Soft clouds, just like pink cotton, embracing me warmly.
White dots of sun sparkling on my skin.
The wind whispering into my ear with her silky voice: "Y/N..."
I felt blissful and content, in a state of peace up here, in these cotton candy clouds.
"Y/N..."
"Y/N FOR FUCKS SAKE!"
A harsh kick against your shin.
You blinked up at Seokjin, who was currently frowning down at you, lips pressed in a tight line while some of the students around you sent you dirty looks.
Sleeping through lectures really was your specialty. And it wasn't even like you had a reason to be as tired as you were right now, the monotonous voice of your professor just being so... tiring.
"I swear, if you fall asleep next to me again I'll unfriend you." Jin ranted grumpily, "I don't want your drool all over my shoulder."
You didn't answer, blinking sleepily, yet having to arise from dreamland.
Luckily, the prof hadn't noticed one of his student almost sleeping in his class and you relaxed slowly again. You really couldn't afford missing out on important lectures like that. Even if you wanted to.
Yawning sleepily, you stretched your arms over your head when you left the room together with Seokjin a bit later.
"Why are you even majoring economy when you aren't interested in it?" The raven haired asked, genuinely puzzled while you made your way over to the small café on the other side of the campus.
"Dunno," You answered lazily, "My dad told me to study something that'll bring me in money later on."
Seokjin snorted, "That's bullshit. Your parents never taught you something along the lines of 'follow your dreams'?"
You shrugged, stuffing your hands in the pockets of your beloved, old denim jacket, "Nah, they're more on the practical side. Money equals happiness." You scoffed, "At least according to dad."
The older sighed heavily, "You know this isn't right, do you?"
You shrugged once more, "I guess so, yeah."
Acting as if you didn't care was easier than explaining the complicated story of how you felt like you owed your dad something after your mother died and thus always acted like the kind of daughter your very practical dad wanted and needed.
"Whatever, I trust you in making decisions that are good for you." Seokjin mumbled when you reached the coffee shop, "You're an adult after all."
You weren't all so sure about that.
"Alright, I'll just get you the usual?" The man asked, earning a nod from your side, before pushing the door to the shop open.
You managed to push aside the thoughts about your unlucky situation, exhaling slowly into the warm summer air, while waiting for Seokjin to come back with your coffee.
Your eyes fell onto a dude clumsily fumbling the condom dispenser a few meters away (which gave you a flashback to the old lady from the day prior). Nothing special, really. Those dispensers stood around everywhere on the campus, since your uni had always promoted safe sex for students like some kind of religion, and many (male) students took advantage of this.
What on the other hand was out of the ordinary was the pastel pink hair peeking out underneath the guys black cap, and the elegant, milky white fingers stupidly pressing random buttons on the machine.
"You need to put in the money first." You provided helpfully, a cheeky grin worming its way onto your face. Your prof would probably hit you right now, because there was nothing there to laugh about safe sex.
"Shut up." Pink-Hair snarled grumpily, turning around to face you with a scowl - kinda giving you whiplash, because damn.
You'd never seen a boy as beautiful as him. Flawless, milky skin, chubby cheeks, beautiful, puffy eyes and soft, cherry-like lips. There was no other way to say it; he was pretty. Not your ordinary kind of pretty, no. The kind of pretty that only hand-designed dolls held, that almost seemed otherworldly. He looked like something you'd put into a porcelain doll house, to keep and cherish it, not something that walks around in the real-world.
But oh, how looks can deceive.
"I know how to use that kind of fuckery you ugly ass dumbfuck."
You flinched, brutally thrown out of your swooning.
"Well didn't look like it, sweetie." You answered, short of sticking your tongue out like a five year old, just because he made you feel like doing it.
The pretty boy scowled deeply, squinting his eyes as he scanned your body (not in a checking-out manner. More a how-do-I-take-that-one-down manner) a flash of confusion running over his doll-like traits, before they settled back to a grumpy frown, "Who are you to tell me that? You look like you work as a cashier at Walmart."
"Excuse you-"
Who knows where this would've gone if it weren't for Seokjin barging in and jamming a coffee cup into your hands, angrily muttering.
"I swear these idiots, don't even know how to make a goddarn smoothie..."
The older pulled you by the arm, dragging you away from the doll-boy, whose shit-eating grin was making you feel like throwing up, because wow how could someone so pretty be so vile.
"What happened?" You asked after you distanced yourselves, wanting to know what made your usually good natured friend like that.
"Could ask you the same." He deadpanned, poking your red cheek, which everyone knew heated whenever you felt especially livid, "You look like a fucking tomato."
"Ran into a disrespectful midget." You retorted while walking towards your next class.
Seokjin snickered, "You out of all people are not in the right position to call someone midget, you pocket-sized dwarf."
You shrugged cackling, slurping on your drink - just to burn your tongue, because of course it was still too hot - mind wandering back to the pink haired boy.
He seemed familiar, in a way you somehow didn't like. Familiar, in way you couldn't grasp and it was frustrating you awfully, but at the same time you hoped not to see that cheeky bastard ever again.
One encounter had you fed off with this attitude, definitely.
"Ready for yet another exciting lecture?" Seokjin announced, breaking your string of thoughts.
Your only answer was a tired huff and a small shake of your head.
