Chapter 1

"Not this one...not this one... there it is!" A grin appeared on my face as I pulled out a white book and jumped to the ground from my place on top of a chair, running through the mansion until I reached the living room. There in the corner sat a young man, his read hair matching the color of the armchair he currently occupied.

He ruffled my hair as he smiled down at me, putting his fat and important book on the table besides the furniture so he could take the one I was holding out to him.

"What is this, little Erie?" He asked as I jumped in his lap and opened the first page, my fingers pointing at a picture of a fairy with golden wings and a golden flower in her green hair. I had just learned how to read and I loved deciphering the wierd shapes that were letters.

"Ah,yes. I read this book when I was a few years older than you are now. If I remember well, it's a legend about a long lost kindom that once resided in the south. It tells a story of a young young girl." He pinched my cheek and I giggled. "Who got lost in the woods, and when the animals that lived nearby helped her survive and took take of her, she decided to use this gift she had and make them all a home so they would never be cold or hungry ever again. So she raised her hands up and up until a beautiful castle, still surrounded by breathtaking woods, was finished. But she was too young and innocent to see the awful greed people had inside of them, and she only realised it when her beautiful land was attacked by an army.

They wanted the magic she possessed and the land she called hers.

Unfortunately, the fury she felt when the humans started killing her beloved friends made her start killing herself. The lives she took soon turned her to a merciless fairy you see in this picture, and the land she created ate at itself and in the end ended her life too.

The humans didn't understand the friendships the girl, now a fairy, gained and how the land would've never been able to exist without the light and love she held in her heart.

In the end, they didn't find anything they considered worthy, and destroyed what was left of a one beautiful kingdom."

I was mesmerized by the story and was sad not just with the ending but also because it had to end. I asked," What was this kingdom's name? It had to have a name."

"They called it Fairy Lands."

"Miss Scarlet. Miss Scarlet!" I blinked and looked at the source of the sharp tone. Oh no.

"Yes Madame? " I asked, hoping I didn't miss out on something too important. My parents would skin me alive.

"Read the first paragraph."

I cleared my throat, looking at the words on a page of a textbook. I needed some time to adjust to the normal language but I didn't really have any to waste right now. This always happened after these episodes I liked to call dreams even though they felt more like memories. That person with long red hair that was the same as mine was my brother, I never heard anyone say it but I just knew.

I did my best to read with a French accent but it sounded unusually strained, an effect those dreams had while they still lingered in my head.

I tried my best to stay invisible until the end of the class so as not to attract negative attention to myself. Mrs. Colton was a very inpatient woman and very strict also. She didn't tolerate lateness to her classes and sent you to the principal if you as much as coughed in the wrong moment or sneeze too loudly for her liking.

I can bet my right arm Miss Devon, our young and quite attractive pricipal (if I may add) , had at least five students coming to her over something stupid as accidentally dropping a pen to the floor.

To say Mrs. Colton, a french lady og high class thank you very much , was a nut job would be an understatement. Huge huge understatement.

The bell rang and the whole class found it their life mission to get out of there before she decided to get them and give them some insane assignment that couldn't physically be finished by the time she wanted it to be. Not that she always did that, but Friday was a must.

I glanced pitifully at Frenie Greshornish, a shy and small blonde girl that looked like she was about to fall unconscious in front of the teachers desk.

"Her Erza you coming to my party?" A voice sounded behind me and I rolled my eyes, opening the green locker and pulling out my backpack which I stuffed full of books like I was hungry like a wolf and it was a sandwich.

"No, I am not Frederick. " I turned around and found myself unable to move because of his body blocking my way. "I never do and you always ask. How many times must I releat myself until you get it."

Suddenly he was pushed out of the way as the shortest and the blondest girl I have ever met approached me with a smile.

"Hey Er wanna go to the cinema tonight? "

"Yeah sure." I agreed.

"Wow. Just wow. How old are you two, seventy? You seriously chose cinema over an awesome teen party?"

We ignored his comment as we made our way out of the building. I shivered at the coldness of air and cursed myself for wearing such a thin jacket.

I turned my head slightly when I felt a warm piece of clothing fall over my shoulders, and my eyes met green ones. They belonged to the quiet and non social boy that always sat in the back of classrooms and never got any question wrong when teachers asked him, but he also never raised his hand even though he obviously knew the answers. He was totally weird and when you add the strange blue hair to the mix you get a person I didn't find interesting as company.

I thanked him and wrapped the jacked more tightly around myself, but he only nodded and went off to his car.

"Well that wasn't weird at all." Regina commented, but I just shrugged it off and we continued our journey to my house.

I was surprised when my mum greeted us in the kitchen, but didn't question it when I smelled the food. As long as she doesn't seem sad or worried while staying home I am fine.

I left Regina in my room to Skype with her boyfriend while I went to the bathroom to wash my hands. I was humming to myself, but stopped when I didn't recognise the melody. I sang again, this time a little louder, but it was still unfamiliar yet carved in my brain.

Instead of thinking I let the words exit my mouth by themselves, and even though I didn't recognise the language I knew it was an hymn. But I didn't know what for.

Turning off the water, I made my way to the door when something about the mirror seemed different that usual and I looked at it closely. There was just one word scribbled on it." GO"

I shuddered but ran to my room, opening the door like nothing happened and waited until Regina's eyes met mine.

"How about we go to that party after all?"
