Kaori's POV

It's been a few days since I joined Aogiri. I've got to know some of the members, but not personally. Meaning, I've only learned their names. I stayed stuck in my room, not wanting to talk to anyone here.

I sighed to myself as I lied down on the bed I was given. I heard a knock at the door, so I sat up. The door opened and someone wrapped in bandages skipped over to me. "Hi!" They greeted as they approached me. Judging by the voice, there was a female underneath those bandages.

"Can I help you?" I asked her. "I just wanted to see who the new member looked like. It never came into mind that you would be a boy." She said with a bubbly personality. "I'm actually a girl." I stated, bluntly. "Oh? Then, why are you dressed like a boy?" She asked.

I shrugged my shoulders in response. "Hmm... okay," She happily walked over to me and took a seat next to me on the bed. "So, what's your name?" She asked. I didn't for a moment until I looked at her, noticing she was staring at me.

She swung her legs as she looked at me, waiting for an answer. I sighed because I knew she was gonna keep looking at me until I answered her. "Kaori. My name's Kaori." I said.

"Kaori... that's a nice name. Wanna know my name?" 

"Do I really have a choice?"

"Nope!"

"Okay, I guess that was stupid of me to ask, then."

"My name's Eto!"

"Eto?"

"Yep!"

This is the girl who saw me eat Rize's corpse with Tatara? Never would've guessed this would be that person. I lied back on the bed and blankly stared at my ceiling. "You look upset." Eto mentioned as she lied down next to me, lying on her stomach while swinging her legs up in the air. "I am upset." I confirmed. "How come?" She asked.

"Because I was forced to join a group I didn't want to join." I answered. I felt so angry, I stomped out of the room and walked down the hallway. "Damn it, damn it, damn it, damn it, damn it..." I stopped and gritted my teeth in anger while my hands balled into tight fists.

"Damn it!" I yelled as my kagune activated. I smashed through the wall and climbed to the roof. The heavy rain pounded down on my body as I stood there, gazing up at the sky while my bangs covered my eyes.

I took a deep breath and screamed at the top of my lungs. I continued to scream while my hands were cupped to my chest, letting out all of my anger and sadness. You wanna know why I'm angry? Why I'm sad? Why these two emotions were burning inside my chest?

It's because I'm an idiot. I was stupid to join this group. But what choice did I have? They would've killed Dad if I hadn't done it. But I left all my friends behind. And to make things worse, I may not be able to see them again.

I fell to my knees, curling up in a ball as I gritted my teeth harder. "Hey," I slowly lifted my head as I heard Ayato's voice. "How long are you gonna be up here? I could hear you screaming all the way in my room." He said.

"Fuck off." I muttered. I didn't realize he was behind me until he grabbed the back of my hair and yanked my head back so I was looking at the sky. "You should really watch what you say around me. I'm stronger and faster than you, so watch yourself." Ayato warned.

"Go to hell!" I snapped. Ayato yanked my hair harder before throwing me across the roof. I slid on my side until I hit a wall. "Tsk, tsk, tsk... Someone needs to teach you a thing or two about respect, Kaori. I don't care if you are dressed like a boy. That's not gonna stop me from disciplining you." Ayato said as he walked over to me.

"What are you gonna do? Beat me up? Stab me? Go ahead. Try and break me. I can take it." I challenged. "Heh. We'll see about that." Ayato said. "That's enough. Both of you," I turned my head as Tatara stood there with Eto as she waved at us.

"Ayato, leave her alone. Go bother someone else." Tatara said. "Tch. Whatever." Ayato replied as he shoved his hands in his pockets. He shot me a glare before walking off. Tatara looked at me before leaving as well. As for Eto, she skipped over to me, then stopped on my right side as I sat up.

"Are you okay, Big sister?" She asked. "I'm fine." I said, quickly as I stood up and went back inside. Eto followed me as she skipped. "Where are you going?" She asked. "To my room. I wanna be alone for a while." I said. When I got to my room, I closed the door and flopped on my bed.

"You truly are sad." I sat up as I found myself in a white room. In front of me, stood Rize as the wind gently blew through her hair. "Missed me, Kaori?" She smiled at me. Tears gathered in my room as I lowered my head.

"Aww, don't cry. It's going to be okay." Rize tried to comfort me as she hugged me close to her. "I can't do this anymore. I don't wanna do this." I said, sniffling. "Do what?" She asked.

"I... I want to be with you again. I'm scared and I don't want to be alone anymore. Rize, you're... you're the only one I want to be with. I just... I just want things to go back to the way things were. But..." I trailed off as I pulled my knees to my chest.

"How can you turn back the clock? It's impossible. I just want you here with me. Please... Please come back to me, Rize. I can't do this without you." I said as I began to cry. "Aww... You're so sweet." Rize said as she gently stroked my hair.

"You're my precious little ghoul, Kaori. Never forget that." She said. I opened my eyes and I was back in my room. Was that all a dream? I rubbed my eyes until I felt my cheeks were wet. I wiped my left eye as a tear was shown on my hand.

"That was real... right?" I whispered to myself. I got off the bed and walked towards the window. The sky was dark as the stars twinkled beautifully. "What now?" I whispered as I gazed up at my ceiling.
