considering that you didn't even have your coffee yet.
"Al...ready?" Jin seemed a bit thrown off but shrugged, turning back to his cup of tea.
You nodded silently, beginning to put on your shoes and jacket.
About to head out, you heard Seokjin' voice calling for you-
"Y/N?"
"Hm?"
"If you... have something you want to talk about..." He looked at you seriously, "I'm always here for you."
You once again nodded silently, leaving the apartment without any more words.
"Okay, that's enough." Jin said eventually. You were both busy cleaning up the coffee shop after your shift, sweating up your green aprons while working, "What happened?"
You needed a moment, "What? Why?"
"You've been awfully quiet today. You didn't even yell at a single customer either. What the fuck is up with you?"
Your eyes twitched over to your phone, which had gotten even more missed calls by Jimin over the day, "It's nothing, really."
"Don't lie to me." He seemed kind of angry, an emotion you rarely saw on Jin, "Did you argue with Jimin?"
"No!" You huffed, slumping down onto one of the chairs, "Not really, at least."
Jin sat down in front of you, "Tell me."
"Yesterday..." You began, "I met up with dad, right?"
"M-hmm..."
"Well, it didn't go that great." You admitted, "He kind of... he made clear that I'm being a dumbass for wanting to... quit."
"That's bullshit, but what does that have to do with Jimin?"
"He-" You felt yourself getting really quiet, voice like that of a mouse, "He forced me to break up with him. Said I was getting funny ideas because of him."
"And you did?"
"What?"
"Break up with him?"
"Y-Yeah."
The older looked at you for a really long time before leaning back with a deep sigh, "You're an idiot Y/N. Such a fucking idiot."
"I know. But it's dad..."
"I don't care!" You flinched when Seokjin raised his voice, "You're hurting this sweet boy who did nothing but good to you for what reason? Your god damn daddy issues? He doesn't deserve this Y/N." His eyes looked dark when he said the following, "I love you with my whole heart but you can be quite the asshole. Go talk to him."
You stared at your best friend for a moment before nodding and jumping up, flipping the chair you'd been sitting on over, "R-Right!"
You managed to stumble to the entrance door where you turned around to wave at Seokjin, "Thanks for doing the rest for me!"
He wasn't home.
Fuck this.
You tried to call him again, heart dropping when he didn't pick up.
Your feet carried you to Namjoon's store all by yourself.
Unlike usually, not even those beautiful plants made you feel at ease when you rushed inside, "Namjoon!"
"Y/N?" By the way he was looking at you, you could clearly tell that the witch knew about what happened between Jimin and you.
"I can't find him. He isn't picking up either!"
"Who?"
"You know who!"
"Well..." Namjoon slowly walked around the corner, just to lean against it and cross his arms ever so slowly, "Jimin isn't here anymore."
"H-Huh?"
"He's leaving Korea at the very moment."
"What!? Why?"
Namjoon smiled bitterly, "He got the proposition of joining a dance group int the US." The witch talked slowly, expression blank, "He originally planned to stay here but.... now he doesn't have anything that's keeping him from going."
no no no no no no no
"But I- I wanted to ta-talk to him."
"Well, maybe he didn't want to." The witch shrugged, "Maybe he was fed up with you hurting him."
You couldn't take it. It hurt. So much you wanted to rip your skin off you bones.
Was that how Jimin felt when you left him behind when you were children?
You hated yourself for this. For everything.

Jimin looked back one more time before stepping into the Airplane.
Looked back at Korea one more time.
He didn't really regret leaving this country, never really felt a sense of belonging to here, ever.
But what did hurt was the knowledge that somewhere, amongst all those people, there was a certain, silver haired girl, that couldn't make him stay. One that he hoped would cry when she heard that he left. One that he hoped would have a good life without him, no matter what she put him through.
