"Another day. Another failure." Marinette groaned, planting her face in her desk.
"Awe, c'mon, Mari." Tikki said. "You did your best. And that's what matters!"
"I couldn't even give it to him!" Marinette replied. Head tilted to the side to look at Tikki.
Marinette groaned even louder, recalling the events of the day.
Marinette had stayed up late with her dad, the night before, in order to make chocolate filled crossiants for Marinette to give to Adrien on valentines day. As another go at confessing her love to him.
But when the day came, poor Marinette had lost all her courage from the night before. Spending the whole day trying to man up and just give it to him. And just when she thought she could do it, duty called for Ladybug.
Luckily, Chat didn't get corrupted by the akuma this year, and fought alongside her during the whole battle. Throwing flirts and compliments her way, constantly. She almost didn't notice the tint of nervousness in him.
Sometimes she would catch him staring at her. And once he realised she was looking at him, his face would flush furiously, and he would look away.
He looked cute blushing.
He'd be an amazing boyfriend and husband. Even father for that case. With those compliments. Whoever would end up with him would sure be in luck.
Not that she would be jelous if someone else won his heart. She had Adrien. And Adrien only.
They managed to save Paris. No one was injured, and everything was fine again.
Well, almost. She hadn't managed to give the crossiants to Adrien. He was probably at home by now. Surounded by valentines day cards from various fangirls.
Before they had to leave, Chat seemed like he wanted to say something. Opening his mouth, but no sound came out. And of course she had failed to notice and complained about her failed confession plans. And he had immideatly shut up.
She swore she saw his ears droop along with his composure.
And before she realised, he had jumped off. Claiming his Miraculous was beeping like crazy.
"You always have other opertunitys, Mari." Tikki smiled. "One day you'll actually do it."
Marinette sighed.
"I guess you're right, Tikki." She replied. "There is nothing i can do now."
"Next time you'll do it!" Tikki exclaimed.
Marinette looked up. A small smile tugging on her lips.
"Yes! I'll do it!"
Yeah! She could do it! One day she would actually do it. Without failing. And it would go excactly like she wanted it to. Without fail.
"Yeah!"
Their cheering was suddenly disturbed by a loud thud from Marinette's balcony.
"What could that be?" Tikki questioned.
Marinette shrugged.
"I have no idea."
