Chapter 7
Inside a dimly lit room of Yoongi's house, a person blinked his green eyes as he sensed a signal. He was sure it was from the young monarch and he could tell that the other might be in danger.
He walked out of his room and headed to Yoongi's room where the flower was kept. Originally, it was kept in the kitchen but he moved it back to Yoongi's room before Jin actually took notice of it.
He saw the flower breathing in normally and he felt relief despite the loss of colour. At least, it meant that nothing serious happened to the king.
"I'm sorry I haven't greeted you yet, your majesty but I do not wish you to see how I look like as I know it might become harder for you to bear."

Jin and Yoongi returned back home safely. There wasn't any incident so the walk back was rather smooth.
They headed to their own rooms and took a quick shower as well as changed into a comfier outfit. Once Jin was done, he headed down and saw the table was already being set.
There wasn't much to talk about and they ate their dinner quietly. It wasn't awkward. Instead, they appreciated the presence of each other.
Jin wanted to help Yoongi wash the dishes and the latter was stubborn about not letting him do it. In the end, Jin had to sit back in his own room after being scolded by Yoongi for not listening.
He didn't know how Yoongi had the guts to even scold him despite knowing that he was the king of Wonderland. However, he also couldn't understand why he didn't mind being talked in such a manner by Yoongi. In fact, he enjoyed the absence of formality.
He knew it was going to be another sleepless night. He didn't have much to do in his own room as well.
As if on perfect timing, Jaehwa's face appeared in his head. The way they met at the doorway and how she fell into his arms. The way she smiled and the way she helped him escape without knowing the truth.
All of those caused his heart to beat even faster. His heart was violently hitting against his chest and he had this strange sensation like butterflies dancing in his stomach.
"Why did she suddenly appear in my head?" he mumbled quietly.
He really appreciated her gestures but he didn't wish to be any closer. For he knew, humans can never be trusted. Even now, he still had his suspensions on Yoongi.
It was rather tedious to not be able to sleep but he didn't have a choice. He laid on the bed and closed his eyes, hoping to fall asleep.
Few minutes later, he was already out of his room. He wanted to find something interesting to keep himself entertained. The house was quiet so he believed that Yoongi had fallen asleep but the door was actually opened and the room was empty.
He didn't want to invade another person's privacy but curiosity had taken over him. The room had shelves filled with various books. Variety of plants were potted and situated on the table. He noticed one was drying up. It was a rare plant and he wondered how Yoongi actually got his hands on it.
Jin walked over and brushed the flower. The air around it became cooler and lighter. The petals started livening up with colours and it straightened up.
After changing the humidity similar to Wonderland, Jin took the plant and placed it near the window where the moonlight shone.
From the corner of his eye, he noticed a photo. He turned and picked it up. The glass was shattered. The photo was torn and the corner was burnt. It was a family photo. Approximately 7 year old Yoongi held a younger boy's hand. What caught Jin's attention was that the other boy's left eye was purple. Jin assumed them to be siblings but they didn't look alike.
Behind them stood a couple who should be their parents. The man's photo was torn away hence his face couldn't be seen. What shocked Jin was that the lady had both purple eyes.
"What is the meaning of this?" he thought as he placed the frame down. Just as he placed it, another photograph dropped from the cracks.
Jin knelt down to pick it up. His eyes widened when he saw three boys happily grinning at each other. Two were Yoongi and his younger brother. Another was a smaller boy with blonde hair who had green eyes.
Jin's attention was stolen by Yoongi who had appeared from the back with a cup of coffee.
"What are you doing here?"
Jin swallowed his saliva nervously as he was caught red handed.
"I..."
"Looks like you couldn't sleep without the flowers after all."
"You knew?"
Yoongi nodded and walked over to his table to place the cup. He noticed the king holding onto his photographs.
"That's my family photo."
Jin mouthed an 'oh' and studied the pictures again.
"You had a coloured eyed mother?"
"That's not my mother."
"What?"
Yoongi let out a sigh and took the photos to put it back to its original place.
"My mother died when she gave birth to me and that lady is the person my father remarried. Not that I have any problem since she treated me like her own son. But she passed away as well due to an experimental failure."
"Experimental failure?! Does that mean-"
Yoongi nodded his head.
"She was captured by the officers."
"Then, what about this boy?"
Jin pointed at the boy with purple eye.
Yoongi hesitated to answer as his heart felt heavy. Seeing the photo of his younger brother made him feel guilty.
"H-he's alive but not well."
"Captured?"
"No. He's living with my father."
Jin was going to ask more questions but Yoongi cut him off.
"Enough questions for the day."
Jin wanted to continue but he just complied as he noticed how Yoongi's expression fell when he heard the questions relayed to him.
He still needed to ask as to why the father's picture was ripped, why the boy wasn't well and the green eyed boy. He decided to ask them when Yoongi decided to allow him.

There was a piercing wail that came from the living room of a huge mansion. There was a group of men in black suits who stood, surrounding a tied man who had yellow coloured eyes that were dimming.
On the sofa, a man was seated and just beside was a boy with an eye patch who was nervously standing. The sight he was seeing made him feel numb and dried his throat. No matter how many times he had seen it, it still killed him inside.
The man glanced at the boy and then at the work his men had done. They bowed at him.
"What should we do next, President Min?"
Min raised his hand to gesture them to take the tied man away. They held that man by his arms and brought him away. He stood up once only him and the boy was left.
The boy dropped onto his knees and puked onto the floor. He was extremely shaken by what had happened.
"You just can't get used to it. You are useless. Your mother died for you and yet you are so weak. If anything happened, it's all up to you. Don't involve me, Taehyung."
With that, he left the room.
Taehyung is the son of the president and the younger brother of Yoongi. As his mother was a purple eyed person, he was born as a half breed and had one purple eye.
However, he was in between as he was born in the human world instead of Wonderland due to circumstances. He cannot change his eye colour and had to wear an eye patch to disguise himself. He did give off a human aura but he cannot handle heat as well. He had ability but he couldn't use it to the fullest.
"Hyung... how long more?"

Once again Jin was stuck inside Yoongi's office as Yoongi had to perform surgery. Yoongi allowed Jin to go anywhere in the hospital as it would be hard for a normal person to differentiate a green eyed from a human. That was the advantages of being part of a royalty. Also, he had confirmed that there won't be any officers coming to the hospital.
Jin had been in Yoongi's office the entire day and he had gotten bored.
With nothing to do, he thought stargazing would at least keep him entertained for the remaining long hours and went to the rooftop.
Even though it was not very late into the night yet, the sparkling stars had already spread out in the dark blue sky, filling every space of the canvas. The round moon shone in the middle to mark its own presence and lit up the dim world. Like art, the nature once again painted the night sky with different dark colours that looked fabulous and appeased the eyes of the living. Another masterpiece presented by the universe.
Jin was so immersed in admiring the sky that he didn't notice a person standing beside him.
"Beautiful, isn't it?"
The sudden voice surprised Jin and he turned around to meet with Jaehwa's face. Jaehwa was shocked as he suddenly turned around and realised how close they were when their noses touched.
She gasped and stumbled backwards. Luckily, Jin caught her on time.
She looked up and immediately felt a sense of déjà vu. Jin held her safely and their eyes were drawn to each other.
"Sorry," she apologised. She cleared her throat as she balanced herself on her two feet, "And thank you," she blushed.
"Your welcome," Jin replied and let go of her hand.
After that he just sat down on bench again and stared at the view. Jaehwa joined beside him and Jin moved a bit. Noticing that Jaehwa had moved closer, Jin moved away again. The two continued until Jin reached the end.
"Not uncomfortable with ladies?" she teased.
"It's not that," Jin retorted, "It's just..."
He didn't know how to continue. Telling her that he's not from this world and that she's a human would just meant that he was willingly exposing his identity.
She giggled and decided to change the topic. He decided to let the other off.
"Do you like the night sky?"
Jin turned to her and nodded.
Jaehwa smiled and placed the book that she had been holding onto her lap. Jin saw her flipping the pages and turned to look at the book.
He saw that it was about Wonderland.
"What do you think about them?"
"Pardon?" Jaehwa looked at Jin after hearing his question.
Jin pointed to the object in her hand, "That book."
"Ah. Did you read it too? Interesting, isn't it?"
"Do you hate them?"
"The people from Wonderland?"
Jin nodded his head to confirm the question.
Jaehwa hummed as she thought of his question.
Jin knew how humans thought of them; mad creatures. He couldn't figure out why Yoongi was willing to help him. He knew he shouldn't raise his hopes but he just wanted to know if all humans had the same thoughts. Seeing how Jaehwa had read that story, he wanted to know her opinion of them... of him.
"Well, I would be lying if I say that I'm fond of them."
"Of course," Jin agreed although it did ache his heart. They were enemies after all.
"But that doesn't mean I hate them either. To be completely honest, they are beautiful people. Perfect to be my muse."
"What? Aren't you scared of them? They possess powers and some of them had-"
"So?" She cut him off.
Jin stared at her blankly.
Jaehwa didn't know he would react this way and she found him even more interesting.
"Not all of them are the same, right? At least, that's what I believe so."
Jin's heart played a complicated yet beautiful beat in a strange rhythm. He didn't know why he kept having this strange sensation in his chest. He felt weird but warm.
Gradually, something beautiful was starting to bloom in his heart.
