I stared at Mason in shock. My hand made its way to my mouth.

"You came back for me." I whispered as a sob escaped my lips.

I couldn't believe my eyes.

"Of course I did, I wasn't going to leave you." He said walking towards me.

I smiled as a few more tears fell from my eyes.

He tucked a piece of hair behind my ear then looked at my face. "Look at what he did to you." He said with guilt in his eyes.

I looked down then smiled, "I'll be fine as soon as we leave this place."

He nodded and then crashed his lips to mine; unlike Xavier his kiss was soft not rough.

I hugged his torso then whispered, "I love you."

He smiled and then replied with, "I love you too."

After a few minutes of us holding each other I decided to look at Xavier who was lying unconscious on the floor.

"We should leave before he wakes up." He said while I just nodded.

He wrapped his arm around my waist while I put my weight on him since I was pretty weak. We went down the stairs and out of the floor to the garage where a black sports car was parked.

"That's your car?" I whispered in awe.

He chuckled then said, "Yeah, you like?"

I nodded my vigorously. He sat me in the passenger seat and buckled me up. I smiled at him when he saw me staring. After many countless hours of driving I finally saw the town come to view.

"So where do you live?" He asks.

I told him the address as he drove towards my house. My house came into view and I saw that there were police cars patrolling the entire area and my parent's security guards whom I recognised as Mark and Mathew were standing outside the house.

Mason parked the car in the garage and they started coming towards us with their guns raised. Mason ignored them and got out of the car coming towards my side, helping me out. As soon as Mark saw me his eyes widened.

He looked at me shocked and hurriedly went inside. Suddenly he came back with my parents.

"Aubrey." My mum said, her voice breaking towards the end when she saw me. She ran to me, suffocating me with one of her famous hugs whilst sobbing. Soon my dad came with teary eyes and hugged me while Mason stood there awkwardly.

After a few moments we broke apart. We all went inside the house and called the police. I looked at Mason and then told my parents about how he had saved me, leaving out the part where he was in the gang and dragged me back to Xavier when I first escaped of course.

Soon the police escaped and we told them the location where Xavier was. Many police cars started going to the location while a few of them asked me and Mason questions. We didn't tell anyone Mason was a part of the gang but rather lived in his parent's beach house near the house I was being held captive for vacation.

After many hours of interrogation they finally left and I was left with my parents and Mason.

My father came to him and then patted his shoulder saying, "Thank you son for bringing my daughter back."

Mason nodded and then replied, "It's no problem, sir, but may I talk to you in private?"

He asked getting up. My father looked at him confused then stood up. They went outside leaving me there confused.

What are they talking about?

Mason's POV:

"May I talk to you in private?" I asked her father who looked confused but later agreed.

I looked at Aubrey who looked as confused as her father but decided to ignore it.

We went inside the house.

"So what do you want to talk about son?" He asked.

"Sir, I wanted to tell you that your daughter has gone through a lot and I know this is not over because Xavier is a leader of a very big and ruthless gang and he will be back but I want to tell you that I love your daughter very much and swear to protect her from any harm. I'd rather die than let that vile person hurt her. That's why I wanted to talk to you in private." I take a deep breath then continued. "Sir, I want your permission to let me date your daughter and even if you don't want me near her, I will understand and respect your decision."

I said looking at him carefully.

He smiled at me and then said, "You are the first person to ever say that to me, I give you permission to go out with her but don't hurt her or let anyone else hurt her. She is the world to me." I smiled and nodded.

"Don't worry, sir." I say.

"We should go inside its getting cold." He said while putting his hand on my shoulder.

Aubrey's POV:

I have changed into my clothes and put the clothes Xavier brought me into the bin. I was sitting in the living room waiting for my father and Mason to come back inside. Soon both of them entered the living room again. Mum was in the kitchen cooking, insisting I eat something because I looked really pale.

Dad has his hand on Mason's shoulder while Mason was smiling like an idiot at me.

My idiot.

I looked at them suspiciously then said, "Is everything okay?" I asked.

"I'll go in the kitchen and help your mother." My father said then left.

I nodded. When he left I looked at Mason and then said, "Mason, what is it?"

"Will you like to on a date with me?" He asks.

I looked at him and then said, "But dad-"

"Don't worry, I asked his permission and he said yes." He says excitedly.

I gave him a toothy grin, "In that case, I will love to."

He smiles and then kisses me on the cheek.

"Tomorrow at eight, then." He says.

I nod.

Soon my parents came into the living room.

"So tell us about yourself, Mason." My mother says.

Mason smiles and then says, "There isn't much to say. I am 19 years old and even though I haven't finished college yet I still get a lot of job offers. I plan on going to the University of Southern California in a few months."

"Isn't that the university you have an application for?" My mom says. I nod.

"So what do you parents do?" My father asks.

"My parents are businessmen. My father is the owner of Anderson co-operation." He says.

"So you are the heir of Anderson co-operation." My father asks.

He nods then smiles at me.

"Why didn't you tell me that before?" I whisper shout in his ear. He just shrugs.

The dinner soon gets ready and we go into the dining room. After eating my mother gets up and says, "I will be right back."

After a few minutes she comes back holding a few envelopes in her hand. She passes me the envelopes. I look through them and notice they are the letters from the colleges I applied for but one letter specifically catches my eye.

University of Southern California.

I hurriedly open the letter as my eyes scan over it.

I got accepted.

I smile and then look at my parents, who were staring at me.

"Guess what?" I asked.

My mother raised her eyebrows indicating for me to continue.

"I got accepted into the University of Southern California!" I said.

Mason looked at me and then said, "That's great! Now we can go there together."

I nod whilst my parents hug and congratulate me.

Everything is perfect. I hope Xavier doesn't come back and ruin it.

Finally... home sweet home.
