Did we miss something?

*Thomas* 

After Alexander ran off to his 3:00 class I went back to the cafe. After sitting down and scrolling through my phone the whole squad busted in. 

"Hey, Thomas, did we miss something mon ami?" 
"Uh, what specifically?" 
"Uh, when you and Lex started calling each other by your first names, and since when did yall 'hang out'?" John asked leaning on the table. 

"Since this morning when he asked." 
"More importantly where were ya'll?! We had no clue where ya'll were Tom." 
"Uh, we went to a nearby lake," I say looking back down at my phone.

They talk quietly amongst themselves before sitting down with me. 

"Anyway, Alex's class ends at 4, wanna come to our dorm and watch movies?" Angelica suggests. 

Everyone nods in agreement. 
I sigh relieved that the topic was changed. 

"I have to go turn this essay in, be right back guys." John stands up an walks out. 

We continue talking before I stand up. 

"I gotta go check on something I'll be right back," I say after noticing the time was 4. 

I start walking towards the political science class. It wasn't that long of a walk, maybe 8 minutes. 

When I got to the classroom I waited outside for a bit before students started filtering in and out. 
I see a familiar head of hair walk out and I file in next to him, nudging him slightly. 

"Oh, hey, Thomas." 
"Hey, Alexander. Thought I'd come to see ya after class, that was a rushed goodbye." 
"Heh, yeah. I couldn't be late. I'm assuming the rest of 'em came up on ya?" 
"Yeah, started interrogating me. But it's fine now. We're all gonna go to Angelica's dorm and watch movies, you comin?" 

He seemed to think about deeply before replying. 

"I got another month or two work of essays done today, I guess one night is fine." I smile widely for some reason. 

We continue chatting briefly before getting back to the cafe. 

"Sup, guys! I hear about a movie night! I'm there!" Peggy and Laf laugh at Alexander's entrance. 

"Sounds great Lex!" John said. Guess he got back after I left. 
"Let's be on our way! We'll watch movies till dusk!" Peg Leg shouts running our of the cafe door with Eliza, Angelica, Alexander, John and Laf following in pursuit laughing. 

Alexander's laugh strikes me. I stand a smile before feeling a tap on my shoulder. 

Looking behind me I see Herc. He smiles then starts walking beside me. 

"So, you're on better terms with Alex?" 
"Yeah, I guess. Not that big of a deal." 
"Mhm, you took him to a lake. " 
"Anybody could've found a lake," I say surprisingly defensive on the topic. 
" Whatever you say, Thomas," James says as he walks in line with me. 

Soon we see a group of laughing kids joking around and gasping for air, one jiggling a key in a lock.

"Need help?" I ask Angelica. She nods and leaves to laugh with the others. I unlock the door and the stampede runs in and scatters to find movie supplies. 

After 10 minutes of finding blankets and making popcorn and getting stashed candy, we're all settled in on the couch. 

"Alright, what first?" Angelica asks shuffling through the many movies she owns. 
"I wanna scary movie!" Peggy states. 
"Ooo, yeah!" Soon we're all in agreement for a scary movie. 


Herc and Laf cuddling in the big fluffy chair, while the Schuylers all get comfy on the longer couch. John in on the floor closest to Peggy, James by Herc and Laf, and Alexander and me are next to each other on the other side of the couch. 

All the lights are off and the blinds are closed with blackout screens on them so the dorm is completely dark. 

The movie starts and its silent. A few minutes into the movie there's already a jumpscare. Almost everyone screams and jolts back. 

Especially Alexander. 

After the jump scare, he jolts back and turns his head and places it on my shoulder, gripping 

I start blushing madly, thank goodness the dorm is dark. He slowly and carefully peers over my shoulder before sitting up again and continuing to watch the movie. He doesn't seem to notice, but he's still holding onto my shirt. I forget about, focusing my attention on the T.V screen. 

*Time skippidy dippidy* 

We watched a few more movies until it was 
Almost everyone was asleep except for Angelica, Herc, John, Alexander and I.
"Alright, well its late yall should probably get going." 
"Yeah okay. Come on Alex." Herc said carefully standing up as to not wake Laf up. 

Alexander tiredly gets up and wanders to the door. 
Herc picks Laf up bridal style and him and Alex exit the dorm.                                  
"Come on Jemmy." I walk to the door and look out in time to see Alex almost passing out and falling to the floor. 

Almost. 

But Herc manages to grab him in time. I walk out and over to the struggling Herc. 


"Need help?" I ask as pick up the sleepy Alexander. 
"Thanks, you mind taking him back to the dorm?" 
"Sure," I call James over and tell him I'll be a bit later. He just nods and walks away. 

The walk to Alexander's dorm isn't that far but it felt like a million years. I kept staring down at the now sleeping male. 

I find myself admiring his features. The way his soft hair gently flows over his face, his soft yet chapped lips settling in a small mona lisa smile.

Soon enough we're at his dorm. I walk in after Herc and Laf, go to Alexanders room. I gently place him on his bed. I stand smiling at him for quite some time. 

"Hey, thanks for helping to take him home." 
"No problem Herc." I look back at Alexander, smiling fondly at him once again before covering him in his bed comforter. 

I leave is room quietly closing his door. 

"So you gonna ask him out or what?" 
"Uh, I don't know what you're talking about.." I feel my face heat up just a bit. 
"So you don't like Alex?" 
"I-I m-mean as a friend..." 
"Annnnnddd..." 
"Nothing more nothing less," I say firmly. 
"Soooo, that blush of you has nothing to do with it?" 
"uh I-I..." 
"Mhm, keeping 'hanging out' with him, and ya'll will be close." 

I don't know how else to react so I look down. 

" He likes you too I can tell." I jolt my head up at this, my face feeling likes it's on fire.
"R-really?" 
"Mhm... Night!" Herc then walks off to his room. 

I sigh and begin the walk back to my dorm. 




*Alex* 

I wake up a little at the sound of bedroom door closing. 

I sit up and realize that this is not where I was. I remember sitting next to Thomas while watching a movie then walking out of the door with Laf win Herc's arm's, then I remember stumbling and Herc catching me, them Thomas carrying me.....

I feel myself blush. I stand up and was about to walk out of my room when I heard talking. I instantly recognized the voices. 


"So you gonna ask him out or what?"

"Uh, I don't know what you're talking about.." 

"So you don't like Alex?" HERC I S2G!!

"I-I m-mean as a friend..." I feel my heart break a little bit. 

"Annnnnddd..." And?????

"Nothing more nothing less," Thomas says firmly. Guess that ends it. 

"Soooo, that blush of you has nothing to do with it?" Wait, what? He's blushing does this mean?

"uh I-I..."

"Mhm, keeping 'hanging out' with him, and ya'll will be close."

There were a few heartbeats of silence. 

" He likes you too I can tell." I- Don- do- Herc!

"R-really?" Does he sound...happy? Hopeful?

  "Mhm... Night!" I  assume Herc left. 

I hear a sigh, footsteps and then a door. 

I poke my head out behind my door and walk to the kitchen and grab some water before rushing to my room to type all of this stuff down. 

A/N HHHHHHHHHHEEEEEEEEEEEYYYYYYYYYY!!! NO ANGST------------------------YET! Hehe! Well, there might be another chapter out later today.
