Faded Ink: Chapter 9
In the blurry moments of waking up, Frisk heard a dull voice. "Hey, you're up." Sleepily, they opened their eyes.
"What happened...?" Frisk asked, their face showing confusion.
"Well, let's get to that later. First, eat some breakfast," the kid in gray replied. Frisk sat up in a bed that looked like a hospital bed, checking out their surroundings.
They saw various folks-monsters, humans, doctors, patients, and nurses-moving around. Examining their hands, Frisk tried to piece together what happened.
Following the gray kid, they walked through a busy place. The kid stayed serious as they led Frisk into the unknown, where answers waited.
Finally reaching a dining spot, Frisk sat down, and the gray kid magically brought out a butterscotch pie, placing it on the table. While munching, questions popped up.
"So, spill it. What's going on?" Frisk asked while eating.
"Don't you remember?" Core replied.
Frisk was about to reply, but Core beat them to it. "Guess it makes sense you don't. You broke through your limits."
Frisk figured Core meant the DT Boosts. Pushing away negative thoughts, they asked again. "Seriously, what happened? Where was I?"
"You were in Nightmare's domain," the gray kid said calmly.
Flashbacks hit Frisk, making their breath quicken and phantom pains resurface.
Nightmare.
They remembered everything.
Seven years of agony.
Of pain.
Of hopelessness.
Of false optimism.
Of suffering.
"You were only there for seven seconds, and that's something" Core said, almost like they were reading Frisk's mind.
"What...?"
"Yeah."
"What do you mean seven seconds?! I counted them in my head!" Frisk stood up, slamming their hands on the table.
"Calm down... Anyway, Nightmare messes with time perception in his place."
Frisk was left speechless. Their head was already messed up; they didn't need to know they endured seven seconds, thinking it was seven years.
Frisk, with a mix of sadness, sat back down and asked another question.
The awkward silence lasted a few minutes.
"Why me? They promised to bring back my AU... And my brother..." Asked Frisk.
"To be honest, you fell for one of the Embodiment of Negativity's tricks. He could bring back your AU, but it'd probably turn into a negativity mess."
"Ah..." Frisk felt a whirlwind of emotions, wanting to hurt Nightmare but also fearing him.
"But thanks to two people, you made it out just in time," Core said, trying to lighten the mood.
"Huh?"

Dream sprinted, slashing at encroaching black tentacles attempting to pull him down—a beacon of light in the darkness.
The surroundings were predominantly dark, with colossal, walking titans in the distant landscape and entities scattered everywhere. Dream battled them, his combat knives morphing into a grapple and a greatsword, each held in a hand.
The grapple attached itself to a titan, and brought Dream on its face.
Then, Dream, planted the greatsword inside the titan's face, and with the force of gravity, let himself fall down.
"Here we go." The weapon was tearing like a zip tie through the gigantic figure, while it was screaming in pain, trying to shake Dream off. When Dream reached down, he then used two arrows to disintegrate the figure.
"Overkill much?" Commented a feminine voice. It came from one of Dream's coat's pockets, and it was shown to be a light. The light levitated out of the pockets, and revealed it to be a glowing orb with angel wings.
"No." Dream said sternly. With a sudden dash, they used a chainsaw to cut off the head of a monstrous millipede, which writhed in pain.
"Hey wait up!" Exclaimed the orb.
The orb teleported near Dream, who was going hand to hand, sometimes with a stab, against 5 creatures.
He punched two times the first creature, and grabbed his legs with one hand. The other stabbed a sword, which penetrated its skull, and used the creature as a bat. They slammed the figure in the other ones, which were stabbed by the sword.
"Hey Lucky, you know what to do." Dream manipulated light, and it took the shape of a repeater crossbow.
The orb, or, Lucky, touched the weapon. "Each hit will be a critical one now! Eheheh!"
Dream began running again, gunning arrows left and right, to spiders that crushed anything under their legs, and more centipedes that appeared out of the ground. The arrows were doing great damage, thanks to Lucky and her blessing: she increased the chance of the arrows doing a critical hit up to 100%.
A few titans walked towards Dream, who turned his bow towards the sky.
"Lucky, do your thing again."
Lucky touched the bow, and enchanted it.
Dream pulled the string, as a positivity arrow manifested. The arrow was launched, and went towards the sky like a flash. When reaching a certain height, it divided itself into multiple arrows, and all of them hit the titans, who stumbled back.
"Now-"
Lucky was interrupted as Dream made another dash towards the titans, and whilst in mid air, used a pickaxe to grab on one of the titans's face. And with great strength, lifted it up, and slammed into the other ones, who now are in a pile. Dream went inside the pile, and made an explosion of positivity.
Dream was the only thing left now.
"Stop cutting me off when I'm trying to talk." Said Lucky.
"This is the last of our worries. Are you trying to keep that version of Frisk alive?"
"I'm literally the only reason why they're not dead."
"Ah, okay then." Dream was more relaxed, but quickly dodged a black beam. He looked up to see a creature that was composed of rings circulating a gigantic eye. More of these figures appeared, and they started blasting black holes everywhere.
"Dream..." Lucky went inside Dream's pocket, as he started pointing his finger up.
"Don't worry. I already won."
From Dream's finger, a swirling yellowish ball appeared. It repelled everything around Dream, except him of course. Dream was left levitating, as the ball created a sphere of destruction around them. The ground under the Guardian looked like a meteor hit it, and the air was reduced to zero.
Dream pointed the ball towards the black holes, and flicked it.
The white hole in an instant went towards the black holes, and all of them started to attract it. The dark objects circled around their counterpart. It was a simple reaction.
The black holes, with the mass of entire suns, would suck in everything, and completely destroy whichever thing was pulled by it.
And Dream, was able to create a white hole, an object of negative mass.
This negative mass was calculated by Dream to counter the mass of the black holes.
And since the black spheres weren't able to attract Dream's attack, and since the white hole wasn't able to push them away, made it so that they would circle one another.
Dream's attack hit, and all the enemies disappeared.
"Ok, since now we have destroyed the main creatures, we can finish off the AU. They were the only thing keeping us from disintegrating the negativity here." Dream said.
Dream then teleported high up, and used his arrow, which was enchanted again by Lucky. The arrow flew, and in each instant, divided in two. And these parts, cloned again. Infinitely, these arrows split, and at the end, they eradicated the entire negative AU.
The Guardian went down, and saw everything was in rubble.
Lucky flew out of his pocket, and transformed into a young woman with white robes, angel wings, and blonde hair. She had two rings circling her head and her eyes were covered by a white cloth.
With a click of her fingers, everything restored back to normality.
She turned towards Dream, and a salute.
"We did it!"
Dream nodded, and walked away.
