“Sorry, it took so long to get here, there was an accident,”

   Felix hummed, “Yeah, an alert went off earlier. I think the traffic lights might've gone out or something,”

   “Lix, is everything okay?” Yuqi asked.

   “Did you know Hyunjin's ex?” Felix asked.

Odd question.

  “Uhm, yeah, she was nice. We shared a few classes,”

  Felix nodded.

   “Felix, why are you suddenly asking about his ex?” Yuqi questioned.

  The brunet bit his lip and stopped pacing, “I was out with Hyunjin earlier and I met her… and her daughter,”

  Yuqi blinked a couple times.

  “Her and her daughter?”

  “Yup, and I hate well not hate, but I think that she is also Hyunjin's daughter,”

   The older's eyes widened.

   “What? That is not possible,” Yuqi stated in disbelief.

   “Yuqi, I swear it was like looking at mini-Yeji in a way and when she smiled. I thought I was seeing things,” Felix said.

  “Okay, let's think about this for a minute. If Hyewon and Hyunjin actually do have a daughter together, why would Hyewon not tell Hyunjin?”

   “I mean look at it from her perspective. Her and Hyunjin broke up. It could have been months later that she found out and at that point she left. If it was me I wouldn't have said anything either, would you have?”

   Yuqi shook her head, she wouldn't have.

   Felix sighed.

  “Does it bother you that he might have another kid?” Yuqi asked.

   “No, I guess I just wasn't expecting it,” Felix said.

    “It's not like it really matters especially since you are with Yoon,”

    The younger pursed his lips.

  “You are with Yoon, right?”

  “I am breaking up with him… I can't lead him on,”

  “And this has nothing to do with Hyunjin, right?” Yuqi asked.

  Felix looked at his hands, he couldn't answer that honestly.

    “Felix, don't uproot your relationship for him,”

  “It's not just about him…” Felix stated.

  “Then what else is it about?” Yuqi questioned.

   “I wasn't calling Yoon when the stuff with Charles was happening. I wasn't going out with Yoon in the middle of the night because I was scared and just needed to be safe,”

   Yuqi pressed her lips together. She knew exactly who he called and while she did hate it a little, it was up to Felix.

    Felix looked at the clock and sighed, “I need to get ready. I am meeting Yoon for breakfast,”

   The woman nodded, “Text me on how it goes,”

He hoped it went well.

   “Are you not hungry?” Yoon asked.

   Felix had been slightly poking at his food and nibbling at it since he got it.

   “Actually, I kind of wanted to talk,” Felix said.

   “Oh,”

  Maybe they both had seen this coming.

   “I can't marry you,” Felix said.

    Yoon nodded, “I mean we've only been together for three months. Maybe in the future,”

   Felix pressed his lips together.

   “Oh, you mean…”

   “I'm sorry. You are a nice guy like a truly nice guy and it would be nice to build a life with you…”

  “But?” Yoon questioned.

  “But you deserve better and I'm not using some line, you truly deserve someone who can give you their all and I can't give that,” Felix said.

  “Is this because of him? Is he pressuring you? I mean…”

   “I still love him and I hate sometimes, but I am not doing this because of him or for him,”

  “You're doing this for me? If you are stop, because I want to be with you,”

   He was not making this easy.

  Before Felix could say anything, his phone began to ring.

    He grabbed it and answered.

  “Hello?... This is he,”

   Felix blinked a few times. The man on the other end of the call was still talking but it all seemed to fade.

   He hung up and just took a minute.

   “I need to go,” Felix muttered, quickly collecting his things.

   “Wait, what happened? Is Yuqi hurt or something?”
   
    “I just need to go,”

    Felix was quick to leave, muttering something along the lines that they could talk more later.

   “Hyunjin Hwang's room, please? I am Felix Lee,”

  “Relationship?” The woman asked.

  “I am on his emergency contact form,” Felix stated.

  “I still need your relationship to him,”

   Was she actually serious? He was on Hyunjin's emergency contact form that indicates a relationship there.

   Was he about to do this?

“I'm his Fiancé,” Felix stated.

  Yes, he was.

  “Fiancé?” She asked, almost disgusted.

  “Room number, please,”

  “One moment,”

  She typed something into the computer and hummed.

  “Very well, ICU room 15,”

Felix left, heading straight to the ICU.

  Yeji was already there.

   “Yeji,” he said softly.

   The woman looked up, she had been crying.

   “I didn't think you'd come,”

  “I came here as fast as I could. Is he okay? What happened?”

   “He was in an accident. It happened after he dropped you off. Someone was drunk driving too high of a speed and they rammed right into the driver's side,” Yeji said.

    “I knew there was an accident this morning, but… why wasn't anyone notified sooner? It has been hours since then,”

   Yeji shook her head, “I don't know. I keep asking and I just keep getting excuses, I guess. According to paramedics they found Hyunjin's ID and told staff who he was but we never got called,”

   If Felix wasn't so worried he'd probably be more upset about that.

   “How did you get in? I thought you would have needed me to grant you access,” Yeji mentioned.

  “Oh… Uh, I am on Hyunjin's next of kin form,” Felix told her.

    Yeji tilted her head, “How are you on it?”

Felix bit his lip, “A while ago, like back in senior year of Uni, I was having some health problems and you know I'm not close with my family.

  I already had Yuqi on my next of kin form under sister, but uhm, I ended up adding Hyunjin on it just incase and he said it would look weird if it was just on mine so he added me on his,”

   “So you guys are listed as brothers or something?” Yeji question.

   “Fiancés,” Felix mumbled.

  Yeji laughed softly and nodded.

  Felix looked at Hyunjin. He really hoped the older was okay.

   “Family of Hyunjin Hwang?” The doctor questioned.

  “Yes, we are, is everything okay?” Yeji asked.

  “Hyunjin sustained some serious injuries in the accident. We were able to set his broken bones and treat all other injuries, however, he did sustain an incomplete spinal cord injury. We won't know the extent of the damage until he wakes up, but it is possible that he'll be paralysed from the waist down,”

   “Uh, do we know when he may wake or no?” Felix asked.

   “It could be hours or days, we can't be certain,”

   Yeji nodded, “Okay, thank you doctor,”

  The doctor nodded and left.

   Yeji looked at Felix, he looked broken in a way. No matter what happened she knew that Felix could get through it, but at this moment he just seemed lost. Like he was unsure of just everything.

  “I’m going to call our parents and see if I can get some tea. Do you want anything?” She asked.

  Felix looked at her and shook his head, “No, I am good, thank you,”

   The older nodded leaving the room.

      The brunet looked back at Hyunjin and held his hand gently. He sniffled as tears fell.

“You better wake up…” He muttered, “because if you don’t I will never forgive you. You have a baby on the way and they need you and Sophia needs you. Yeji needs you and so do your niece and nephews…and I need you.

So, I swear if you do not wake up I will never forgive you, because I thought I lost you once and I can’t handle the thought of actually losing you. You are the love of my life and you need to wake up so we can grow old together and do all that cheesy stuff we talked about… just wake up, Hyunjin,” Felix said.
