Ten
My heavy lidded eyes opened slowly.
In the corner was a small lamp illuminating a dark and musty cell. The walls were grimy and caked with mud. Blood splattered everywhere, and from the fresh smell I could tell it was wolf.
The room was lined with silver top to bottom, and I couldn't contact anyone at all. Not through pack links either. Not even mate links-which was my last resort of course.
When I heard the baton clinging against the bars in front of me, I growl loudy.
Baring my teeth at the man, I stare my captor down with indignant pride.
If his intention was to break me- he was going to be sorely mistaken.
He was smirking, actually, rather good looking. Which was completely irrlevant, but you should've seen the guy.
Dark hair, blue eyes, tall, lean, muscled. Cocky arrogant attitude and smirk surrounding him.
Yeah definitely the person I would be typically attracted to.
But looks can decieve, in this case being he kidnapped me.
"Who. The. Hell. Are. You?" I bit out fiercely.
"Who am I? WHO AM I? Who are you is the question here, Cara Thompson." His cruel laughter boomed around the tiny room, making me cringe away.
"What do you want wiseass?" I sneered at him.
"Leverage, revenge, everything your family took from me. And I intend to get it." The man flared at me.
"What are you going to kill me? Get it over with then."
"Kill you? Oh no. I'm not a heartless monster dear Cara. What's the point in killing one of my own kind? No I'm just going to make Troy Thompson pay for what he did to me and my Delilah. Your alleged father stole everything from me. Even my mate." He growled.
"Look I don't care what you think my father did, but there is a misconception here. My father is a good honest man." I sneered.
"No he's not and he isn't your father. He never was! That man is a monster! He is among the worst of beast."
"What? Of course he's my father." I rolled my eyes.
"And why don't you ask him that huh? It's so obvious and you can't even see the signs."
"What do you mean?" I replied, him siking me out just a smudge.
"He's not your father because your father is Xavier Bell. The Alpha of all alphas, and The first victim of your psycho fake father before Delilah."
I really didn't like the way this conversation was going.
"Suppose you're telling the truth. What proof do you have? Why would I choose to believe a stranger?"
Throughout the entire argument I hadn't realized he backed me against a wall, himself dangerously close to me.
He remained silent as a mouse. When the dim lights clicked on fully, I understood why I felt so attracted to him.
This man, was an exact carbonated copy of my ex mate- Cole.
"Cole?" I gasp, my eyes widening.
"What? Ew, no. I may look like him but I am not my brother." He said with obvious distaste.
"B-brother?" I squeaked.
"Twins to be exact. Although I am years older." He laughed.
I narrowed my eyes at him.
"Is this some kind of sick joke?" I scoff.
"No actually not."
"That's not possible."
"Oh yes it is. I am nineteen and a half years old, my brother is seventeen." He smirks.
"How do you explain that one smarty? Twins are the same age." I laughed.
"Unless you are a set of Purae Capreæ, like myself and Cole."
"Is that latin? What are you talking about?" I question with an eye role.
"It's a rare breed of wolf twins. Only Weres can have them. If a femme wolf feels like the circumstances unsafe, she can go into a state of comatose. Which unfortunately I was already born before she had my brother. She stayed in that state while our father provided for her. After my brother was born though, both were killed in a rogue attack, the same group your father sent after us. Me and little bro Cole were separated afterwards. He was just lucky enough to get adopted. Now, I'm done spilling my life story." He finished, with a flourished bow, leaving th room and turning to lock the door.
I snapped from my daze and stared at him, right in the eyes.
"Oh, one more thing, you should know that me and you are sorta mates. Toodleloo!" He winked and left me there.
I was in a daze. Everything he had just said made absolutely no sense to me. The guy was crazy! Only explanation I could have thought about.
"You know, my mother is friends with a great shrink, I could get you hooked u-"
"I'm not crazy!" He called down, cutting me off before he proceeded to slam a door.
I rolled my eyes and slumped against the wall, trying to think through everything that had happened. I was conflicted.
First off: My father wasn't a murderer, I would have known. I don't know who told butt face that, but they are just as crazy.
Secondly: Whatever in the Sam's Hell a Purae Comprae or whatever the heck he said is, I never heard of it I don't even think it existed. Maybe he just thinks he's nineteen but he's really seventeen?
Thirdly and lastly: I was not his mate. I did feel a attraction to him, but it wasn't like with Cole. With ole it was all passion and sparks. This felt dangerous and, almost, exciting. The thought of how close his face had gotten to my own made my head spin and I felt dizzy.
And the worst part was I didn't even know his name. I didn't know the guys name. And I had wanted the guy to kiss me, I had wanted to kiss him. The thought had me scared for several reasons. The prime two being he wasn't my mate or my boyfriend, and that he had kidnapped me.
How in the world had I gotten myself into this one?
Hey guys. So what did you think about this chapter? I know the terms aren't typical werewolf terms, but I wanted to add some thing that I made up; some kind of spice. What do you guys think about this guy and his news about Cara's dad? Do you think it's true or false?
Do you think that their mated or is it something else?
