I am super sorry about delays in chapters! I was slowly working on more chapters but so many things have happened in this past week alone! My 2 year old cousin went for surgery to cure his liver cancer and my family's dog got sick and passed away.

I don't want any of you to feel sorry for me, the surgery had no complications and my cousin was out of the hospital in only two days. And our dog, Bella, is in a much better place, one where she won't have to worry about struggling at all, not to mention she lived a long happy life.

Overall, because of all the things that have happened in my life, I'm a pretty level headed person, meaning I tend to take most things fairly well and I always try to look for a brightside!

Himika peeked around the large box, accidentally making eye contact with investigator Mado, or as she calls him, Mr. Mado.

"Hello again Mr. Mado," Himika greeted, keeping the fear out of her voice. "How have you been?"

"I'm doing well, thanks for asking. I'm even better now that you've turned up." Mr. Mado replied, also taking time to read the name on her visitor's pass. "What are you doing here?"

"She's helping me with deliverys!" Hideyoshi cut in.

"Is that so? Then you better get to delivering those boxes Himika." Mr. Mado said, smiling widely at Himika.

"Right you are!" Hideyoshi agreed. "Follow me Himika!"

Hideyoshi continued to lead them to the strange metal doorway, only increasing Shin's panic.

Not good, I repeat, NOT GOOD.

'What does that do?' Himika asked Shin as they slowly walked closer.

The machine is built to scan your RC levels, meaning if you have too much like ghouls, the machine will sound the alarm and the investigators will come to kill you. You have two choices right now, run away here and now and go into hiding, or go through and pray to God it doesn't go off. Nice knowing you.

'Glad you're rooting for me.' Himika sarcastically retorts.

They finally appeared in front of the RC scanning machine, Hideyoshi walking through first.

"Your turn." Mr. Mado said sickly.

Himika sucked in a breath and held it as she took her first few painfully slow steps. She expected to hear a blaring alarm or a screaming siren, but was surprised when she made it through and nothing happened. She released the breath she was holding and glanced over at Mado, just in time to see his smile turn into a frown.

'Why didn't I trip the alarm?'

The only logical explanation is maybe half ghouls have less RC cells than ghouls, meaning they don't have enough to make the scanner go off.

Himika accepted that as a logical answer and continued following Hideyoshi, leaving a flabbergasted Mado behind.

"I have three different places I need to go, are you still up for helping me?" He asked.

"I don't mind." Himika replied.

"Great! Follow me!" He exclaimed.

They walked up a quick flight of steps and soon found themselves outside the door of a work room.

"Knock, Knock!" Hideyoshi exclaimed, knocking twice on the door.

The door slid open and none other than Mr. Amon answered.

"Hey there Amon! How's the leg doing?" Hideyoshi asked, walking into the room.

"It's doing better now, but I'm stuck in the office until it heals." He replied. "You brought us snacks?"

"Sure did! Himika here is helping!" He exclaimed, giving him a box.

"Himika?" Amon asked, peering around the box covering her face.

"Hello Mr. Amon, how are you?" Himika asked, careful to keep her face blank.

"I got injured by a ghoul on a mission, but I'm fine now." He replied.

"Good to hear." Himika said, giving him a nod.

"What about Akira? How is she?" Hideyoshi asked.

"Her leg is healing really well, although she's on office duty like me." Amon answered.

"Good to hear!" Hideyoshi exclaimed. "I'm off now to deliever the next package!"

Amon said goodbye and the two left to deliver the next package. Hideyoshi led Himika down another long hallway before they stopped in front of a boy with white hair.

"Hey Juuzo!" Hideyoshi called.

"Hide!" The boy exclaimed. "Did you bring my sweets?"

"Sure did!" Hideoshi replied, giving him the box Himika was carrying.

Himika took a better look at the boy. He was a litte on the short side, and his arm and lip were covered in red stitches. His suit was also very different compared to other investigators.

"Who's she?" Juuzo asked, pointing at Himika.

"This is Himika, she's helping me today!" Hideyoshi replied, placing a hand on her head.

"Nice to meet you." Himika greeted.

"Nice to meet you too! I'm Juuzo Suzuya!" The boy, Juuzo introduced. "Thanks for the sweets! See you around Hide!"

"Bye!" Hideyoshi called back.

"How many people are left?" Himika asked, glancing at the final box Hide held.

"Just one!" He replied.

Hideyoshi led her around a corner and to a seperate hallway before they came to another set of automatic sliding doors.

"Knock, Knock! Special delivery!" Hide sang.

"Come in, the doors open!" A voice replied.

Hideyoshi pressed a button and the door slid open, revealing a young man working at a computer.

"Oh, It's you Hide." The brown haired man said.

"Yes I brought you some snacks!" He replied, patting the last box.

Hideyoshi walked up to his desk and placed the box down, glancing at the paper work on it.

"What're you working on?" Hideyoshi asked.

"I'm stuck doing research on the Eyepatch ghoul and the Kunoichi ghoul." He answered, glancing at Himika. "Who's she?"

"My name's Himika, I bumped into Hideyoshi and decided to help him out with delivering stuff." Himika replied.

"Nice to meet you Himika, I'm Seidou Takizawa!" The man held out his hand to shake.

Himika grabbed his hand hesitantly and shook it once before letting go.

"What have you found out so far about the two ghouls?" Hideyoshi asked.

"Well it's mostly classified information, but I can tell you this much," He started. "I have next to nothing on Eyepatch except for a missing person poster, and the only intresting thing I found on Kunoichi is that her estimated age is only around 13 or 14."

"I see." Hideyoshi said slowly. "Well see you later Takizawa!"

"See you Hide!" He replied.

Hideyoshi and Himika left the office and started making their way back to the entrance. They walked through the RC scanner with no problems and returned their visitor passes.

"Thanks for your help today Himika." Hideyoshi said once they were outside.

"No problem." Himika replied.

"Can I ask you one last favor though?" He asked, dropping his carefree attitude.

"What is it?" Himika asked, equally serious.

"Do you know someone named Ken Kaneki?" He asked.

Himika tensed and replied quickly. "No."

"Just tell him that his friend Hide says hello." He said seriously, turning around and walking away.

Himika stood there for minute before turning to walk away, back to where Kaneki was waiting, most likely still mad.
