Chapter Fifteen

~Third Person~

A new day dawned on the facility, as Wendy woke up. She looked outside their superplastic covered windows. "It's hideous." Wendy sighed, her own mother was disgusted with her because developed her own condition for apparently, 'betraying' her family. When she, in reality, did it all to please her mom. Wendy hears a knock at her door, and she let out a sigh. "Come in."

"That kind of sounded genuine so I hope you don't mind me barging in." a white haired nurse peeked in. "Uh, I'm here with your pills?" she smiled as Wendy nodded.

"I know the drill " the nurse stepped in and handed the two containers to Wendy who swallowed them both the minute she grabbed them.

She handed them back to the nurse who bowed then walked out. Wendy sighed and looked at the cold floor. She put her small foot on the cold floor and jumped down on the floor. She walked towards her door and opened it only to see Romeo standing in front of his door. "What's happening..?"

"Room search didn't ya hear you stupid kid." Romeo snapped.

"Oh, you're so nice!" Wendy coughed as she got out of her own room and closed the door, then lined up on the wall with the others.

Before they knew it they saw Laxus walking out of Levy's room as Gajeel attempted to hold her back. "NO I'M NOT DONE!" Levy let out a whine.

"Oh, Levy..." Erza laughed shakily as Juvia gave her a look.

"Erza-san... are you okay? You're shaking..." Juvia looked at the red head who began laughing.

"Oh, you didn't." Gray glared at Erza who let out an awkward giggle.

"Hey!" everyone jumped and saw counselor Gildarts with a pissed off face.

Erza jumped and began shaking excessively. "What's wrong, Gildarts?" Ultear ran over to him and gave a disgusted look.

'I'm so in trouble, oh god end my life no no no.'  Erza was shaking very badly when Gildarts let out a cry. "This is where my sandwiches have been going!"

"Sandwiches...?" Levy mumbled as Gildarts let out an outraged scream.

"WHO DARE. TOOK OUR. SANDWICHES." Gildarts slammed the door to see crystalized moons painted on the door.

Arina walked into the hallway, her eyes fixated on a saran wrapped thing they couldn't identify, she looked up and saw the massive amounts of people in the hallway and began slowly backing up. "Arina! You got out of the infirmary?" Lucy cheered as Arina began backing up slowly.

"Hey! That's my sandwich!" Ultear yelled as she clenched her fist.

"MISSON ABORT!" Arina screamed and threw the sandwich at Ultear's face and bolted off.

"WHY THAT LITTLE RUNT! AFTER HER!" with that Gildarts, Ultear and Alzack ran after Arina who ran off as the kids pinned up against the wall questioned what the hell just happened.

Erza herself let out a sigh of relief. "Remind me to thank Arina later for saving me." Erza clutched her stomach as her anxiety slowly went away.

"Scar...Erza.. is there something in your room?" Levy glared at Erza. Erza shook her head and ran into her room, slamming the door behind her.

Levy walked up to the door and attempted to open it, as she shook the knob. "ERZA ROSETTA SCARLET OPEN THIS DOOR!"

"You know her middle name?" Natsu questioned as Levy laughed.

"Of course I do, she's my best friend!" Levy smiled as everyone gave her a look, and Levy shrugged.

"Anyways. I'm hungry, and I don't want that crap they attempt to call food." Gajeel scoffed and folded his arms.

"Hey, there is always Arina's sandwiches..." Lucy mumbled looking at the room with sandwiches piled on the bed.

"I think she, being the good pal would want us to eat good...." Natsu drooled looking at the mountain of homemade sandwiches.

Meanwhile, Arina hid on the staircase going up to the special containment hiding from the counselor's who were running after her. She took a deep breath and walked down towards the normal floor as she felt a hand on her shoulder.

Arina began shaking uncontrollably as she forced herself down the stairs. Landing on the floor she curled up in a ball. She was alone. She was clearly vulnerable. He was going to come for her, he always would come for her. "Ah... Ms. Cresent?" Arina shot up and looked behind her, as tears clearly fell down her pale face.

Her counselor Meredy stood there with a crooked smile, "Sorry. I didn't mean to startle you. You're just not supposed to go up there." Meredy rubbed the back of her neck.

Arina stood up and wiped her tears and gave a soft smile. "I know, I was just hiding from someone, see you when its counseling time!" Arina ran off, she darted around a corner and ran off out of Meredy's sight.

'Man, I didn't really mean to scare her.'  Meredy sighed, she shrugged and walked off towards the first-floor stairs.

Arina darted around another corner and immediately hit something, as two people let out a cry. "N-No someone touched me someone touched me!" an unknown voice to Arina cried.

She looked up and saw a girl with long black hair sitting there freaking out. "Oh, I-I am so s-sorry. I wasn't watching where I was going...forgive me...." Arina mumbled as she stood up and held out her hand hesitantly. "I-I am...I am Arina." Arina said as her voice shook.

Jessie looked up as the girl rubbed her head aggressively with her many mitten-covered hands. "U-Uh. I am Jessie..." the girl looked up at the slightly smaller one who was shaking. "Are you okay. Arin-whatever?" Jessie asked as she still rubbed her forehead.

'I'll be fine..' Arina mentally mumbled. 'As long as he cannot find me I am safe.'  "Do you need help up?" Jessie hesitated, but then grabbed her hand as Arina lifted her up no problem. "So uh, what are you in for.." Arina whispered, she wasn't good with people but she needed people or she would be vulnerable.

"Haphephobia," Jessie said awkwardly, as Arina hesitated for a moment. Her face immediately painted itself with an apologetic look.

"Oh, I'm so sorry.." Arina said shakily. Jessie stared at the girl trembling beside her with a contested train of thought. "I-I'll just go.."

"No, it's, it's fine." Jessie breathed out, it really wasn't, but this girl looked like she was beating herself up about it, badly. "How about you?"

"Insomnia. Isolophobia. Crippling depression. Social anxiety." Arina silently laughed. Jessie was oddly silent, looking over to Jessie Arina noticed the girls face filled with pity. Arina gave a crooked smile. "I don't need your pity, I've had enough in my lifetime."

"It's just, those all overlap terribly." Jessie shrugged as she rubbed the back of her neck.

"That's kind of why I'm here." the two stood in silence till Arina spoke once more, her voice sounding softer than she has ever been. "I think I'm gonna retreat to my room for food, I'll see you later Jessie.."

"Wait, your room?" Jessie gave Arina a look as the small girl turned on her heel with a laugh.

"They don't lock the lounge enough."

¤GROUP SESSION¤

Meredy took a look at the three girls around her. No one said a word. Arina sat curled up, as Jessie was shifting uncomfortably and Juvia was biting her lip. 'Finally,' the pinkette broke the silence.

"So how is everyone doing today?" Meredy laughed awkwardly, as she tapped her pen to her clipboard. The three teens did nothing but curl closer into their bean bags as Meredy let out a sigh. She knew this was going to be a bad idea, starting the group session so fast without time to know their comforts. "So, how do you like my office?" Meredy painted a smile on her face.

"This is Meredy-san's office?" Juvia tilted her head as the other two nodded.

She was not wrong, it didn't look much like a counselor's office. The walls were pink and the didn't have any desks, she had exactly four beanbag chairs and a little sakura kotatsu that's around them. She had book shelves which held her files above her window in the back, which allowed her to see traffic and cars passing over the cloudy sky, but normally it was covered by blue curtains.

"Yeah. Quite roomy isn't it?" Meredy said as she hugged the clipboard to her chest.

"I feel like, a lava lamp would make it look cooler," Arina whispered as Juvia looked at the smaller girl.

"Like a big one or a small one?"

"Two big ones would be pretty cool," Jessie responded as Meredy mentally let out a sigh of relief.

'We're finally getting somewhere.'

They all fell silent till Meredy spoke up. "So uh, this is the group session. It's a place where I ask questions and you guys can just chat, in fact, you can act like I'm not here. I just have to take notes and say how you guys are doing."

"So, nothing leaves this room?" Arina asked as Meredy nodded, and everyone fell silent once more.

Juvia took a deep breath in before looking down at her hands. "So, have you ever felt like your whole existence was a mistake?" they all looked at Juvia who shrank down before anyone could answer she started again. "Sometimes Juvia feels like, no one really likes her. Juvia, sometimes gets unmotivated to do things cause she knows no one really likes her.. and sometimes Juvia wonders, why do people lie to Juvia? Giving Juvia false hope, and feeding Juvia with lies. It just, it just--" the bluenette broke out in tears.

Meredy's face shifted into confusion, as she couldn't decide if she should write this down or calm Juvia. "I mean, I don't know you that well, but I think you're pretty cool and that maybe you're just over thinking things?" Jessie shifted uncomfortably.

"I mean, what does it matter? If you think you're cool who's to say you're not? I don't think anyone would continue to talk to you if they hated you." Arina blurted out, she then jumped and sank down into her bean bag.

"Juvia.." Juvia took a deep breath in. "Juvia. Doesn't think she's cool. Juvia actually, truly hates herself." Juvia pressed her palms to her eyes to keep her tears from staining her cheeks. "Juvia is sorry. Juvia didn't mean to start showing emotions." sniffling the bluenette stood up. "Juvia should probably go." she shuffled towards Meredy's door and swung it open, before leaving not forgetting to softly close the door behind her.

"Shouldn't you have, done something?" Jessie gave Meredy a look as the pinkette jumped a bit.

"Oh yeah sorry, I-I forget this is sometimes my job, u-uh. Group session over, I guess." Meredy slammed her face on the kotatsu.

Arina and Jessie looked at each other, before leaving themselves.

"I kind of, get Juvia, though." Arina silently laughed to herself. "I, all the people I knew fakely liked me. They just used me.." Arina's voice was shaking as she bit her lip. It felt like she was about to pass out as memories came flooding back

"I... wouldn't know, I'm very sorry to hear that," Jessie mumbled.

Arina took a step, before blacking out as Jessie panicked, and attempted to stop her from hitting the floor.

¤GYM¤

Wendy struggled not to look disgusted as she saw Romeo up against the wall with the other patients. She didn't hate him, it's just every interaction they always never got along. Romeo turned his head at the sight of her bright blue twin tails, and let out a cough. "Oh look, it's the brat." he spat.

Wendy debated if she should use a snarky comeback or not, and finally decided on just giving Romeo a glare and stood on the wall far away from him. Romeo gave her a glare back as they both stood in silence. Finally, Laxus walked outside with a clipboard and a whistle. "Alright. Stretches, then six laps around the courtyard." he flashed a toothy grin as they all silently groaned among themselves.

"Oh hey! You're Wendy right?" Lucy walked over to the small bluenette who gave her a look.

"No." realizing what she said she quickly attempted to change her response. "I mean, I don't mean-- ugh." she nodded instead of attempted with her words.

"Oh, I see." Lucy shifted before she gave the girl a soft smile. "I'm Lucy, I was just wondering how you're doing y'know after all that, things..." she paused then gave a giggle. "I don't think that was English."

"Oh, I'm doing terrible," Wendy said softly, then slapped herself.

"It's fine, I get it. I mean, maybe I do? At least I think." Lucy gave Wendy a smile. Romeo loudly growled as the busty girl simply rolled her eyes. "Is he bothering you?" she whispered as she leaned into the blunette girl.

"Yeah." shrugging Wendy whispered back to the girl. "He's just not really moody." Lucy laughed as Wendy smiled back, meanwhile in the background Romeo scoffed.

"Stupid girls."
