Sauna - Pato
You would think that working as a photographer for Indycar would be the dream job for someone who loves photography and Indycar more than anything. And it wouldn't be that wrong, it's just that the stress never seems to stop. The young woman looked at herself in the hotel mirror. Her eyes were lined with dark circles and her skin was more pale than usual. She needed a break. Her gaze wandered down to the hotel's small information sheet: pool opening times, massage room, sauna 24h, and sports area. Her eyes pause for a moment before going back. The sauna was open the whole day. The idea that she could sit in a warm room, where she didn't have to do anything, where she could have peace, felt like a dream. Her hand grabed the paper and turned it over, hoping to get more information about the sauna. And indeed. There was a lot of information on the back. The sauna was in the basement and was completely free. It also didn't have to be reserved.
Looking at her watch, she realized that it was already shortly after midnight already. So it's unlikely that anyone would even be in the sauna now. She grabed two towels, her cell phone, and the room card and headed downstairs.
It was quiet in the hotel and for a moment she thought about whether it wouldn't have been a better idea to just lie down and sleep, but she was too excited and too exhausted to sleep now. She sighed softly and shakes her head. No, she needed something good now, something she could enjoy. The elevator door opened again and damp air greeted her. She took a deep breath and slowly began to walk down the hallway. Without thinking about it, she followed the signs to the sauna area. Her footsteps echo off the bare walls. She breathed a sigh of relief when she finally reached the door. Now all she wanted to do was sit down and relax. Her hand wrapped around the door nob and opened it, expecting to be faced with an empty room, but that wasn't the case.
Her eyes met a pair of all too familiar eyes. One of the drivers. She froze in the doorway for a moment. Unable to move. He stared back. He blinked. "Wait a minute, I know you!" The other person's voice echoed through the room and is the first to break the silence. She kept staring at him, then swallowed. Pato was sitting there with only a towel around his waist. She felt a blush rising to her cheeks. He sat up slightly and the little light began to illuminate his abs perfectly. Damn, he looked attractive right now. "You're one of the photographers, wait, I can remember your name..." "Y/n!" Her voice sounds a little thin. She really needed to pull herself together again. "Exactly y/n, thank you!" He laughed quietly.
"Why don't you come in?" He sounded somewhat amused as he asks the question. Only now did she realized that she was still standing in the doorway like a fucking idiot. However, even his words didn't get her to move yet. "I... uh... I don't want to disturb you...!" she finally got out, which is met with another laugh. Goosebumps traveled up her spine. The laughter was a really pleasant sound, something she had always liked. But in this situation it felt different somehow. More intimate. "Oh, you're not bothering me!" He finally said and slid to the side a little to make a little more space next to him.
The photographer hesitated again, but the warmth and the thought of relaxation finally prevailed and she entered the room and closed the door behind her. Now they were alone. She took a deep breath and sat down on the wooden bench next to him. It was quiet for a moment. Even though she keeped her eyes on the door, she could feel the other's burning look on her. "And what makes it that you don't sleep like most other people at this time?" Something was soothing about his voice again, something that lured her in like honey.
She turned her head slightly to look at him. "Hmm... I needed a break from everything and the mattresses in the hotel aren't always the best for my back!" She retorted as she raised her hand to rub her tense shoulders in confirmation of her words. "What brings you here at this time?" Pato pressed his lips together for a moment as he watched her. "To calm down after training!" He explained but made it sound more like a mumble. His eyes wandered over her shoulders and his mind seemed to wander.
He cleared his throat slightly and carefully leaned towards her. "I... might be able to help you with your shoulders!" His voice sounded calm and yet there was something in his eyes that she couldn't quite place. But she trusted him so she just nodded slightly. "OK!" It was a stupid reaction. She should ask what he was up to. She should lean away from him and put some distance between them. But she wanted to know what would come next. She wanted her hunch to be confirmed.
He smiled slightly. "Then turn away from me again!" This time his voice had that lightness again that he was known for. The young woman didn't hesitate and turned away from him. Shortly afterward two hands cool against the heat around them were placed on her shoulders. They were pleasant and gentle, but she could feel the strength in them. Almost cautiously, his finger began to stroke her skin and began to massage the battered and tense muscles.
The photographer sighed in relief as a pleasant pain radiated from her shoulders. Her head began to fall forward to give the other person more space. A light laugh came from behind her. "Feels good?" he asked from behind her, sounding closer than she would have guessed. But right now she didn't care. She nodded ever so slightly. His fingers began to trail along her shoulder blades only to slowly stroke up her spine. Every now and then he managed to elicit a pleasant sigh from her. She began to lean back ever so slightly.
"You look like you needed this!" This time she not only heard his voice but feeled her breath on her skin. For a moment everything froze. She hadn't noticed how Pato had moved closer and closer to her body, how she was now almost lying in his arms. She turned her head and looked right into his eyes. Not a word left their mouths. He just looked at her for a moment. Then he leaned forward a little and his lips found hers. She didn't hesitate for a second before returning the kiss. His hand moved from her shoulder down to her hip, pulling her closer to his body. Her eyes closed and she let herself fall completely into his arms. Yes, she needed this, all of it.
Looking back, she coudn't even say when they moved from the sauna to her room. The only thing she knew for sure is that in the end, a complete calm has spread throughout her entire body. When she woke up the next day, she still felt this incredible calm. That and the strong, warm arm around her body. Her smile immediately spread back to her lips. It just felt too good. She sighed softly and fell back a little further. Breath brushed against her neck as he slowly began to wake up. "Morning!" His voice was a little shaky and sounded like he was still half asleep. Her cheeks began to turn a slightly darker color as her brain began to think of the other things that happened last night.
But a little worry came to her mind too. Would he leave her alone again when he wakes up completely? Would it just be this one night, this one encounter? "Morning!" she whispered. His arm wrapped a little tighter around her waist, pulling her body closer to his. Light kisses began to trail down her neck, eliciting a small laugh from her. "Are you more relaxed than yesterday?" He whispered.
The young woman turned her head slightly to look at the other person. "Mh... was that the only reason we ended up here?" She tried to make the question sound more like a joke, but something inside her wanted to hear the true answer. She wanted him to give her another reason. A slight laugh and a shake of the head is the answer. His eyes were still a little sleepy. "I just used it as a...let's say excuse!" he admited. His eyes wandered over her face as if it was the most beautiful thing he had ever seen in his life. "Excuse?" she asked confused.
That beautiful, gentle smile began to appear on his lips again. He raiseed his hand and pushed a strand of her hair away from her face. "Have you never noticed how I watch you? Every time I see you I forget everything around me. I've been thinking about the best way to approach you for months, but in the end I never get it right. When you were just standing in the sauna with me yesterday... I used it to finally get close to you!" The statement took her breath away for a moment. She didn't know if she should react to it, how to react to it. "You...!" She whispered, amazed, without really saying anything.
He pulled her closer to him and him again and buried his face in her neck. "Mm, me?" he asked calmly and let his breath wander over her skin again. "You were watching me?" she whispered. The nod she could only feel was the answer. Her hand moveed down his arm and slowly began to explore his fingers. "It sounds like you're in love with me..." She knew that she was taking a big risk with this statement, but she had the feeling that she would get a positive answer. There was silence for a moment, then she feeled him nodding again. Her hand took the other's as she turned to him.
"Say it!" She whispered as she looked into Pato's eyes. The enchanting smile lit up his entire face as he took the time to let his gaze wander over her face.
"I love you, y/n!"
"I love you too, Pato!"
