I didn't want to go back into the office.
Honestly, I just wanted to get on a train, and leave Yokohama, catch a flight from Tokyo and disappear.

But I figured if this bounty was that massive, it couldn't just be a few people in the port town that wanted me.

Atsushi told me that they tried to ship him off, before Americans proceeded to come and get him. That's how far his 7 billion yen bounty had spread.

If mine was higher, that meant knowledge of my existence had gone further, right?

"Now, what are you out hear sulking for? Did I offend you that much?" Dazai asked, pushing the door to the office closed behind him.

I was just sitting against the wall, my head in my knees as I turned to look up at him. I didn't know what to make of him.

He used to be apart of the mafia. He trained that devil Akutagawa. Akutagawa knew something about my copy, but as he were about to speak Dazai dragged me away. Kunikida said Dazai was a liar, Mori told me he was a liar.

But can I trust the mafiosos?

I mean, I doubt they had my best interest at heart, but I was being threatened now.

"No, it's not you," I started, standing up and brushing myself off, "and I'm not sulking. I'm thinking. In order to do that, you need to leave me alone." I said, as Dazai sighed.

"You're not allowed to be alone, Y/N. That's how they got Atsushi last time! So, I'll just stay quiet, okay?" Dazai said slowly, as he watched me quietly.

There. The switch. Two faced or what? I just didn't understand him.

"Dazai, have you lied to me?" I asked, clenching my fist behind my back, as he just laughed.

"Oh Y/N, in what way would I ever want to lie to you? There's nothing to lie about, really." Dazai said simply, walking over to me with an outstretched hand.

"Then why did you pull me away from Akutagawa so fast when he mentioned my copy? Is she actually gone?" I asked, this time biting back tears as I looked up into his eyes.

Dazai fell silent, before placing his hands on my shoulders, locking eyes with me.

"Y/N, I promise you, she will never come and hurt you again." Dazai said, as I took a step away from him, he looked genuinely hurt.

"I just don't believe you, Dazai. Why would she be causing the mafia problems if you got rid of her? I just don't get it, please, make it make sense." I asked, as Dazai shook his head.

"I honestly don't know Y/N, but I swear on my life that I dealt with her." Dazai said, pulling me into his arms.

It was only when I heard his gun click that I realise why.

"Now, Higuchi, how can I help you? Walking right into the agency isn't very smart, you know." Dazai asked, keeping me pushed against him, not even letting me turn around.

"I came to deliver a message to Y/N, who lucky for me is out here anyways. The clock is ticking, Y/N, and the mafia is rather impatient. If I were you, I'd hurry it up. It's not that difficult a decision, really." Higuchi said simply.

"She's not going to join you guys. Isn't that clear? Can't we just stop with all this? What's it gonna take, for us to put Akutagawa in a coma again? Just leave the ADA and Y/N alone already." Dazai scoffed, as Higuchi just rolled her eyes.

"She deserves honesty, Dazai, which she won't get here. That's all, I'll be going now." She said, walking off.

I pushed away from Dazai.

"Asshole. Don't go hugging people out of nowhere." I said, turning away.

"Aw, did I fluster you again? You're so easily worked up, Y/N." He laughed, grabbing my hand and bringing me back into the office.

The day passed rather quickly, and then I was back in my room.

I was grateful to of at least been given my own room, not having to share with anyone.

"If they kidnap you, we can help you, but Y/N if you go of your own free will, there's no reason for us to come and help." Dazai explained, Kunikida nodding.

"Yes, that's true. If you decide to go to them, we can no longer help you. You'll lose connection to the President, and you'll lose control of your abilities until they beat control into you. So, just stay here, okay? Don't do anything dumb, like this idiot here," Kunikida frowned, pointing at Atsushi, "he decided to try and hand himself in, you know, being chivalrous and all."

"Hey, I'm not an idiot! I just didn't realise you guys were as strong as you were, so I worried. Sorry for caring." Atsushi sulked, as I just laughed,

"Don't worry, I don't ever have crazy ideas like that."

"Yeah, good one Y/N. Then why are you even considering this right now." I whined, hiding my head under my pillow.

A tapping on my window made me look up, and I'm an instant a cloth came rushing through, and before I could scream, my mouth was covered.

Akutagawa glared at me, his hands in his pockets as I hung in front of him, wrapped in his ability.

"Now, what was so difficult about a 24 hour curfew? It's alright, clearly you're bad with time, so I'll just bring you in myself. I'll let you come in in one piece if you promise to stay quiet, okay?" Akutagawa scowled, clearly unimpressed with my lack of fight, but it was late, I was tired, and just couldn't be bothered.

I nodded as much as I could, as he placed me down, grabbed a hold of my arm, and dragged me with him.

He kept rashomon out and activated however, using it to propel us through Yokohama, until we were at the base of the Port Mafia.

He let me go, turning to me as he shoved his hands back in his pockets.

"Welcome, to hell, Y/N. Or better yet, welcome to the Port Mafia. Let's go meet your new boss, hm?"
