Shujaat's point of view:

Sending the friend request, Rahat logged out from Facebook. A yawn escaped his mouth. This man sitting beside me was genuinely interested in a girl, that too on the virtual world? None would belive me if I told them. Rahat, a charming, attractive, talented and every other adjectives in the dictionary was never genuinely interested in any girl.

Some people had the idea that he bat for the other team and that was why he never dated any girl. I would have thought too, if I didn't know him.

Rahat was quite fun loving, party goer and a social butterfly kinda person. He knew what people loved to talk about. And he used to say exactly the same thing they wanted to hear from him. So people were bound to like him. I knew that much about Rahat after sharing an apartment for three and half years with him.

Rahat had this bad boy aura around him. He was like our office slash friends circle version of Zayn malik. He acted like a bad boy but actually he wasn't one. He was friendly enough to make one feel comfortable and at peace when they talked to him.

But girls were different story. Girls are attracted to bad boys as insects are attracted to the light. So they bought his 'oh I'm the bad boy '  persona and threw themselves at him. And I could tell that he enjoyed the attention.

I was really curious to see how much time it took for this Nowshin girl to get blocked by Rahat.

Soha's point of view

Who knew arguing with a dumb guy needed so much patience and energy. It took all my patience and so much willpower to not to cuss him in those comments. Though I couldn't help but revile him mentally. Who wouldn't? As much as I  wanted to cuss him to the oblivion, I desist doing so. Because I didn't like vituperating people.

It was almost twelve at noon. Suddenly it occurred to me that I had an appointment with the realtor and also had to visit the shops and the factory today.

I inherited six shops from my mother. She was an entrepreneur. Before she got married to my father, she used to make handcraft things and sell them to the souvenir shops. Then she bought one shop and gradually her business progressed. When I turned 18, her lawyer came to meet me and my brother. He read ammu's will infront of us and forked out the ownership to me. Since then I owned the shops. Before I turned 18, my father worked as a representative of me.

Four shower heads sprayed warm water on me which  soothed my mind. I had to have a quick shower. I would have shampooed my hair but I was running late. I didn't realize that it was almost twelve while arguing with that. . .man. I had an important meeting with the real estate agent. I needed to relocate the factory. As it was expanding, it was in need of more space.

I looked at the clock. It was ten past twelve. The quick shower wasn't as quick as I'd have liked.  I applied some moisturizer and sunscreen lotion and put on the clothes that I grabbed without paying any attention to.

It was a black knee length kurti with white leggings.I stood in front of the dressing table and pulled my hair high ponytails and then applied some lip bum.

When I ran to the rack of my footwears, Mahzabin came in grinning like a Cheshire cat.

I know you have the perfect teeth. Now shut your mouth. I thought to myself and asked her, "Why are you grinning like you've just won the world cup?"

"Why would I not? You logged into the account. Not only that, you also had a civil conversation with someone."

What! Did she think of me as if I'm a girl from stone age or something?  Why would I not have a civil convo with people? But I said the opposite of what I thought.

"What? When? I did no such thing. The account must be gotten hacked." I acted surprised and clueless.

"Don't try to act innocent. Only you can argue over such silly things and try to make your opponent see your logic. But I'm proud of you." She squealed happily. And I snickered mentally.

Only if she knew how much I wanted to punch the guy and knock some sense into him. I rolled my eyes again remembering those dumb comments that guy left.

"Are you free today? I wanted to hang out with my bestie." She asked me smiling. I kept putting my laptop, cellphone and other necessary things in my bag.

"No, I've got an important meeting with the 'Nagarayan real estate company in 45 minutes. And then I've to go check on the shops and factory."

"Oh! I totally forgot, it's the visiting day of the week. I really wanted us to hang out today." She pouted but I didn't pay heed to what she was saying.

Now she has time to hang out with me! What about those times when I really wanted to spend time with my best friend. And she made stupid excuses like visiting grandma or about having assignment to complete.

But rather than voicing my thoughts out and loud, I asked her if she wanted to accompany me to the shops and the factory.

"I would love to. By the way, the guy you had an argument with, has sent a friend request." She told me smiling brightly.

"Why? " I asked her in irritation.

"How would I know? Maybe he found you interesting and wants to know you?" She replied.

"Ha! Me? Interesting? There's nothing interesting in me. And I made it clear in the bio." I told her.

"Maybe it backfired? I mean to say that when you do or say something unusual, like 'don't follow me' or anything like that. It actually makes the people do the exact opposite thing. It's called reverse psychology or something like that."

She told me nodding her head slowly as if confirming her opinion.

"Whatever, cancel it.  I don't want him as a friend."

"Actually I already accepted his request." Mahi said and jumped away from me.
