Chapter 12
After finishing his duty, Yoongi immediately dragged Jin home. Jimin was reading a book when they had arrived. He was shocked by the slamming of the door and diverted his attention to them.
Yoongi dropped his bag on the nearby table and turned to Jin. He folded his arms.
"Why did you leave without telling me?"
"I couldn't say no... It would bring suspicion."
"That is true but you should've at least told me."
Yoongi knew that what's done was already done. However, there was still something he was worried about and he hoped that his intuition was wrong.
"Did anything happen? Why did Jaehwa faint? D-did anyone find out?"
Jin looked down to his feet in guilt as he hesitated to answer. That answered Yoongi's question and he muttered a curse under his breath.
"So, Jaehwa saw. Who else did?!"
"None... I've erased their memories."
Yoongi gasped, "So, something really did happen!"
"They were bothering Jaehwa," Jin reasoned.
"You should be worrying about yourself."
Jin knew that it was wrong of him to have left without telling Yoongi but he couldn't understand why the other was getting so worked out for. However, he believed that Yoongi was pushing it too far.
"I'm the king of Wonderland, Min Yoongi. I can erase the memories of those who I've dealt with. And also, Jaehwa was having difficulty so I helped. I know you are worried but do remember who you are talking to."
Anger was slightly visible in Jin's voice which shocked the other two.
Jimin gasped and looked at Yoongi worriedly. The other's expression fell immediately. Yoongi lowered his head.
"You are right... I'm sorry," Yoongi apologised softly. He couldn't raise his head up to look at Jin. He sighed, "Wash up and ask Jimin to prepare dinner for you."
Without saying another word, he walked away and back to his room.
Jin wondered if he went too far and felt guilty for that. He turned to Jimin who was still sitting there.
"Yoongi was just worried, your majesty. After all, he's still part of the royal family."

Yoongi watched his withered flower bloom back to the way it was when he first received it from the young king. The petals were fully coloured and the flower danced happily under the moonlight.
He heard a knock on the door and told the person to enter. He turned and saw Jin coming inside.
"Do you need-"
"I'm sorry for snapping at you," the other cut him off.
"You don't have to apologise to a half breed like me, your majesty. It was wrong of me to talk like that in the first place, your majesty."
"No... you are still my cousin. You have the right to speak that way. After all, you were saying the right things."
"Whatever you say, your majesty."
Jin knew that Yoongi was definitely pissed off but he was getting annoyed by the way the other was calling him.
The two stared at each other for a while and let the silence take over. Yoongi raised his eyebrow.
"If you don't need anything, go to sleep, your majesty."
"Enough is enough!"
Yoongi acted scared and rolled his eyes. And that was the last straw for Jin.
"Hey, stop it."
Yoongi looked at Jin and raised his eyebrow.
"Did you just speak English?"
Jin folded his arms and huffed, "I know how to speak several languages."
"Wow. The Jin I knew only ran around the village and talk to his flowers."
"Excuse me?!"
"Those flowers bloom rather beautifully whenever he talked. Magical indeed."
Jin blinked his eyes and was quite flustered by Yoongi's comment. He had always appreciated those who knew the beauty of his flowers. They are his pride and Yoongi knew it the very best.
"Stay at the hospital, Jin. Royals are powerful but if the humans knew of it, there's no escape to torture. Jin... you are a king. You are to bring peace and end the suffering of your people. For that, you need to live."
"I understand. I'll be more careful from now on."
Yoongi smiled.
"Long live the king."

Jaehwa had soft music playing in the background as she sat in front of her canvas. The white sheet was filled with colours but still incomplete. The image was forming into a man with a crowned flower.
Jaehwa held her paintbrush and dabbed onto the black paint that was one her palette. She was about to fill in the eye with black but paused.
She closed her eyes to recall what she saw. She didn't know if it was just her imagination or reality.
She then stared at her painting.
"I am sure of it," she muttered softly.
She washed off the black paint by stirred the brush inside the cup of water. She swung it off lightly after she took it out to make it less soaked. Next, she set it aside for a while and grabbed several shades of green paint. After squeezing those onto the palette, she mixed a few shades together to get the colour she was looking for.
She pressed her paintbrush against the resulted colour and added it to the eyes of the portrait.
Her art was completed.
Jaehwa admired her own work. A light tingling sensation tickled her heart and warmth embraced her safely as she stared at the green eyes of the portrait.
"I found my muse."

Morning came and the house was empty. Only Jimin was inside, reading his book as usual with a can of ice coffee. He sang with an angelic voice, a tune that every citizens in Wonderland was familiar.
He stopped singing as he felt a sharp pain. A signal that only meant bad omen.
He put his book down and headed to Yoongi's room. There was a shade of brown taking over the colourful flower. His eyes dilated with horror and he knew this meant trouble.
He ran down the stairs and opened the door.
He gasped when he saw a group of officers standing outside.
One of them grinned evilly when they saw him, "Round check, young lad."

Yoongi and Jin entered the hospital. Jin didn't know why the place was so quiet and a sense of danger was reminding him to be more than just alert.
Yoongi and Jin exchanged glances as he felt it too. Just then, they saw a group of officers walking around. This cued Yoongi to grab Jin's hand and ran off as quickly as possible before they got noticed.
The lift would have been easier but the stairs were a better choice as the doors would be guarded by officers.
Yoongi halted his steps suddenly when he saw officers in front of his room. He clicked his tongue and tried to go to Namjoon's laboratory but it was possible that there would be officers there as well.
While Yoongi was trying to think of a way, someone tapped on his shoulder which caused him to let out a silent scream. His soul almost left him.
"Did I scare you, kitty?"
Yoongi clenched his teeth when he looked at the culprit.
"Now is not the time, Jae."
Jaehwa chuckled. She glanced at Yoongi and then at Jin. Noticing the officers heading over, she knew why those two were being jumpy.
"Need a hand?"
The two looked at Jaehwa in shock. They were surprised by her sudden offer.
