CH I 12

The sound of my bones shifting and cracking, hurt for a few seconds. Dropping to all fours, walking slowly to the waters edge. The stunning black coal looking coat, was barely visible in the darkness. Smirking this was so perfect, black was one of the best colors to be. Letting her run wild, I felt the air brushing through my coat. Visions as the trees seemed to mess together and turn into a sea of dark greens. Dirt gripping between each powerful stroke of our paws. It felt like we were flying, gliding over the earth. This is what freedom is, pushing faster.Crossing the smaller part of the river.

Water splashing up into my face, another paw pushing into the crystal clear surface. Yipping a happy laugh, playing with wolf. She splashed us on purpose, jumping to the other side of the river. Taking off faster then before, slamming her paws into the ground. Darting one direction to dart another way. I was laughing so hard, I was having a hard time keeping my eyes open. Leaping she sent us over a long tree.

The impound as she hit taking off like it was nothing. Our tongue hanging out, and nose flaring. Sliding to a stop, looking around. Yipping one more time, she burst into another spring of speed. Taking us only god knows, I didn’t care. Her body was pushing me further. Loving the freedom of having her, I could of never of imaged life would be this perfect. Her speed slowly coming back down, and the smell of wolves covered the land.
Looking around I noticed the place I so didn’t want to be. She had brought us to our mate, and his home.

~Why did you bring us here?~ Getting a little annoyed with her.
~Because, I’ve never seen mate before~ Her voice just a whisper.

Sighing I new she wanted to see what he looked like, pictures only say so much.

~Fine, but we get in and out. Got it?~
~Yea, thank you~ Chirping excitedly. Smiling there was no reason to punish her.

Carefully we walked into the wide opening, heading to his window. I was thankful there wasn’t any breeze, which would of surly given me away. A few wolves were around the back, or so I could hear. Looking into his open window, I saw the bathroom light on. Smirking I so couldn’t help myself. Crawling in, I shifted back to my human form. Laying naked on his bed, Sitting up against the headboard. The sound of him behind the door, raising my body temperature.
It opened and a vision of him in black boxers, frozen at the sight of me. His mouth open just a little, and eyes wide trying to catch more of me. Smirking at him, my naked body for him to take in.
“F…Fade?” Blinking rapidly, he started to rub his eyes.

~Thorin’s POV~

Washing my face, trying to feel something. The face staring back at me, was looking weak from the lack of sleep and eating. Ever since she left, I have been busting my men and myself to find her. Sighing I dried off and started for the bedroom, trying to get some sleep might help. Opening the door, her smell filled my nose. It was powerful, and I had forgotten how much it smelled perfect.
Laying on my bed was a naked Fade. Her body in a light sheen, playing games with my eyes. Her playful smirk, as she sat there watching my face. Gulping down, letting my eyes trail long legs, defined stomach and a chest in which made my mouth water. She was more then stunning, her eyes now held a deadly look. Something I couldn’t quiet put my finger on. They had more fire then the last time.

“F…Fade?” Blinking rapidly. A little soap had gotten into my eyes, and I rubbed them. Opening back up, she was gone. My chest tightened again, my mind was playing tricks on me. I was now seeing her, smelling her. Grabbing handfuls of hair, I sat on the bed. Touching the spot in which she sat, if only in my mind. Her smell lingered, as I placed my head on the pillow. How I wanted her, just see her again I would give anything.

Waking up with the sun blazing in from the open window, I growled. Rolling over staring at the wall. Sleep came and went, never getting enough rest. Mentally and physically I was drained. Letting my feet hit the soft white carpet, I walked to the window. Freezing when I rounded the corner of the bed. There on the carpet, were the footprints of Fade. Tiny bare feet, walked in and out of my room.

Having her slip through my fingers once again, only proved she was even more like her name. Fading in and out. Like the shadows she grabbed a hold of you, and then disappeared. Touching the dirt, it was from the eastern side. Near a river, one I knew well. My brain screamed telling me should could still be there. Quickly getting dressed, I raced threw the trees. I was faster by myself, and without so many others around. She wouldn’t be able to hear us as much.

Making it to the river, her smell was around. Fine tuning my senses, closing my eyes. Listening to anything the sounded like it didn’t belong. Nothing. Frowning, I headed closer to the city. She had a thing for the city, at least now she did. Stepping closer to the crumbling buildings, her smell was thicker. Patting myself on the back, walking around. I stopped a few feet in and again closed my eyes, trying to pick out her sound. Between the rustling of rats and the birds chirping I only picked up one sound that might be hers.

Making my way to it, stopped. Pausing, I became nervous. Could she of heard me, no not possible. A shadow flickered in a building across from me. Walking to it, I sniffed. Her smell was everywhere. Grabbing the cracked door frame, walking in. The deeper I got in the stronger her smell got. It was making my mouth water. Wiping it with my sleeve, taking a few more steps. A large room with a mattress on the floor, a few ripped sheets. Cans of food and drinks lay off to a corner. She had made herself a nest. The room its self was dark, and I started for the one window left in the room.

A sharp object poked the middle of my back. Freezing, I turned my head slowly looking around. Her eyes glowing caught mine. There she was in all her fiery glory. Staring at me weapon pointing and read to take my life.
“Fade” Whispering. Never taking my eyes away from her. I thought if I did that again, she would disappear like before.

“What are you doing here?” Her voice came out in a low growl.
“Looking for you” Keeping my voice low. Pissing her off was really not in my favor. Her body took a step away, and I almost whined. Even with her arrow poking my back, I didn’t want her to put distance between us. Turning around, I noticed she was wearing a necklace. Along with having clothes on the side of her bed, Destiny must of gotten her more. I’ll have to thank her for that.
“Get out of my home” Thinning those beautiful eyes at me. Just hearing her speak to me, was making me happier. Taking a step closer to her, she pulled the bow back more. It was a clear warning, and I stopped.

“Fade” Watching her face, she held herself well.
“What do you want Alpha?” Spitting the title out of sweet lips.
“I want you” Her face didn’t even light up at the thought, of me wanting her. Instead she let out a menacing laugh, rolling her eyes.
“Why so you can chain me up again?” Cutting the laugh. Swallowing the dangerous growl about to protrude, I sighed instead.
“Fade, Come home” Reaching for her. Taking a step away from me, she hissed.
“I am home. Its you who needs to go home.” A scary smile slipped over her face. Lowering the bow, she took a step forward. My heart skipped a beat, at her closing the distance between us. Standing within arms reach she caught me off guard.

“And keep your damn mutts out of my city” With that she moved faster then a human should of, kicking me square in the chest. Knocking the wind out off my lings, sending me flying out the only window. My back collided with the hard concrete, and I chocked on what little air I had left in side me. Looking up, her head and shoulder leaning outside the window.
“Stay off my land Alpha.” Chuckling. Rolling over gripping the ruble. She’s going to pay for that. Pushing upward, I headed back inside. Only to find some food and her clothes gone. Punching the wall, she did it again. Hearing footsteps above, I run up the broken and few pieces of steps. There running across the roof is Fade. A small bag, and her quiver strapped to her back, her bow tightly held in her left hand.

“FADE!” Running faster to her. I catch her big smile as she takes the last five steps leaping off the twenty foot building. Screaming for her, I grip the side of the ledge. Standing calmly below is an unharmed Fade. Not possible, this kind of fall would of killed her. She would of broken multiple things. Running away she disappears behind another building. Resting my head on my hands, taking in breaths. I swear she’s trying to give me a heart attack.

~Fade’s Pov~

I knew he’d chance after me, scaring him was just an added bonus. Jumping the twenty or so feet down. Knowing I could make it, cause I had already seen how high I could push myself. My warning had been made, this was my land. He could keep the woods, I wanted the city. A new home was needed, he would check there a few more times. As if I were that dumb to stay there aging. Only a fool would think that place was safe.

I knew a safe house a few street down and around the ruble. For now that would have to do, till Alpha left my property. Wolf seemed unhappy with the idea of us not going with him. But she didn’t have to go through his stupid behavior. She had said she trusted me, and would go along with what I had planned.

It had been about a week now, and he had wolves crawling all over my property. Idiot, I swear the man has a death wish. Tonight I will make it very clear. Grinning like a man woman. Waiting till the darkness consumed the earth. A few wolves returned to the base, wanting sleep and food. The city had been picked clean, by yours truly. Normally I don’t go anywhere without my bow, but I needed to be able to move silently with out anything hanging me up.

I made it a point to raid a few places, before stuffing the necessary items into a small bag. Shifting into my wolf, she picked the bag up. Taking off she already knew where I wanted her to go. We made it there an hour or so after the sky had fully gone dark. The soft light in his room said he hadn’t gone to bed yet. Shifting back, I pulled my clothes on. Climbing a tall tree, I pushed the bag behind my head. Patience’s is something I have lots of. Another hour and his light went out.

Waiting a little longer, I needed to give him time. Woman are the worst thing to piss off, and pissing me off was no exception. Letting another hour fly bye, I made my way down. Taking the bag in hand, crossing the lawn. Dropping down under his window, peeking in. He was sleeping while laying on his stomach. His breathing was enforcing the deep sleep he was in. Quietly climbing inside, picking my bag up. Pulling out two items, before making my way to him. Placing the items in my mouth, I started the long slow crawl over his body.

Feeling like a predator, wolf reminded me we were. And I reminded her not to make me laugh, or our plan would be ruined. Making sure not to touch him, slipping one item out of my mouth. Hooking it on the head board and then his wrist, he woke furious and startled. Flipping around, I used my weight to push him back down. Clicking the steel handcuff over both wrists. His eyes were glowing and full of rage.
“Hello Alpha, did I wake you?” Pouting my lips. He settled hearing my voice.
    “Fade?” Not sure.
“Aww did I wake you from your beauty sleep” Tapping his cheek a little to hard. Flinching away, he pulled on the cuffs.

“Ah, ah, ha, not going to work. Those are made for wolves.” Waving my index finger back and forth. He growled at me, tightening his chest muscles.
    “Take them off now” Snarling.
“Ohh, but I thought you were into this sort of thing?” Leaning my face to his. Catching him taking in my scent, only proving he wanted me.
“Fade?” Dragging my name out. My lips lightly touching his ear.
“You want me” Making sure to lick around his lobe. A deep rumble came out.
“What are you planning?” Watching me closely.
“Nothing much, you know being human and all we don’t get creative” Hurt flashed across his eyes.

    “Fade, I..”
“What want me…need me?” Trailing a finger over his lush lips. Pushing up so I was sitting straight over his chest, feeling his member jump at my closeness.
“Fade” He said my name as if he still couldn’t believe I was startling him.
“Say it Alpha” Gliding my nails lightly over his chest. Feeling ever tightened muscle.
    “I need you”
    “And?” Raising my eyebrow.
“I want you” Gasping as I leaned down, licking his chest. Goosebumps forming on his forearm.
