(Roselyn's pov)

Jeff handed me a mask so I could hide my identity. The mask was white with black lips and a tribal rose over the left eye socket.

I slipped it on and climbed in through the window of our victim's house.

The house belonged to a family of three, a mother and her two children.

I took care of the woman while Jeff and Liu disposed of the children.

I pulled my dagger out and stabbed her seven times all the while she screamed and begged for mercy. Once she had ceased all living functions, I placed a black rose on her chest. Before I took my leave I wrote on the wall behind me. In the woman's blood I wrote, 'Welcome to my garden of shadows!'

Suddenly I heard police sirens and my brothers were nowhere to be seen.

With quick, swift movements, I escaped via rooftop jumping. Without thinking of where I was going, I ran until I came across the alley behind the former bar.

I was exhausted, alone, and covered in blood. To only make things worse, it was in the middle of December. I am stranded out in the cold, snowy, god-forsaken ruins of my former job site.

(Richard's pov)

I had nearly given up on the search, when I heard the faint sound of a woman's cries coming from the alley where I rescued Roselyn from Cole.

Cautiously, I walked in the alley. There, I saw a masked woman wearing a black trench coat dress, boots, and fedora. She was shivering and covered in blood.

I tried to get closer without alarming her, but failed when I had accidentally kicked an old beer can.

She stood and darted her head in my direction.

"Listen ma'am, I don't wanna cause any trouble" I said putting my hands up in surrender.

"R-Richard, i-is that y-you?" she croaked in between hiccups.

Before I could respond she was lunging at me. She held on tightly still crying. When she looked up at me, the mask fell to the ground, revealing the tear stained face of my beloved angel.

"Shh, it's okay Ro, I’m here now" I cooed wrapping my arms around her small shivering form.

Just then, I heard the voice of the person behind Roselyn's disappearance.

"What the hell do you think you're doing Richard?" Jeff spat.

"I'm taking her home where she belongs" I retorted not letting her go.

"You can't do that" Liu chimed.

"Why the fuck not!" I growled.

"Because if I do go with you, Zalgo will go ape shit nuts and murder all of us" Roselyn muttered.

That was when I realized that Jeff and Liu were only trying to protect Roselyn.

Adrian and the others caught up and were filled in on the situation. We all agreed to take them back to the mansion, and deal with Zalgo when the time comes.
