Threat

"I know you're a ghoul."

In an instant the roles were reversed. Kentaro was now helplessly pinned against the brick wall while Himika stood over him, a hungry and angry look in her eyes.

"How do you know and how many other people know?" She hissed, pushing her forearm onto his neck.

"Ease... Up!" He gasped, making Himika relieve most of the pressure on his trachea. "If I can't breathe how can I answer?"

"Hurry up an answer me!" Himika growled.

"My father is a member of the CCG, and after asking others to observe you and sneaking a peak at my dads files; I figured it out." He replied. "The CCG has basically pieced together that you're a ghoul, and not a normal one at that. I'm also guessing that Hinami's a ghoul."

Himika's eye changed under her eyepatch and a tingling erupted in the base of her spine. Her kagune was itching to escape along with Shin, who wanted nothing more than to splay his guts on the sidewalk.

"Keep Hinami out of it, she's innocent." Himika glared.

"Innocent?" Kentaro laughed, however it was hollow. "How are ghouls innocent?"

"Not all of us kill, in fact some of you humans are downright disgusting." She scoffed. "Hinami is innocent. She's never taken a life before, she truly cares about human life."

"And what about you?" He asked.

"I'm not innocent that's for damn sure." She grimaced. "I don't care what happens to me, but if anything happens to Hinami,"

Himika brought a hand to hover over her mouth.

"Let's just say that you and your loved ones will never speak again." She threatened.

"I have my dad one speed dial, I'll report you and all of your friends at that dingy coffee shop." He growled, reaching into his pocket.

Himika's kagune ripped from her back, but just a single tendril. It darted to Kentaro's pocket and fished out his phone, crushing it.

Kentaro gulped in fear.

"On second thought, maybe I won't report you."

"Good idea." Himika agreed. "And just so you know, because of the shit you put me through; you're my new minion."

"What? But that's-!"

The purple tentacle stabbed into the wall by his head.

"That's totally reasonable." Kentaro gulped.

"That's what I thought." Himika smirked. "And now I believe we have a mall to go to. You're going to buy be a cell phone. Call off your cronies."

Himika's kagune vanished and she stepped back. Kentaro clapped loudly three times and the three boys stepped back into the alley.

"Y-you guys go home, we have somewhere to be." Kentaro explained.

"B-but-!"

"Leave." Himika said levelly.

The three of them scampered away, leaving Himika alone with Kentaro.

"Now then," Himika smiled, forcefully taking Kentaro's arm. "Let's go."

Kentaro nodded and followed after her shakily.

Himika had never been to the mall before, so Kentaro lead the way, while Himika kept a threatening hold on his arm as a sort of leash. Eventually they made it to the two story building and walked inside the main entrance.

"My phone has a two year warranty on it, so you're getting whatever I can get. Plus my dad isn't with us to pay for it." Kentaro mumbled.

"Doesn't matter to me, as long as I get my phone," Himika replied, fluttering her eyelashes. "Ken-kun."

Kentaro shivered.

"R-right."

Kentaro lead the way to the store while trying to ignore his short leash. They enteted the store together ans Kentaro made his way to the customer service desk.

"Hi, how can I help you?" A pretty red haired girl asked.

"I broke my phone and I need a cheap replacement, also my dad isn't here and I need to contact him." Kentaro replied. "I have a two year warranty."

"Do you have the broken phone with you?" She asked.

"Here," He quickly replied, pulling the phone out of his pocket. "As you can see, I can't even turn it on."

"How did it even...?"

"Don't ask." Himika interupted.

"Whatever, just give me the number and go pick out a phone that has a value of 12000 yen." She sighed.

"Thanks." Kentaro sighed back.

They passed rows and rows of phones as Himika stared at them in awe.

"Which one should I get?" Himika asked, turning to her date for advice.

"A flip phone?" Kentaro shrugged. "You don't seem to know much about phones, so a simple one would be best."

"Which ones are flip phones?" She inquired.

"I rest my case." He mumbled, leading her over to another display case. "Pick any of these."

Himika's finger hovered over the display case until it landed on a white flip phone.

"This one." She decided.

Kentaro walked back over to the fiery haired girl and cleared his throat.

"I picked one." He said.

"Perfect, just pick out the model and tell me the number you want." She replied.

Kentaro pointed to the white flip phone and she nodded.

"I'll go get it from the back, but are you sure this is the one you want?" She asked. "You could get something newer."

"This one is fine." Kentaro barked, already done enough with today as is. "And as for the number, just pick one that isn't taken and save my old number for later."

"O-okay." She mumbled, disappearing behind the staff only doors.

Himika chuckled to herself.

"What the hell is so funny?" Kentaro grunted.

"Nothing." She waved him off.

Kentaro just stood there, agitated.

"Here's your phone, although it doesn't have a warranty, would you like to buy one?" The employee timidly asked.

"No, that's fine." Was Kentaro's reply.

"I've written the number on a sticky note inside the box, have a nice day." She smiled.

Kentaro just grumbled and started leaving, dragging Himika along with him.

"Happy?" He asked.

"Satisfied, for now at least." She answered, making him squirm.

"Here's the phone," He said, shoving the box into her hands. "Can I go home?"

"I suppose, but remember that my threat still stands." She replied before getting and idea. "Oh! And at school, if Hinami asks for anything; and I mean anything. You will help her."

"Fine." He hissed.

"Goodbye, see you later Kentaro." Himika said.

"I hope I never see you again." He whispered, but Himika heard him loud and clear.

"Oh, Kentaro," She sighed. "You're not that lucky."

A/N

I'm really sorry, this chapter is shorter than usual and I haven't updated a lot. But happy New Year, yay for 2019 and all that jazz.

What I really wanted to say, is that for the next few chapters I'm going to do something to celebrate. None of my followers know that much about me, so for the next few chapters I'm going to do fun facts on me. So here's the first one:

Funfact #1
My favourite colour is red, which is the colour of my hair and my glasses. But I also love rainbow patterns and colours.
